[2014/06/05 15:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Hi guys
[2014/06/05 15:00] Whirly Fizzle: Heya Maesro
[2014/06/05 15:00] Inara Breen: Hi, Maestro
[2014/06/05 15:00] Rex Cronon: hi maestro
[2014/06/05 15:00] Larre Leborski: Hi Maestro :-)
[2014/06/05 15:00] Lucia Nightfire: I'm on Phoenix mode and its defaulted to true, heh
[2014/06/05 15:01] HumansEnd: Hello Maestro Linden
[2014/06/05 15:01] Lucia Nightfire: so I can guess that won't be a backup item, heh
[2014/06/05 15:01] HumansEnd: Hello Residents
[2014/06/05 15:01] Rex Cronon: hello humansend
[2014/06/05 15:01] Whirly Fizzle: Well, if you switch to a non legacy skin, it *should* revert that debug, but it doesn't and I need to JIRA that lol
[2014/06/05 15:01] HumansEnd: Hello Rex Cronon
[2014/06/05 15:02] Lucia Nightfire: more green beans on that plate
[2014/06/05 15:02] Rex Cronon: lol. r u a terminator that is going to kill all humanity, humansend?
[2014/06/05 15:02] Jenna Felton: hello all
[2014/06/05 15:02] Larre Leborski: Hi jenna.
[2014/06/05 15:02] Rex Cronon: hi jenna
[2014/06/05 15:02] HumansEnd: no, iam just then HumansEnd, Humans will kill theirself, i just watch that nobody survive
[2014/06/05 15:03] Larre Leborski: yep. Was AFK for a moment :-)
[2014/06/05 15:03] Inara Breen: Hi, Jenna, Simon, HumansEnd
[2014/06/05 15:03] HumansEnd: Hi Inara
[2014/06/05 15:03] Simon Linden: Hello everyone
[2014/06/05 15:03] Rex Cronon: hi simon
[2014/06/05 15:03] Whirly Fizzle: Heya Simon
[2014/06/05 15:03] HumansEnd: Hello Simon and everyone
[2014/06/05 15:03] Larre Leborski: Hi Simon.
[2014/06/05 15:03] Kennylex Luckless: Hello HumansEnd
[2014/06/05 15:03] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Let's get started: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Agenda
[2014/06/05 15:04] HumansEnd: Hi Kenny
[2014/06/05 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): We had a rather 'exciting' week in server updates
[2014/06/05 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): or rather, exciting day, yesterday
[2014/06/05 15:04] HumansEnd: therefore, you are a employee
[2014/06/05 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): First, let's go over the scheduled stuff..
[2014/06/05 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): no updates were scheduled for the main channel
[2014/06/05 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and none were scheduled for BlueSteel. BlueSteel stayed on the AISv3 project which has been on RC for a while, now.
[2014/06/05 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): LeTigre briefly got Group Ban yesterday
[2014/06/05 15:05] Whirly Fizzle: Now its gone :(
[2014/06/05 15:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): did any of you get a chance to try it, in its 8 hours or so on RC?
[2014/06/05 15:06] Whirly Fizzle: No
[2014/06/05 15:06] Lucia Nightfire: I'll try it when peopel can't unban themself, heh
[2014/06/05 15:06] Larre Leborski: Nope, not yet.
[2014/06/05 15:07] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): well, that shouldn't be the cause unless they rejoined the group and somehow got promoted to a role which can unban people, Lucia
[2014/06/05 15:07] Whirly Fizzle: This region is still on the most up to date server version for group banz though?
