  • [15:03] Psi Merlin: Hi Ima
  • [15:03] Entering god: mode, level 200
  • [15:04] Psi Merlin: Hello Everyone.
  • [15:04] Oskar Linden: we really only have one thing to talk about this week
  • [15:04] Oskar Linden: I just want to see how 1.40.4 is going
  • [15:04] Oskar Linden: we've had a few issues pop up here and there
  • [15:04] xstorm Radek: oh that reminds me Oskar sir i have been looking at 0 Prim Temp Rezzers they are not good for the health of a sims physics at all
  • [15:04] Oskar Linden: but overall it seems like this version will take
  • [15:05] Oskar Linden: xstorm is not good for the health of sim physics :-)
  • [15:05] xstorm Radek: true
  • [15:05] xstorm Radek: lol
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: but I appreciate it :-D
  • [15:06] xstorm Radek:  :-)
  • [15:06] Oskar Linden: do any of you see anything major that would stop us from rolling 1.40.4 to the whole grid
  • [15:07] Donlad Avro: no
  • [15:07] Monty Linden: attachment problems?
  • [15:07] Donlad Avro:  :-)
  • [15:07] xstorm Radek: no the 0 prim temp rezzers just need to be rescripted
  • [15:07] Monty Linden: Donlad says we're good, Oskar. Let's do it.
  • [15:07] Donlad Avro: lol
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: monty was following up on some crashers
  • [15:07] xstorm Radek: there is a timing problem with them
  • [15:07] Oskar Linden: but overall the issus have been minimal
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: some bots will need some tweaking
  • [15:08] Sylvie Grizot: What about recovering the attachments that were lost in the initial rollout?
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: has anyone seen tp issues where they end up at 0/0/0 ?
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: Sylvie. attachment recovery issues fall into supports lap
  • [15:08] Oskar Linden: there isn't anything I or the server team can do
  • [15:08] xstorm Radek: Oskar you can get that with some bad sit and teleport scripts
  • [15:08] Sylvie Grizot: Support just say to clear cache and relog.
  • [15:09] Rex Cronon: i have TPed somewhere and suddenly the tp screen shows without me doing anything
  • [15:09] Monty Linden: (and support is a bit angry with us at the moment)
  • [15:09] Sylvie Grizot: Is there no Backup that can be retrieved?
  • [15:09] Sylvie Grizot: lol
  • [15:09] Ima Mechanique: no, only weirdness I've seen is sitting on object sticking me underground for 10-20 seconds. But that's not new ;-)
  • [15:09] Donlad Avro: Sylvie, support is useless.
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: I saw the tp to 0/0/0 things once on my own. I was wondering if anyone else had just using a regular vwr and a plain tp
  • [15:09] Donlad Avro: I never had that problem, Oskar
  • [15:09] xstorm Radek: may be its a bad teleport script doing it ?
  • [15:09] Oskar Linden: ok
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: I don't tp with scripts
  • [15:10] Donlad Avro: I use Emerald, and 2.1 beta
  • [15:10] xstorm Radek: yes but some people do
  • [15:10] Flynn Tigerpaw: Did that happen with a regular tp with a landmark?
  • [15:10] Rex Cronon: i hope u don't change to 1.40 on friday:)
  • [15:10] Oskar Linden: right I know. I was mentioning that I saw it without any tp scripts
  • [15:10] Sylvie Grizot: Sometimes I end up at 0 0 0 briefly on TP then arrive at the right place (normal TP)
  • [15:10] xstorm Radek: i know i had to reset my home teleport do to it was messed up and sent me to zindra every time
  • [15:11] Donlad Avro: well it says 0 0 0 when I get there until it completes the TP, but its never directly put me at 0 0 0
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: if anyone can find an adequate repro using a tp script on agni let me know
  • [15:11] Oskar Linden: I had a stuck av at 0/0/0 for about 45s untl the tp finished
  • [15:11] xstorm Radek: i never seen that other then with scripted items
  • [15:11] Donlad Avro: Mine have only lasted 1-3 seconds
  • [15:11] Another Hax: appearing at 0,0,0 on sit happens most often when using primparams to seat/move agent, right when sim is having issues
  • [15:11] Simon Linden: I know there's a timing problem with region crossings (and possibly TPs) that can momentarily mess up your position
  • [15:12] Sylvie Grizot: mine just briefly too
  • [15:12] Donlad Avro: I use TP scripts and I also havent had any problems with them
  • [15:12] Another Hax: missed a beat
  • [15:12] Oskar Linden: so more or less thumbs up for 1.40.4?
