[2014/08/28 15:02] Jenna Felton: hi Maestro
[2014/08/28 15:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Hi guys
[2014/08/28 15:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Login just broke on aditi
[2014/08/28 15:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Let's wait for it to be fixed..
[2014/08/28 15:02] Whirly Fizzle: As far as I know, the method they are using on the CDN regions now isn't going to scale well, so eventually there will be viewer changes needed. But you can test CDN currently on any viewer
[2014/08/28 15:02] Duckie Dickins: someone spill their coffee and aditi broke?
[2014/08/28 15:02] Rex Cronon: hi maestro
[2014/08/28 15:02] Whirly Fizzle: Heya Maestro
[2014/08/28 15:03] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yep
[2014/08/28 15:04] Whirly Fizzle: Oh and yay! newview/llstartup.cpp(4062) : 2014-08-28T21:50:10Z INFO: process_login_success_response: map-server-url : we got an answer from the grid : http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/
[2014/08/28 15:04] Rex Cronon: ?
[2014/08/28 15:05] Nal (nalates.urriah): Hi all. That was a difficult login.
[2014/08/28 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): you can preview the agenda now: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Updates
[2014/08/28 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): you just got in, Nal?
[2014/08/28 15:05] Rex Cronon: hi nal
[2014/08/28 15:06] Duckie Dickins: maestro broke it
[2014/08/28 15:06] Nal (nalates.urriah): Yes, I was geting login fail in FS and SL Viewer
[2014/08/28 15:06] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Lucia.
[2014/08/28 15:06] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Jenna, Whirly, Rex.
[2014/08/28 15:07] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Maestro and Caleb.
[2014/08/28 15:07] Jenna Felton: hi Nal, Yuzuru and Caleb
[2014/08/28 15:07] Rex Cronon: hi yuzuru
[2014/08/28 15:07] Caleb Linden: hiya
[2014/08/28 15:07] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Kennylex and Duckie.
[2014/08/28 15:07] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Apparently there was a network hiccup just before 3pm
[2014/08/28 15:07] Rex Cronon: hi caleb
[2014/08/28 15:07] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Which broke login for a few minutes, but we seem to be back now in order now.
[2014/08/28 15:08] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Oz. I can login aditi!
[2014/08/28 15:08] Oz Linden: that's good....
[2014/08/28 15:08] Kennylex Luckless: I did get strange texture bugs not long ago today, https://my.secondlife.com/kennylex.luckless/snapshots/53ff4e40f8a1ec08f1000001

[2014/08/28 15:08] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Neat
[2014/08/28 15:08] Zenith Subchair final p: whispers: Hi Inara Breen! Touch me for Menu. Say /1a to Adjust.
[2014/08/28 15:09] Whirly Fizzle: hahaha
[2014/08/28 15:09] Inara Breen: Hi folks. anyway else have trouble logging-in?
[2014/08/28 15:09] Lucia Nightfire: everyone did
[2014/08/28 15:10] Rex Cronon: u see naked people kennylex:)
[2014/08/28 15:10] Kennylex Luckless: Yes... and very bad things small wolf do not like to see.
[2014/08/28 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Okay.. I think we have quorum now..
[2014/08/28 15:10] Rex Cronon: if u were late, then see what was discussed before u got here: http://rcds.nfshost.com/ques_view_chatLog.php?queOwner=llsl%3ARex+Cronon&queName=chatLog&pg=1
[2014/08/28 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): welcome to SBUG!
[2014/08/28 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): This week's agenda has 2 parts:
[2014/08/28 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): 1) normal server updates stuff
[2014/08/28 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): 2) new shiny on aditi
[2014/08/28 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Agenda
[2014/08/28 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): First, the regular updates..
[2014/08/28 15:12] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): the main channel got the maintenance project that was previously on all three RC channels
[2014/08/28 15:12] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): which just had a hotfix for a crash mode
[2014/08/28 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): The crash mode was reported by Whirly
[2014/08/28 15:13] Whirly Fizzle: o.O
[2014/08/28 15:13] Whirly Fizzle: The skill game one?
[2014/08/28 15:13] Lucia Nightfire: that one thing
[2014/08/28 15:13] Lucia Nightfire: lol
[2014/08/28 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): yep, SEC-1458
[2014/08/28 15:13] Duckie Dickins: yes and simon still didn't want to talk about the crash mode because it wasn't fixed entirely...or something like that
[2014/08/28 15:13] Whirly Fizzle: Haha that was fun
[2014/08/28 15:13] Whirly Fizzle: err I mean... terrible bug......
[2014/08/28 15:13] Lucia Nightfire: I missed the horrible fun
[2014/08/28 15:14] Whirly Fizzle: You were offline :P
[2014/08/28 15:14] Lucia Nightfire: I KNOW
[2014/08/28 15:14] Whirly Fizzle: Or actually I probably would have accidentally hit you with that trying to see if you could access that region heh
[2014/08/28 15:14] Lucia Nightfire: I would only know after I relogged
[2014/08/28 15:15] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Anyway, it's fixed grid-wide on Agni. Though I see that aditi main channel needs to be updated!