[2014/06/05 15:07] Lucia Nightfire: sorry, I meant rejoin on another region, heh
[2014/06/05 15:07] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes Whirly
[2014/06/05 15:07] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Morris on Aditi still has group ban code active
[2014/06/05 15:08] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Um, and finally, Magnum was on experience tools for a 2nd week, briefly
[2014/06/05 15:08] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): The RC rolls happened at their scheduled times, yesterday morning
[2014/06/05 15:08] Lucia Nightfire: one year, we'll have a full doc on exp tools, heh
[2014/06/05 15:08] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, I've heard that that's in the works, Lucia
[2014/06/05 15:09] Lucia Nightfire: looking forward to it
[2014/06/05 15:09] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): The RC versions were "fine" as far as we know
[2014/06/05 15:09] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): however, there was a bit of panic yesterday afternoon, when we realized that the version of a library that the simulator uses had a potential security issue
[2014/06/05 15:10] Lucia Nightfire: didn't it have it for soem time, heh
[2014/06/05 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): a rather high profile issue was dicovered in 'gnutls'
[2014/06/05 15:10] Zenith Subchair final p: whispers: Hi Yuzuru Jewell! Touch me for Menu. Say /1a to Adjust.
[2014/06/05 15:10] Rex Cronon: it was heartbleeding:)
[2014/06/05 15:10] Jenna Felton: this explains why region restarts hunted me yesterday
[2014/06/05 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-3466
[2014/06/05 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it's used for encryption
[2014/06/05 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): the concern was that a 3rd party site could trigger the issue, which could be triggered by an LSL script doing llHTTPRequest() to an https URL
[2014/06/05 15:12] Lucia Nightfire: sounds familiar, lol
[2014/06/05 15:12] Lucia Nightfire: but probably not what I'm thinking of
[2014/06/05 15:12] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): to keep things slightly more sane, we took the current version of the server code on the main channel, and rebuilt it with the newer version of gnutls
[2014/06/05 15:12] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): (also to keep the update quick..)
[2014/06/05 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): after some quick testing on Aditi, this new build was deployed to all agni channels
[2014/06/05 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): we started at 5PM PDT
[2014/06/05 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and finished at 1:30AM this morning
[2014/06/05 15:14] Lucia Nightfire: this doesn't have anything to do with the recent popularity of http bombing that knocks most if not all people offline in a region?
[2014/06/05 15:14] Rex Cronon: your has been using this defective library 4 a while. u guys sure nobody took advantage of it?
[2014/06/05 15:14] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): since Aditi still had some vulnerable server versions up, we disabled logins for a bit
[2014/06/05 15:14] Whirly Fizzle: Heh I was wondering that too
[2014/06/05 15:14] Rex Cronon: your server has*
[2014/06/05 15:14] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I don't think it's related to that, Lucia
[2014/06/05 15:17] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Anyway, last night's excitement is definitely going to delay server updates a bit
[2014/06/05 15:17] Larre Leborski: indeed, And what happened today with the maintenance that took place? Saw on the status report.
[2014/06/05 15:18] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I expect that next week, we'll have the same set of RCs that went out yesterday morning
[2014/06/05 15:18] Whirly Fizzle: How many jars of coffee did you guys get through y'day? :P
[2014/06/05 15:19] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Enough that I still suffer from a headache, Whirly :P
[2014/06/05 15:19] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Larre, this? http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2014/06/05/post2286/
[2014/06/05 15:19] Larre Leborski: Indeed,
[2014/06/05 15:19] Larre Leborski: yep, thats the one.
[2014/06/05 15:20] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Actually, I don't know what triggered that notice. But our office internet briefly went down, so perhaps that was related.
[2014/06/05 15:20] Larre Leborski: Indeed, Ok.
[2014/06/05 15:20] Kennylex Luckless: Quick question: I height ma and displacement map the same thing and why can SL not have displace maps?
[2014/06/05 15:21] arton Rotaru: displacement map requires highpoly geometry
[2014/06/05 15:22] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Hm, none of the Lindens here are rendering experts
[2014/06/05 15:22] arton Rotaru: it alters the actuall geometry and not just the shading
[2014/06/05 15:22] Kennylex Luckless: I did think height map only simulated the height by covering picels.