  • [15:12] Donlad Avro: yup
  • [15:12] Donlad Avro: but...
  • [15:12] xstorm Radek: well yes i can not drive any thing across a sim crossing
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: Donlad. I have always been curious. Was your name meant to be donald?
  • [15:13] Rex Cronon: there something weird going on if u tp while sitting. when u arrive the sitting animation doesn't stop
  • [15:13] RINOBIT Footman: I do not know if this depends on server 1.40, but I teleported from a sim with server 1.40 to a sim with server 1.38, and my avatar is stuck in grid, in the logout process ...It'is still blocked from two days ... : (
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: that is an old bug rex
  • [15:13] Donlad Avro: I'm not real technical, I'm more of a consumer than a developer...I thought havok7 was supposed to be a performance improvement?
  • [15:13] Ima Mechanique: yupOskar, isn't it ruse to ask someone if they are a typo?
  • [15:13] Donlad Avro: Actually no Oskar, Donlad is a nickname given to me by a friend.. Donald is my real name though :-)
  • [15:13] Sylvie Grizot:  :-)
  • [15:13] Oskar Linden: nice
  • [15:14] Another Hax: finding yourself at 0,0,0 (visually) is an age old prob too
  • [15:14] Moon Metty: RINOBIT , the region where you're stuck needs a restart
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: I was once given the suglebo and I don't know why
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: given the nickname I meant to say
  • [15:14] Donlad Avro: hahaha
  • [15:14] RINOBIT Footman: yes, but it's a PROTECDE LAND, owned by Governor Linden
  • [15:14] RINOBIT Footman: I can't restart it
  • [15:14] RINOBIT Footman: .)
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: havok 7 does have performance issues
  • [15:14] Oskar Linden: but they may not be immediately apparent
  • [15:14] xstorm Radek: well if its the Ontyne support they all need training
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: region transfer for ground based vehicles are slightly better
  • [15:15] Sylvie Grizot: Agrees with xstorm
  • [15:15] Sylvie Grizot: they don't read what you write
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: most of the enhancements were for ground based vehicles
  • [15:15] Ima Mechanique: xstorm, they need more than training. a clue might help as they obviously don't have one
  • [15:15] Donlad Avro: Ah
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: falcon has a lot more tweaks and enhancements coming
  • [15:15] Sylvie Grizot: i know more than they do
  • [15:15] Donlad Avro: Oh cool. 1.42? :)
  • [15:15] Donlad Avro: lol
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: getting the h7 code up to date was the first step
  • [15:15] xstorm Radek: but can the Ontyne read or just copy from the KB ?
  • [15:15] Oskar Linden: 1.42 will be very very light
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: light and small
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: change wise I mean
  • [15:16] Kitto Flora: Does 1.42 still have the fix for fins?
  • [15:16] Donlad Avro: I suppose I was hoping 1.40 would be my savior in the Sim performance and lag area
  • [15:16] Ovaltine Constantine: "Light" meaning it'll have http textures and threaded region crossing, right?
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: we are doing massive overhaul of internal processes
  • [15:16] Oskar Linden: and are trying to make releases happen a lot faster
  • [15:16] xstorm Radek: can there be a post about some temp rezzers may need restarting after roll out ?