[2014/08/28 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: whats the region on Aditi, heh
[2014/08/28 15:15] Whirly Fizzle: LOL you beat me.....
[2014/08/28 15:16] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Meanwhile, the RC channels got a new maintenance project
[2014/08/28 15:16] Lucia Nightfire: heh
[2014/08/28 15:16] Inara Breen: Any details on what the problem was, now it's fixed or is that still a silly question? :)
[2014/08/28 15:17] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Basically, if you sent somebody a TP offer, you could crash their region
[2014/08/28 15:17] Lucia Nightfire: FTW
[2014/08/28 15:17] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): under certain circumstances :)
[2014/08/28 15:17] Rex Cronon: somebody used an OR instead of an AND;)
[2014/08/28 15:17] Inara Breen: Just on skill Gaming regions?
[2014/08/28 15:17] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I'm sure it was fun to discover
[2014/08/28 15:17] Lucia Nightfire: it probably wouldn't have crashed me as I can access skill gaming regions
[2014/08/28 15:18] Whirly Fizzle: I had great fun :D
[2014/08/28 15:18] Duckie Dickins: like...on wednesdays in months that start with A on even hours of the day.
[2014/08/28 15:18] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, Inara
[2014/08/28 15:18] Inara Breen: Sounds like a skill game in itself.
[2014/08/28 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: instead of a payout theres a payoff
[2014/08/28 15:19] Duckie Dickins: I thought group chat was the skill game. :)
[2014/08/28 15:19] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Group chat seems like it's up to chance, sometimes
[2014/08/28 15:19] Duckie Dickins: if you manage to get into group chat...winner winner chicken dinner
[2014/08/28 15:19] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Anyway, that was the only change for the main channel
[2014/08/28 15:20] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): The RCs got a new maintenance project, which fixes some crash modes, and two other miscellaneous bugs
[2014/08/28 15:20] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): these two: SVC-2262, BUG-6466
[2014/08/28 15:20] Duckie Dickins: so gaming sims are ready for the september date now.
[2014/08/28 15:20] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): (we went over those two last week)
[2014/08/28 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Second_Life_Skill_Gaming_Approved_Participants#Approved_Skill_Gaming_Operators
[2014/08/28 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: finally soem regions listed
[2014/08/28 15:21] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, there are now some on the list. I don't know when those will be fully available, though
[2014/08/28 15:22] Duckie Dickins: ooo.. SLSGO last names
[2014/08/28 15:22] Inara Breen: Those were still awaiting update to SG regions last time I visited (last Friday)
[2014/08/28 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: AZ seems to be taking time getting onboard
[2014/08/28 15:22] Whirly Fizzle: Why was the RC roll postponed a day?
[2014/08/28 15:23] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Oh good question!
[2014/08/28 15:23] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): the RC roll was supposed to happen on Wednesday morning, as usual
[2014/08/28 15:23] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): but the sim deployment tool had problems
[2014/08/28 15:24] Kennylex Luckless: But donuts and coffee pauses...
[2014/08/28 15:24] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): So we rescheduled for Thursday, while the release team investigated the problem
[2014/08/28 15:24] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and they figured it out later Wednesday afternoon
[2014/08/28 15:25] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and fixed the problem for Thursday
[2014/08/28 15:25] Duckie Dickins: it's code for the caffeine machine was out of order so the engineers went home early..... caffeine or GTFO
[2014/08/28 15:25] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): those rolls happen awfully early, after all!
[2014/08/28 15:25] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): anyway, the delay had nothing to do with the RC code itself
[2014/08/28 15:26] Kennylex Luckless: Better late than bad coded.
[2014/08/28 15:26] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): or just stopping all the RC regions, *then* failing to start them up :)
[2014/08/28 15:27] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): that's all I have for server updates - are there any questions?
[2014/08/28 15:28] Rex Cronon: there seems to be a small problem with scanners that r not attached
[2014/08/28 15:28] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): LSL sensors?
[2014/08/28 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: jira number?
[2014/08/28 15:28] Rex Cronon: unless scanners r attached they can't detect some objects
[2014/08/28 15:28] Rex Cronon: yes
[2014/08/28 15:28] Rex Cronon: no jira
[2014/08/28 15:28] Rex Cronon: its related to what kito was talking about on tuesday
[2014/08/28 15:29] Oz Linden: /me has to go...
[2014/08/28 15:29] Oz Linden: bye all
[2014/08/28 15:29] Rex Cronon: tc oz
[2014/08/28 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: got a repro object?
[2014/08/28 15:30] Rex Cronon: take an object scanner and try to detect objects sent by a sim scanner
[2014/08/28 15:30] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Bye Oz
[2014/08/28 15:30] Kennylex Luckless: I need to run too, main grid is calling.