[2014/06/05 15:22] Simon Linden: I'm clueless :P
[2014/06/05 15:22] Kennylex Luckless: pixels
[2014/06/05 15:22] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): So I'll defer to Arton. He makes pretty stuff
[2014/06/05 15:22] HumansEnd: they talk bash, not mesh
[2014/06/05 15:23] arton Rotaru: a height map isn't the same as displacment
[2014/06/05 15:23] arton Rotaru: what we have is bump (builtin the viewer)
[2014/06/05 15:23] Kennylex Luckless: I nowI know it is not server limitation but geometry based problem.
[2014/06/05 15:23] arton Rotaru: and tangent space normal maps
[2014/06/05 15:23] arton Rotaru: which should be enough for a game engine
[2014/06/05 15:23] arton Rotaru: well, not enough but hey
[2014/06/05 15:24] Kennylex Luckless: Bump in SL is not compatible with materials
[2014/06/05 15:24] arton Rotaru: true
[2014/06/05 15:24] HumansEnd: this server is lacking the scene updates
[2014/06/05 15:24] arton Rotaru: but there is nothing a bump map can do, which you couldn't with a normals map
[2014/06/05 15:24] HumansEnd: if i move the cam, all prims go weird
[2014/06/05 15:24] Larre Leborski: Indeed yea. I did have a strange problem while I was building yesterday. Something about a texture would "catch" another texture when Basic Shaders was enabled. last night's server roll must have fixed it, since I have not been having anymore trouble with it since.
[2014/06/05 15:25] Kennylex Luckless: Pump and normals is not same
[2014/06/05 15:25] arton Rotaru: true, a normal map can do much more than a bump map
[2014/06/05 15:25] arton Rotaru: so a bump is more or less obsolete
[2014/06/05 15:25] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): That server roll shouldn't have changed rendering at all
[2014/06/05 15:25] Larre Leborski: Indeed.
[2014/06/05 15:26] Kennylex Luckless: And Bump is easier to use and has less load lag if you use AO as difuse and bump
[2014/06/05 15:26] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): in fact, the new version should be functionally identical to https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Server/14#14.06.04.290645 , unless you were trying to exploit gnutls :)
[2014/06/05 15:26] arton Rotaru: bump is oldschool really
[2014/06/05 15:26] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): er, I mean #14.05.09.289913
[2014/06/05 15:26] Larre Leborski: Indeed.
[2014/06/05 15:26] Kennylex Luckless: But still easier to do and kooler to use with a single AO :-)
[2014/06/05 15:27] arton Rotaru: well...
[2014/06/05 15:27] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): speaking of maps, I do think that LSL support for normal and specular maps is functionally complete now
[2014/06/05 15:27] arton Rotaru: with a throttle?
[2014/06/05 15:27] Lucia Nightfire: ^
[2014/06/05 15:27] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): no throttle yet, but I just barely got to finding out what bad stuff happens without one
[2014/06/05 15:28] arton Rotaru: sweet
[2014/06/05 15:28] Whirly Fizzle: How are the prims going weird when you move cam?
[2014/06/05 15:28] Larre Leborski: Indeed.
[2014/06/05 15:28] Jenna Felton: are you planing to make a trottle with silently ignored material calls, or set a delay to them?
[2014/06/05 15:28] Larre Leborski: Just a few. I still have a texture snapshot of it on AGNI.
[2014/06/05 15:28] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): The details on the wiki, about the script calls and where to test, are still correct
[2014/06/05 15:29] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Simon, can you answer Jenna's question?
[2014/06/05 15:29] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I think that if we do a throttle, it will only be to handle quite extreme cases
[2014/06/05 15:30] Larre Leborski: And it does involve the Bump map option there.
[2014/06/05 15:30] Simon Linden: We haven't figured out the best way to throttle it ... because we haven't really seen a problem yet
[2014/06/05 15:30] Simon Linden: but I think most of them fail silently now
[2014/06/05 15:30] Larre Leborski: Indeed.