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: sure xstorm. feel free :-)
  • [15:17] xstorm Radek: gee thanks lol
  • [15:17] Sylvie Grizot: Oskar, there is a balance to be found there - otherwise you get issues like all the lost Inventory on 20th June...
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: empowers you
  • [15:17] Donlad Avro: My preference is smaller releases and more frequently... smaller releases make finding bugs easier, do they not? :)
  • [15:17] Oskar Linden: balance for what Sylvie?
  • [15:17] Another Hax: temp rezzers.. ignore thy neighbors temp prim limits
  • [15:18] Sylvie Grizot: speed or rolling things out vs testing / load testing
  • [15:18] Oskar Linden: smaller releases do not make finding bugs easier, but getting the fixes live happens faster
  • [15:18] Sylvie Grizot: speed for*
  • [15:18] Oskar Linden: agreed Sylvie
  • [15:18] xstorm Radek: i do have a video of the temp rezzer script as it starts to go off line
  • [15:18] Oskar Linden: testing will happen constantly
  • [15:18] Ovaltine Constantine: Idk, the weekly Viewer 2 updates seem to be getting worse every time
  • [15:18] Donlad Avro: Well then that's good. :)
  • [15:18] Sylvie Grizot: ah okay, i see what you mean - like RAD
  • [15:19] Oskar Linden: xstorm. message me on agni about the temp rezzer stuff this afternoon and get me back up to speed on that ok?
  • [15:19] xstorm Radek: [2]
  • [15:19] xstorm Radek: ok
  • [15:19] Oskar Linden: this weekend will be the first big weekend for 1.40.4
  • [15:19] Oskar Linden: I know you guys won't be shy if you find things out before we do
  • [15:20] Oskar Linden: file a jira and let me know
  • [15:20] Donlad Avro: Who was working on the Mono update? I forget.
  • [15:20] xstorm Radek: i hope with the fix that it will not happen on Agni
  • [15:20] Oskar Linden: we will make our decision on Tuesday whether to roll 1.40.4 to the whole grid
  • [15:20] Oskar Linden: your input is always appreciated
  • [15:20] Oskar Linden: I think kelly is doing most mono work these days Donlad
  • [15:20] Marc Adored: babbage was mono wasnt it?
  • [15:20] Sylvie Grizot: Oskar - could I ask about the "Object is missing from database" error - is it possible that items could be recovered from Backup if we give the exact name and creator Key, for example?
  • [15:21] xstorm Radek: thats why i was hoping Trendone was going to get the 1.40 when it was sent to agni to test
  • [15:21] Oskar Linden: you'll have to chat with Support Sylvie
  • [15:21] Sylvie Grizot: Do you still have backups Inventory backups from 20th June?
  • [15:21] Donlad Avro: Sylvie, the only thing Oskar can do is refer you to support. :-)
  • [15:21] Oskar Linden: what Donlad said
  • [15:21] Rex Cronon: i have the "Object is missing from database" error too. but i have no idea what is missing:(
  • [15:21] Donlad Avro: And then support will refer you to the Clear Cache button. :-)
  • [15:21] Sylvie Grizot: If I get an Ontyne they probably won't even know what backup is
  • [15:22] xstorm Radek: do not bother with support the Ontyne are a bad joke
  • [15:22] Sylvie Grizot: THey already did that Donlad
  • [15:22] Latif Khalifa: is bracing for a lot of heat wrt 0/0/0 thing and libomv :P
  • [15:22] Sylvie Grizot: I just want to know if there's a backup - if not there's no point in asking
  • [15:22] Oskar Linden: ur bracing for heat Latif?
  • [15:22] Rex Cronon: backup=a button on your keyboard that moves your computer one meter back:)
  • [15:22] Donlad Avro: My point is... support (in my experience) won't give an object back that you lost.
  • [15:22] Sylvie Grizot: lol Rex
  • [15:22] Latif Khalifa: Oskar, I got 10 emails already
  • [15:22] Sylvie Grizot: I didn't lose it
  • [15:22] Sylvie Grizot: LL did
  • [15:23] Donlad Avro: Let me correct myself
  • [15:23] Donlad Avro: Support will not give you back an item that you and/or LL lost.
