Starting with version 1.23^{(Release Notes)}:

To get full access to adult material you will need to take some additional steps.

Without this, you will be limited in

• Using adult level search, and,
• Travel to adult rated map regions.

Step 1: Verification

The first step is called "Verification". There are several different ways to do it:

• Age Verification from your account section on the Second Life website
  • See age verification.
• Account Verification by providing payment information on the Second Life website
  • SL Knowledge Base: How can I view/change my account/billing information?
• Account Verification via the XStreet SL website (which is also owned by Linden Lab).

Step 2: Activate Adult settings in Client Software

• When logged into Second Life with the 1.23 or later software, go to Edit Menu > Preferences > General Tab, and Under "Rating;" Choose "PG, Mature, and Adult"

• After clicking the Search button on the bottom of the screen, for most tabs in Search, check the Adult Content box if you want to get adult results for that tab.