[2014/06/05 15:30] Simon Linden: So we're likely to do something similar
[2014/06/05 15:30] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): we would want to set up the throttle so that you can't avoid it by adding more scripts
[2014/06/05 15:30] Lucia Nightfire: I didn't see any real hit to server performance when I was setting hundred unique profiles a sec on teh test region
[2014/06/05 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: but cond were ideal, ie no other scripted objects or no agents around
[2014/06/05 15:31] Simon Linden: It tends to create a lot of updates, but that's not different than what other functions will cause
[2014/06/05 15:31] arton Rotaru: yeah, pretty empty regions
[2014/06/05 15:32] HumansEnd: i see a busy linden
[2014/06/05 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: I don't see any more abuse than someone dropping a ton of lolcubes in a region for dozens to render
[2014/06/05 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: or a few megaprim laggers
[2014/06/05 15:33] Simon Linden: yeah, there are plenty of ways to cause more trouble
[2014/06/05 15:33] Latif Khalifa: megaprims don't lag
[2014/06/05 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: megaprim laggers do, heh
[2014/06/05 15:33] Jenna Felton: since i have an application in mind and not planed, and since i know that with materials you can handle the alpha channel of the images now, than the applichation will use matrials, and it is probably possible that there will be changes to up to 256 faces at close time, but i can't guess the traffic good yet
[2014/06/05 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: hell just a few hundred overlapped 65536x65536x0.01 prims can lag you bad, lol
[2014/06/05 15:33] Latif Khalifa: 200 prim hair with 50 unique 512 texture is going to be far more devastating ;)
[2014/06/05 15:34] Whirly Fizzle: Question about https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-5563 . It was said at last weeks meeting this bug had been fixed but sync was still failing up to 2nd June at least. Todays login here my inventory was synced over though - so is it definitely fixed now?
[2014/06/05 15:34] Kennylex Luckless: But best with 65.000 mega proms, if you just has a parcel they cross you can return them even they are in anotherr sim.
[2014/06/05 15:35] Kennylex Luckless: prims'
[2014/06/05 15:35] Lucia Nightfire: Ken 99% of the time peopel affect don't have return rights where they're affected, heh
[2014/06/05 15:36] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Oh, good question Whirly
[2014/06/05 15:36] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, I told Coyot
[2014/06/05 15:36] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): about how last week it was still broken
[2014/06/05 15:36] Whirly Fizzle: I know Aditi was restarted, or whetever they did to it earlier, so Im curious if thats what triggered my sync, rather then the PW change
[2014/06/05 15:36] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): he investigated,a nd found some other issue that was affecting the nightly run but hadn't affected his earlier test
[2014/06/05 15:37] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): he says it should be working now
[2014/06/05 15:37] Whirly Fizzle: Okay cool. Ta
[2014/06/05 15:37] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): He said there were some cases where the password update may have happened but that the inventory update may not have happened. For those cases, he advises changing the password a 2nd time to trigger another run
[2014/06/05 15:37] Whirly Fizzle: Okay
[2014/06/05 15:38] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Nope, simulator restarts on aditi don't affect that script
[2014/06/05 15:38] Jenna Felton: i could not log into aditi right today and had to enter my password again and once logged in, i see i am using the Agni avatar i was using 2 hours ago, so the update script seems working now
[2014/06/05 15:38] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Jenna, yeah, aditi logins were disabled due to that vulnerability
[2014/06/05 15:39] Whirly Fizzle: ahhh
[2014/06/05 15:39] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): we didn't reenable logins until all the sims were updated
[2014/06/05 15:39] Rex Cronon: can't u guys just add a button on the website, so that after login u can just click it and update inventory here?
[2014/06/05 15:39] Jenna Felton: that was 1 minute before meeting. :)
[2014/06/05 15:39] Simon Linden: I have to go for a meeting - thanks everyone for the chat today
[2014/06/05 15:39] Simon Linden: See you next time
[2014/06/05 15:40] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): tc simon
[2014/06/05 15:40] Kennylex Luckless: Btw. When auto return kicks in here the object is not returned to lost and found, why it it sent to the void?
[2014/06/05 15:40] Whirly Fizzle: Ty Simon
[2014/06/05 15:40] Larre Leborski: Tc Simon.