  • [15:23] Oskar Linden: I have no special abilities that support doesn't have
  • [15:23] Oskar Linden: I have no magic tool for re-creating lost inventory items
  • [15:23] Oskar Linden: I wish I could be more help
  • [15:23] Donlad Avro: And neither does support. :-)
  • [15:23] Sylvie Grizot: i didn't mean that you had abilities, it was more the technical point about whether there woudl still be backups from 20th June
  • [15:24] Ima Mechanique: I disagree Oskar, common sense and the ability to read what's in front of you are abilities you possess ;-)
  • [15:24] Oskar Linden: be nice ima :-)
  • [15:24] Sylvie Grizot: if there are, then it shoudl be possible via SQL to work out where the record is and copy/paste to live
  • [15:24] Donlad Avro: I don't even think support has access to backups.
  • [15:24] Ima Mechanique: umm that was nice
  • [15:24] Oskar Linden: is happy he doesn't work in support. their job is very underappreciated.
  • [15:24] Sylvie Grizot: wht's the point in having backups if you can't retrieve stuff ???
  • [15:24] Rex Cronon: right now if u want backup u need to make an alt and to give to that alt all your inventory that is tranferrable:(
  • [15:25] Donlad Avro: So that say, if an asset server blew up, they could replace it.
  • [15:25] Rex Cronon: transferable*
  • [15:25] Another Hax: this day an age of data storage.. you'd think you could keep track of everything (looks over at 3 1tb drives for txt info storage alone)
  • [15:25] Simon Linden: fwiw there really aren't 'backup' of our databases ... I los t count of how many terabytes we are up to now. Its over 200, I think
  • [15:25] xstorm Radek: Oskar the Ontyne group was reading to me some thing from the KB that i help in having posted
  • [15:25] Flynn Tigerpaw: if an item got wiped, wouldn't everyone who had the item lose it?
  • [15:26] Sylvie Grizot: okay thank you Simon
  • [15:26] Oskar Linden: Anoterh Hax. do your drives get and additioanl 1tb of prims named 'object' every day?
  • [15:26] Another Hax: I'd buy more drives
  • [15:26] xstorm Radek: OMG!!
  • [15:26] Oskar Linden: it's not that simple xstorm
  • [15:27] Oskar Linden: we are working on the ability to have more felxible storage space
  • [15:27] Another Hax: They are cheap now, much less than 1 dollar per gb
  • [15:27] Oskar Linden: but we're not entirely there yet
  • [15:27] Donlad Avro: LL server storage must get expensive. :-)
  • [15:28] xstorm Radek: you will need to pee after that Skills
  • [15:28] Sylvie Grizot: Yeah Flynn, it's the record of *me* having the object that's wiped - except the name of it is still in Inventory (and the properties eg Creator)
  • [15:28] Oskar Linden: storage related issues are easily solved for small databases. when you get something like our inv server the whole game changes
  • [15:28] Another Hax: trolling large info db sure does take awhile.. but i dont mind waiting to get back soemthing lost
  • [15:28] Chaos Borkotron: So what would happen if concurrency doubled over night?
  • [15:28] Oskar Linden: all that to say "I apologize for your loss" :-(
  • [15:28] Sylvie Grizot: nods
  • [15:29] Oskar Linden: if concurrency doubled overnight...
  • [15:29] Oskar Linden: not sure I want to find out
  • [15:29] Oskar Linden:  :-)
  • [15:29] Donlad Avro: haha
  • [15:29] Sylvie Grizot: lol
  • [15:29] Ima Mechanique: several Lindens would have nervous breakdowns
  • [15:29] xstorm Radek: may be i can test the 2000 objects test and see how well autoretuns works too :-)]
  • [15:29] Rex Cronon: and to think that if we had local inventory most of these "Object is missing from database" errors would be gone:(
  • [15:29] Monty Linden: we're self-throttling, it can't happen. *snort*
  • [15:30] Another Hax: true rex
  • [15:30] Oskar Linden: local inv is a nasty pile of legal issues I won't even touch with a 10ft pole
  • [15:30] Donlad Avro: Local inventory surely would open the door to a more easy copybot.
