According to the Second Life Terms of Service:
(Section 2.3) By accepting this agreement in connection with an Account outside the Teen Area, you represent that you are an adult 18 years of age or older.
Starting with version 1.23:
To get full access to adult material you will need to take some additional steps.
Without this, you will be limited in
- Using adult level search, and,
- Travel to adult rated map regions.
The process is called "Verification". There are several different ways to do it:
- Age Verification from your account section on the Second Life website