[2014/06/05 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): That seems like it woudl be possible, Rex
[2014/06/05 15:40] Jenna Felton: thank oyu Simon for meeting and answer and have a good weekend
[2014/06/05 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it should go to your lost and found, Kenny.
[2014/06/05 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): unless..
[2014/06/05 15:40] Kennylex Luckless: It do not do so
[2014/06/05 15:40] Rex Cronon: tc simon
[2014/06/05 15:40] Lucia Nightfire: its setup as a combat sandbox in that invisible region setting
[2014/06/05 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it goes to your lost and found, then your inventory is blown away by an update from Agni
[2014/06/05 15:40] Kennylex Luckless: My object I had here was lost again
[2014/06/05 15:40] HumansEnd: if you relog, its there @ kenny
[2014/06/05 15:41] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Kenny: if a region is configured as a sandbox region, rezzed objets don't go to lost and found
[2014/06/05 15:41] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): in Morris?
[2014/06/05 15:41] Whirly Fizzle: Some Linden sandboxes don't return stuff, it just poofs
[2014/06/05 15:41] Kennylex Luckless: No problem, nothing here is made to save .-)
[2014/06/05 15:41] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, there's a warning in the viewer when you first rez something in a sandbox region
[2014/06/05 15:41] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): however I think most users dismiss the warning and forget about that behavior
[2014/06/05 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: Hmmm never seen that tbh
[2014/06/05 15:42] Lucia Nightfire: I wish taht setting existed as a parcel owner selectable option
[2014/06/05 15:42] Lucia Nightfire: *parcel level
[2014/06/05 15:42] Lucia Nightfire: *any estate
[2014/06/05 15:42] Object: Hello, Avatar!
[2014/06/05 15:42] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yep, just checked. Morris is set as a sandbox region
[2014/06/05 15:42] Object: Touched.
[2014/06/05 15:42] Kennylex Luckless: Well, I shall go back ti Natoma now
[2014/06/05 15:42] HumansEnd: i have a scripting problem, may i tell it here or is this the wrong meeting ?
[2014/06/05 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: I don't get a viewer warning o.O
[2014/06/05 15:42] Object: Touched.
[2014/06/05 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: Whirls, its one of those notice things
[2014/06/05 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: tutorial notice
[2014/06/05 15:43] Jenna Felton: here is also a scripting meeting HumansEnd
[2014/06/05 15:43] Whirly Fizzle: Hmmm. You see it on FS?
[2014/06/05 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: idt I've seen it on FS
[2014/06/05 15:43] HumansEnd: hwere, when ?
[2014/06/05 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: I see it on v1 if I lose my settings file...
[2014/06/05 15:43] Jenna Felton: this meeting
[2014/06/05 15:43] Kennylex Luckless: I think Denby on thuesdeys
[2014/06/05 15:43] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): "FirstSandbox" notification
[2014/06/05 15:44] Kennylex Luckless: also
[2014/06/05 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): This is a sandbox area, and is meant to help Residents learn how to build.

Things you build here will be deleted after you leave, so don't forget to right-click and choose 'Take' to move your creation to your Inventory.
[2014/06/05 15:44] Jenna Felton: since the scripting does much with servers
[2014/06/05 15:44] Whirly Fizzle: Huh better check on v3 then. Maybe we have a bug lol
[2014/06/05 15:44]  And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): &aposOK;
[2014/06/05 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I believe the sandbox flag is set on most of the major Sandbox regions on mainland
[2014/06/05 15:45] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): whispers: :P
[2014/06/05 15:45] Whirly Fizzle: Irs on here right? So I should have a warning here?
[2014/06/05 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): yeah
[2014/06/05 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): though since it's called "FirstSandbox", maybe it only happens the very first time?
[2014/06/05 15:45] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): /me suspects maestro is on a mac
[2014/06/05 15:45] arton Rotaru: hm, I never noticed that message
[2014/06/05 15:45] Larre Leborski: Indeed. The only real scripting that I have ever done was basic prim manipulation and texture animations. Particles as well.