  • [15:30] Rex Cronon: at least for thing we make
  • [15:30] xstorm Radek:  ? like to see if it can or not ?
  • [15:30] Marc Adored: yes local inventory opens a whole nother can or worms
  • [15:30] Another Hax: legal mostly
  • [15:30] Oskar Linden: yeah
  • [15:30] Rex Cronon: if u allow it only for thing u make there will be no worms in there:)
  • [15:30] Skills Hak: mmm local inv
  • [15:31] Oskar Linden: so this is a fairly light meeting today
  • [15:31] Chaos Borkotron: can i throw "whats happening with mesh imports" into the mix, i know a lot of people who want to know
  • [15:31] Flynn Tigerpaw: Sylvie, did you have more than 1 copy of the item in your inventory? (this inv thing has me confused)
  • [15:31] Oskar Linden: we've talked about 1.40.4 and that seems mostly happy
  • [15:31] Oskar Linden: thoughts on the enxt topic?
  • [15:31] Chaos Borkotron: mesh importing
  • [15:31] Sylvie Grizot: ~Flynn I'll IM you
  • [15:31] Flynn Tigerpaw: ok
  • [15:31] xstorm Radek: i think i can do a quick script that will pump out 20000 objects in a short time then send it to inventory
  • [15:31] Oskar Linden: so you want me to comment on a project that is not officially public?
  • [15:32] Rex Cronon: can't emerald do local inv already, skills:)
  • [15:32] Maestro Linden: this is more of the old topic, but if anybody has more concrete details about SVC-6028, that would be helpful
  • [15:32] Issue Helper: Issue does not exist... try again, Maestro Linden
  • [15:32] Maestro Linden: o_O
  • [15:32] Oskar Linden: I'd like that script xstorm :-)
  • [15:32] Marc Adored: if he tells you about mesh imports he will have to kill you
  • [15:32] Chaos Borkotron: yes, well its sort of public
  • [15:32] Moon Metty: it was moved to SEC?
  • [15:32] Maestro Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-6028
  • [15:32] Issue Helper: [#SVC-6028
  • http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/svc-6028
  • [15:32] Oskar Linden: sure. let's talk about that
  • [15:32] Oskar Linden: take it away Maestro
  • [15:32] Chaos Borkotron: its been leaked, 2 video's and the SLCC one
  • [15:33] Chaos Borkotron: wow chat lag
  • [15:33] Maestro Linden: the report was just that an elevator broke somewhere, somehow. but that's not enough to go on :)
  • [15:33] Oskar Linden: it's not leaked. we even gave a demo last year at SLCC
  • [15:33] Oskar Linden: but it is not a public project that I can discuss
  • [15:33] Chaos Borkotron:  :(
  • [15:34] Maestro Linden: if anybody sees other content like that, and knows it's broken in 1.40 but not in 1.38, let me (or better yet, jira) know
  • [15:34] Rex Cronon: thre is a something that stops physical objects. when somebody selects them:(
  • [15:34] Latif Khalifa: I thought Philip said "we will plan and develop in public", in his strategy statement
  • [15:34] Oskar Linden: long time issue rex
  • [15:34] Kitto Flora: Elevator running o na 'shaft' sticks?? Is that another fin problem?
  • [15:34] Oskar Linden: which strategy statement Latif?
  • [15:34] Rex Cronon: that could be what made the elevator stop
  • [15:34] Latif Khalifa: Oskar, on the blog.... hold on a sec
  • [15:35] Another Hax: there has to abe a line..
  • [15:35] Maestro Linden: hm that's a possibility I suppose, kitto
  • [15:35] Rex Cronon: [3]
  • [15:35] Latif Khalifa: "The shift to shorter cycles with smaller deliverables should allow better community involvement and feedback. We will make our changes, develop code, and discuss plans in the open."
  • [15:35] Latif Khalifa: eyah that one
  • [15:36] Another Hax: lack of 'all'
  • [15:36] Skills Hak: they're still talking about mesh details :x
  • [15:36] Oskar Linden: he said that like last week. :-D
  • [15:36] Oskar Linden: mesh has been private for more than a year
  • [15:36] Skills Hak: i hope it won't get scrapped too
  • [15:37] Rex Cronon: for some reason that blog keeps sending updates even though i set preferences to not get updates
  • [15:37] Latif Khalifa: well let's hope that there will be no more "viewer2" type projects behind closed doors for years :)
  • [15:37] Oskar Linden: +1
  • [15:37] Rex Cronon: why so laggy here?
  • [15:37] Skills Hak: there's BURN 2.0 now
  • [15:37] Oskar Linden: I am always for more open involvement
  • [15:37] Skills Hak: i loled
  • [15:38] Skills Hak: i wonder if that was intentional
  • [15:38] xstorm Radek: there has been simple mesh in SL for years the avatars , ground and some other things are a mesh so stop asking
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: Ovaltine Constantine wins the laggiest scripts award today
  • [15:38] Another Hax: why so many scripted items around a meeting area?..
  • [15:38] Ovaltine Constantine: YAY!
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: Matias is a close 2nd
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: then Donlad
  • [15:38] Another Hax: laughs
  • [15:38] Matias Warcliffe: :P
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: then Moundsa
  • [15:38] Chaos Borkotron: whats the next "big project" to become public?
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: then Marc Adored
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: then Latif
  • [15:38] Oskar Linden: in that order
  • [15:39] Latif Khalifa: haha
  • [15:39] Marc Adored: lol
  • [15:39] Sylvie Grizot: Isn't lag partly a function of your computer spec as well? And your internet connection?
  • [15:39] Oskar Linden: Chaos: probably going to be physics related
  • [15:39] Rex Cronon: i think i could take 1st place if i start shooting:)
  • [15:39] Oskar Linden: Falcon and I put llcastray on aditi 2 weeks ago
  • [15:39] Monty Linden: we're working on localized smell
  • [15:39] Oskar Linden: that is a new and open approach
  • [15:39] Ovaltine Constantine: has been waiting for quite a while for a way to tell if I have laggy scripts without being an estate manager. You gives me that? I gives you less laggy scripts
  • [15:39] xstorm Radek: wish for more scripted items i can do over a 1000 scripted items for you :-)
  • [15:39] Sylvie Grizot: Try V2 Ovaltine-
  • [15:39] Sylvie Grizot: it's in About Land
  • [15:39] Oskar Linden: ok Ovaltine. You are laggy. :-)
  • [15:39] Sylvie Grizot: even on Mainland
  • [15:39] RINOBIT Footman: can I have this tool Oskar? to see who win the "laggiest scripts award"?
  • [15:39] RINOBIT Footman:  :)
  • [15:40] Ovaltine Constantine: V2 shows memory, not time
  • [15:40] Sylvie Grizot: tho only on land you own I think
  • [15:40] Sylvie Grizot: ah right - good point
  • [15:40] Ovaltine Constantine: And not even accurate memory
  • [15:40] RINOBIT Footman: I think it is very useful
  • [15:40] xstorm Radek: he is not there
  • [15:40] RINOBIT Footman:  :)
  • [15:40] Sylvie Grizot: it will be better once Mono/LSL gets sorted?
  • [15:40] Ovaltine Constantine: Oskar what object that I'm wearing is laggiest?
  • [15:40] Oskar Linden: it will all be better in the future
  • [15:40] xstorm Radek: odd
  • [15:40] Ovaltine Constantine: (IS "laggiest" a word?)