[2014/06/05 15:45] Whirly Fizzle: Dragging alt in on V3
[2014/06/05 15:45] Whirly Fizzle: On clean settings
[2014/06/05 15:45] Kennylex Luckless: HumansEnd is a great scripter and can sure test the cap limits :-)
[2014/06/05 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: you get tutorial notices for first sandbox, first script, first sculpt
[2014/06/05 15:46] Latif Khalifa: Yeah, I get a notice like; http://i.imgur.com/4CL1Hqw.png
[2014/06/05 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: afaik
[2014/06/05 15:46] Rex Cronon: i think u can trun off those notices
[2014/06/05 15:46] Latif Khalifa: not this one
[2014/06/05 15:46] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yeah, most people do
[2014/06/05 15:46] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): well
[2014/06/05 15:46] Latif Khalifa: happens on rez from inv
[2014/06/05 15:46] HumansEnd: ty kenny
[2014/06/05 15:46] Latif Khalifa: on a sandbox region
[2014/06/05 15:46] 中毒 (kippy.adored): No warning on Second Life 3.7.9 (290405) May 29 2014 15:30:19 (Second Life Release)
[2014/06/05 15:47] Larre Leborski: Sandboxes are uncommon :-)
[2014/06/05 15:47] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): oh, well maybe that's beacuse it only happens once, that there's "don't show me again" option
[2014/06/05 15:47] Kennylex Luckless: take care and have fun, I go back to Natoma now.
[2014/06/05 15:47] Jenna Felton: take care Kenny :)
[2014/06/05 15:47] Larre Leborski: tc kenny.
[2014/06/05 15:47] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): have fun
[2014/06/05 15:47] HumansEnd: see laterz
[2014/06/05 15:47] Lucia Nightfire: if you delete your settings file it should come back
[2014/06/05 15:47] 中毒 (kippy.adored): I have no notifications supressed
[2014/06/05 15:47] 中毒 (kippy.adored): I did
[2014/06/05 15:47] Lucia Nightfire: at least on v1 it does afaik
[2014/06/05 15:47] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Clean settings
[2014/06/05 15:47] Latif Khalifa: did you rez something from inv?
[2014/06/05 15:48] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Both - from inv and rezzed fresh cube
[2014/06/05 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: try a sculpt
[2014/06/05 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: set to sculpt
[2014/06/05 15:48] Latif Khalifa: your viewer is broken than :P
[2014/06/05 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: idt I've ever seen those in v3
[2014/06/05 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: ever
[2014/06/05 15:48] 中毒 (kippy.adored): I swear I havnt
[2014/06/05 15:48] 中毒 (kippy.adored): I remember then on 1.23/Phoenix though
[2014/06/05 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: they're annoying as hell
[2014/06/05 15:48] Latif Khalifa: V3 is considered harmful :P
[2014/06/05 15:49] 中毒 (kippy.adored): hehe
[2014/06/05 15:49] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): lol
[2014/06/05 15:49] Larre Leborski: But yea, Currently also in AGNI building a funhouse for SL11B. That's is where I encountered the weird texture problem that has seem to magically resolved itself :-)
[2014/06/05 15:49] HumansEnd: LL did fix a thing as "bug" which is expected behavior
[2014/06/05 15:49] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Hmm Ill check on 1.23 later & again on wiped settings & Ill JIRA it if it happens on 1.23 & not v3
[2014/06/05 15:49] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): LL fixing bugs is expected behavior? :o
[2014/06/05 15:49] HumansEnd: no
[2014/06/05 15:49] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): LOL
[2014/06/05 15:49] Latif Khalifa: not always :P
[2014/06/05 15:50] HumansEnd: LL did stop to tell LSL Script payments about 0L$
[2014/06/05 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: lol, that again
[2014/06/05 15:50] HumansEnd: for 3 years ago
[2014/06/05 15:50] HumansEnd: and now, i need it
[2014/06/05 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: there was a grief vector there
[2014/06/05 15:51] HumansEnd: there is always a grief somewhere, even in chat..... and LL dont want to close the chat as "bug"
[2014/06/05 15:51] Latif Khalifa: actually an exploit for stealiing L$
[2014/06/05 15:51] Latif Khalifa: HumansEnd, you can cheat vendors into giving you free products with this bug
[2014/06/05 15:52] Latif Khalifa: it's not a mere "grief"
[2014/06/05 15:52] HumansEnd: you cant cheat a script, you can only cheat the programmer of the script
[2014/06/05 15:52] Whirly Fizzle: OOOh yeah, I remember that one. It was pretty bad.