  • [15:40] Oskar Linden: gazes down the road wistfully
  • [15:40] Sylvie Grizot: it is now
  • [15:41] Skills Hak: oh do you know when the mono ugprade will happen yet?
  • [15:41] xstorm Radek: Ovaltine to me your not there
  • [15:41] Oskar Linden: no skills I do not
  • [15:41] Skills Hak: and mono rez fix backport
  • [15:41] Skills Hak: aw
  • [15:41] Moundsa Mayo: Any improvement with my Mystitool Idled?
  • [15:41] Marc Adored: so last meeting i attended was about castray but another subject came up about making radars more efficient by adding a function for gettiing avatar uuid's for that region im pretty interested in that :)
  • [15:41] Rex Cronon: it would be pricesless to go to somebody on main grid, and say "why r u so laggy" lol
  • [15:41] xstorm Radek: ok now ya there
  • [15:41] xstorm Radek: that was odd
  • [15:41] Oskar Linden: that's easy Rex
  • [15:41] Oskar Linden: look for anyone with prim hair
  • [15:41] Rex Cronon: how?
  • [15:41] Rex Cronon: lol
  • [15:41] Oskar Linden:  :-)
  • [15:42] Sylvie Grizot: hides her prim hair ;-)
  • [15:42] Marc Adored: i have sexy prim hair so its probably got a high arc
  • [15:42] Skills Hak: you can just use emerald and count scripts
  • [15:42] Skills Hak: [15:39:03
  • [15:42] Rex Cronon: don't u know not all prim hair is created equal? some use only one script to resize:)
  • [15:42] Oskar Linden: is bald under this hoody
  • [15:42] Marc Adored: my hair has no scripts :P
  • [15:42] Sylvie Grizot: mine has no resizer and not much transparent I think
  • [15:42] Donlad Avro: [15:42
  • [15:42] Donlad Avro:  :-)
  • [15:42] Oskar Linden: new ones made with 1,.38's fast lsl script functions should be ok
  • [15:42] Oskar Linden: or more ok
  • [15:43] Sylvie Grizot: "1,.38's fast lsl script functions" ???
  • [15:43] Ovaltine Constantine: Can you tell which object of mine causes the most lag? I'd laugh if it was the rings
  • [15:43] RINOBIT Footman: but the "count script" does not detect the attachment as HUD...
  • [15:43] Rex Cronon: sadly oskar the new resize scripts can't reach their true potential:(
  • [15:43] Oskar Linden: what is their true potential rex?
  • [15:43] Rex Cronon: there is no llgetlinkparametersFAST :(
  • [15:43] Another Hax: counting scripts doesnt tell you how laggy they are..one script could be your prob
  • [15:43] Oskar Linden: well the mother script that sets the prim params should know the prim params right?
  • [15:44] Marc Adored: i think thateither announcing on a negative channel an avatar leaving or coming or a single function to return an avatar list would greatly reduce lag due to sensor heavy scanners that use probs
  • [15:44] Ovaltine Constantine: llGetLinkPrimitiveParams is "Fast" even though it doesn't have "Fast" in the name
  • [15:44] Another Hax: my hud with 70 odd scripts is less laggy than most huds with 10 scripts
  • [15:44] Rex Cronon: llGetLinkPrimitiveParams has 0.2 miliseconds built-in delay:(
  • [15:44] Donlad Avro: One of my HUDs has 50 scripts. :-)
  • [15:45] Simon Linden: cringes thinking about how much data that means for TPs and crossings
  • [15:45] xstorm Radek: inventory retun cap ?
  • [15:45] Rex Cronon: the mother script doesn't have enough mem to hold pos and size of each prim
  • [15:45] Another Hax: only 70 as i havent imp floating text on child prims yet..that'll drop at least 20
  • [15:45] Donlad Avro: I think "Script Count" should definitely including scripts inside of HUDs worn as well.
  • [15:46] Rex Cronon: if there is not enough mem the mother script has to use llGetLinkPrimitiveParams to get links values:(
  • [15:46] Maestro Linden: rex, llGetLinkPrimitiveParams has 0 delay
  • [15:47] Oskar Linden: odelay
  • [15:47] Oskar Linden: hah
  • [15:47] Oskar Linden: sorry
  • [15:47] Maestro Linden: ... i'm pretty sure, at least
  • [15:47] Rex Cronon: not according to this [4]
  • [15:47] Oskar Linden: ruh roh
  • [15:47] Maestro Linden: i'm talking about the link version
  • [15:47] Oskar Linden: rex is calling maestro out!
  • [15:48] Maestro Linden: that's the non-link one :)
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden: maestro fights back
  • [15:48] Marc Adored: here you go rex: list llGetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast( integer link, list params ) { return llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(link, params); }
  • [15:48] Donlad Avro: Oskar makes a great announcer. Who agrees? :-)
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden:  :-D
  • [15:48] Alpha 5: Ready! Type 'bs help' for a list of commands.
  • [15:48] Oskar Linden: that's what we need; a voice font for an announcer
  • [15:48] Marc Adored: i hooked you up :)
  • [15:48] Ima Mechanique: portal says GetLink PrimParams has 0.2 delay
  • [15:49] Oskar Linden: aaaaand in in in in this this this coooooooorner
  • [15:49] Sylvie Grizot: lol
  • [15:49] Ima Mechanique: oops wrong page
  • [15:49] Sylvie Grizot: Guys I'm going to have to go - past bed-time here. Thanks for the answers

  • [15:50] Donlad Avro: snores
  • [15:50] Ima Mechanique: llGetLinkPrimitiveParams has no delay mentioned. Rex the page you linked to isn't the LINK version
  • [15:51] Rex Cronon: got it
  • [15:51] Rex Cronon: thanks:)
  • [15:51] Maestro Linden: default

  • state_entry()
  • {
  • integer count;
  • vector size;
  • for(count=0; count<100; count++)
  • {
  • size=llList2Vector(llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(0,[PRIM_SIZE]),0);]
  • }
  • llOwnerSay((string)llGetTime());
  • }
  • }
  • [15:51] Maestro Linden: for verification :)
  • [15:52] Simon Linden: I checked the code and didn't see any sleep added there
  • [15:52] Latif Khalifa: llGetLinkPrimitiveParams is a new funtion after the delays were declared harmful ;)
  • [15:52] Latif Khalifa: so no delay
  • [15:52] Rex Cronon:  :)
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: simon go ahead and add some sleep in there for rex cronon's avatar id
  • [15:52] Oskar Linden: to match his expectations
  • [15:52] Latif Khalifa: lol
  • [15:52] Ima Mechanique: lol
  • [15:52] Donlad Avro: Sleep does sound good right now.
  • [15:52] Rex Cronon: lol
  • [15:53] Another Hax: not funny.. its good to point out error if you think you see it.. lol
  • [15:53] Oskar Linden: so on an entirely different topic... I bought a house yesterday
  • [15:53] Oskar Linden: I'm kinda excited
  • [15:53] Latif Khalifa: \o/ congrats

  • [15:53] Latif Khalifa: now the banks own you :P
  • [15:53] Oskar Linden: at the sacrifice of all other rooms though :-)
  • [15:53] Donlad Avro: Who needs other rooms?
  • [15:53] Skills Hak: haha
  • [15:53] Alisha Matova: lulz, i just want to poke in before the end of the meeting and thank who ever fixed all the "copy selected" bugs in latest release. Yay! ill have to search for a new pet bug/jira now. =)
  • [15:54] Oskar Linden: the banks owns me and my three brothers. we went in together
  • [15:54] Moon Metty: llGetLinkPrimitiveParams executes 1400 times per second on this server
  • [15:54] Moon Metty: llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(0,[PRIM_SIZE]); i mean
  • [15:54] xstorm Radek: lol