[2014/06/05 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: some would call exploiting griefing dpending on the loss, heh
[2014/06/05 15:52] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): /me removes chat functions; marks all unresolved chat related Jiras as closed
[2014/06/05 15:52] Latif Khalifa: HumandsEnd, sure you can. You can hit a throttle after which sim stops informing scripts
[2014/06/05 15:53] Whirly Fizzle: /me deletes your JIRA account :P
[2014/06/05 15:53] Latif Khalifa: so your vendor non-the-viser gives you an item even though merchant payment failed
[2014/06/05 15:53] HumansEnd: pfff, i have 200 other jira accounts
[2014/06/05 15:53] Lucia Nightfire: its also why if scripted touch comes out, I hope its setup correctly, heh
[2014/06/05 15:53] HumansEnd: i see latif
[2014/06/05 15:54] Rex Cronon: i got disconected
[2014/06/05 15:54] Rex Cronon: :(
[2014/06/05 15:54] HumansEnd: at least, latif was the only one to answer my serious question in a serious way
[2014/06/05 15:54] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): stbu
[2014/06/05 15:54] Lucia Nightfire: dat Rex connection
[2014/06/05 15:54] HumansEnd: ty
[2014/06/05 15:54] Lucia Nightfire: upgrade your XP
[2014/06/05 15:55] Larre Leborski: /me still has Windows Vista going on :-)
[2014/06/05 15:55] Rex Cronon: very funny. haha
[2014/06/05 15:55] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): /me still has windows 8.1 update 1 going on
[2014/06/05 15:56] Larre Leborski: Indeed.
[2014/06/05 15:57] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Ahhha! 12.23 has the warning
[2014/06/05 15:57] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): o0
[2014/06/05 15:57] 中毒 (kippy.adored): OMG but everythings broken.
[2014/06/05 15:57] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): 12.23?
[2014/06/05 15:57] arton Rotaru: lol
[2014/06/05 15:57] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): is that a viewer version, Whirly?
[2014/06/05 15:57] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Sorry If Im nakkie, dsont think my alpha will render heh
[2014/06/05 15:57] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): built on 2013.12.23?
[2014/06/05 15:57] Latif Khalifa: Try something newer, like Replex :P http://files.streamgrid.net/replex/
[2014/06/05 15:57] arton Rotaru: you are nakkie for me too^^
[2014/06/05 15:57] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Its the old LL V1 viewer mestro
[2014/06/05 15:58] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): oh, she means 1.23
[2014/06/05 15:58] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): ah.
[2014/06/05 15:58] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Looky http://i.imgur.com/1i4Kwv3.png
[2014/06/05 15:58] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): that's the one!
[2014/06/05 15:59] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): pressing the OK button in that pic doesnt get rid of the message
[2014/06/05 15:59] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): /me files a bug report
[2014/06/05 15:59] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): how or why that no longer appears in recent viewers, I'm not sure.
[2014/06/05 15:59] 中毒 (kippy.adored): Also, ZOMGGG broken http://i.imgur.com/hJGXwzn.png
[2014/06/05 15:59] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): but it does exist in notifications.xml
[2014/06/05 15:59] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lol yeah, it's rather painful to go back to 1.23
[2014/06/05 15:59] Latif Khalifa: you should not be able to dismiss that one permanently
[2014/06/05 15:59] Whirly Fizzle: Ill JIRA it
[2014/06/05 15:59] Larre Leborski: Indeed.. I use the Singularity viewer much of the time. Closest I can find to the 1.23 viewer with all the good stuff :-)
[2014/06/05 15:59] Lucia Nightfire: you should see fitted mesh in v1, heh
[2014/06/05 15:59] Lucia Nightfire: or rather, Phoenix
[2014/06/05 15:59] Lucia Nightfire: so annoying
[2014/06/05 16:00] Lucia Nightfire: stretching covering the whole region, lol
[2014/06/05 16:00] Whirly Fizzle: 1.23, no mesh, no alphas, no multiple layers, no multiattach, no server bake
[2014/06/05 16:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): no materials
[2014/06/05 16:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): no shadws
[2014/06/05 16:00] HumansEnd: no lag
[2014/06/05 16:00] Whirly Fizzle: Crap, Kippy is nakkie too hahaha - on my viewer
[2014/06/05 16:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): no deferred
[2014/06/05 16:00] Latif Khalifa: There are serveral up-to-date viewers with working (V1) interface with everything
[2014/06/05 16:00] Whirly Fizzle: Sorry :D
[2014/06/05 16:01] Lucia Nightfire: Phoenix renders alpha masking correctly on prims though, which surprised me
[2014/06/05 16:01] Larre Leborski: And the good thing is, No one is Nakkie on my viewer :-)
[2014/06/05 16:01] Jenna Felton: I think a icon in the top bar would be usefull that warns the user about the region being sanbox
[2014/06/05 16:01] Latif Khalifa: which viewer renders people nekkid?
[2014/06/05 16:01] Whirly Fizzle: 1.23 lol
[2014/06/05 16:01] Lucia Nightfire: theres no working v1 viewer that has texture uploader data in teh inspection window other than Phoenix
[2014/06/05 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): is that a bug or a feature?
[2014/06/05 16:02] Larre Leborski: Original 1.23 without all the perks that Singularity has out into it.
[2014/06/05 16:02] Whirly Fizzle: WEll....
[2014/06/05 16:02] arton Rotaru: feature for sure
[2014/06/05 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): may depend on the skin
[2014/06/05 16:02] Rex Cronon: viewing people naked is a bug? lol
[2014/06/05 16:02] HumansEnd: i go developing a upToDate nakidViwer and make money like hell, see laterz all, have a good day
[2014/06/05 16:02] Latif Khalifa: Lucia, that thinking got that viewer banned
[2014/06/05 16:02] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): you mean all the perks singularity took from phoenix :P
[2014/06/05 16:02] Jenna Felton: that depends who you ask Maestro, the observers will say its feature :)
[2014/06/05 16:02] Rex Cronon: tc humansend
[2014/06/05 16:02] Lucia Nightfire: how? you have that in v3 for attached textures, lol
[2014/06/05 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Oh, we're actually out of time
[2014/06/05 16:02] Larre Leborski: Perhaps :-)
[2014/06/05 16:03] Whirly Fizzle: I dod remember on 1.23/emerald/Phoe, before SSA anyway, you could make a change (I think it was just xml actually, forgot now) to render everyone nakkie - no clothing layers. That one was popular for a while
[2014/06/05 16:03] Lucia Nightfire: just not attached prims or rezzed prims
[2014/06/05 16:03] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): have a good weekend, maestro
[2014/06/05 16:03] Latif Khalifa: have a great time HumandsEnd
[2014/06/05 16:03] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Thanks for coming, everybody!
[2014/06/05 16:03] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you, Maestro.
[2014/06/05 16:03] Whirly Fizzle: Ty Maestro
[2014/06/05 16:03] Larre Leborski: Ok, Thanks so much Maestro for explaining a lot of what happened last night.
[2014/06/05 16:03] Rex Cronon: until i switched from v1.23 it was kind of weird of seeing whilry naked all the time here:)
[2014/06/05 16:03] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Sure thing
[2014/06/05 16:04] arton Rotaru: thx guys
[2014/06/05 16:04] Larre Leborski: See ya next time :-)