[2014/08/28 15:30] Rex Cronon: tc kennylex
[2014/08/28 15:30] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and Kenny
[2014/08/28 15:30] Lucia Nightfire: kenny needs to tell me how he attached that ghost ot my avatar
[2014/08/28 15:30] Lucia Nightfire: cuase that looked like an exploit, lol
[2014/08/28 15:31] Rex Cronon: u gave him permisson
[2014/08/28 15:31] Jenna Felton: i dont see any, Lucia
[2014/08/28 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: no I didn't, heh
[2014/08/28 15:31] Rex Cronon: when u went to play a game
[2014/08/28 15:31] Whirly Fizzle: Oh I didn't notice. I just saw his purple pet thing
[2014/08/28 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: you didn't see him attach it to me when I logged in here?
[2014/08/28 15:31] Rex Cronon: i wasn't looking
[2014/08/28 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: he had one on, then I had one on
[2014/08/28 15:31] Jenna Felton: no, it was one attached to me :)
[2014/08/28 15:31] Jenna Felton: unless it was another one
[2014/08/28 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: I moved and rotated and it did the same and was attached
[2014/08/28 15:32] Jenna Felton: hm, ok
[2014/08/28 15:32] Whirly Fizzle: Huh
[2014/08/28 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: unless I saw yours Jenna, heh
[2014/08/28 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: you were kind of close to me
[2014/08/28 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: /me sort of breathe's a sigh of relif, heh
[2014/08/28 15:32] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): strange
[2014/08/28 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: *relief
[2014/08/28 15:32] Rex Cronon: there is lot of potential there. imagine some human member attached to somebody face:)
[2014/08/28 15:32] Jenna Felton: can be also an accidental synchronous move
[2014/08/28 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: next topic, sorry
[2014/08/28 15:33] Duckie Dickins: yes..bring on the shinies!
[2014/08/28 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: pfft
[2014/08/28 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: maybe next year
[2014/08/28 15:34] Jenna Felton: i want it all, i want it now :)
[2014/08/28 15:34] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Speaking of shinies
[2014/08/28 15:34] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Aditi has a new shiny today
[2014/08/28 15:34] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Map_Tile_Fetching
[2014/08/28 15:35] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Along the same vein as last week's talk about using the CDN for meshes and textures,
[2014/08/28 15:35] Jenna Felton: /me opens the map
[2014/08/28 15:35] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): we're also looking at using the CDN for map tile images on the world map
[2014/08/28 15:35] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it's live on aditi now
[2014/08/28 15:35] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): grid-wide
[2014/08/28 15:35] Rex Cronon: and regarding the lsl sensor not being able to detect some objects. even when sensor is attached it can't detect the uuid of object nor of owner because the object is dead, out of range, or out of sim:(
[2014/08/28 15:36] Rex Cronon: the only way to get that ifo is if u use an collision detector attached to you.
[2014/08/28 15:36] Rex Cronon: that info*
[2014/08/28 15:36] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Anyway, aditi doesn't have much of a 'load test' for map tiles, since there aren't too many, but you can tell that it works at a basic level
[2014/08/28 15:37] Lucia Nightfire: trying that on agni, looks like the same rate for loading
[2014/08/28 15:37] Lucia Nightfire: when was that activated?
[2014/08/28 15:37] Whirly Fizzle: Seems fine here
[2014/08/28 15:37] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Rex: if you know the object's uuid, you could just use llGetObjectDetails() to learn all kinds of stuff. It's more reliable than using an LSL sensor, since you don't have to worry about whether the object is active or passive, and there's no range limit (so long as it's in the same sim).
[2014/08/28 15:37] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lucia.. about an hour ago
[2014/08/28 15:38] Lucia Nightfire: is a relog required?
[2014/08/28 15:38] Jenna Felton: the most sims are shown as "unknown", the others may show faster their pictures, but it can be a subjective feeling
[2014/08/28 15:38] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, the viewer gets the map images base URL from the login server, like this:
[2014/08/28 15:38] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): INFO: process_login_success_response: map-server-url : we got an answer from the grid : http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/
[2014/08/28 15:38] Rex Cronon: how do u get its uuid if u can't select it?
[2014/08/28 15:38] Duckie Dickins: I thought it was only on aditi and not agni
[2014/08/28 15:39] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): you can check your secondlife.log to see if you're using that or the "old" URL (which is amazon S3)
[2014/08/28 15:39] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): It's only on Aditi
[2014/08/28 15:39] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): for now
[2014/08/28 15:39] Lucia Nightfire: sensors simply shouldn't be bound to the rotation and position of the host prim, you should be able to specify a starting rot and pos https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-4329
[2014/08/28 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Map tile loading is a bit different than regular texture asset loading, as the viewer is downloading a bunch of .jpg files from a regular webserver
[2014/08/28 15:40] Jenna Felton: speaking about CDN, is it possible to use that service for sounds too, i mean those sound files that the viewer has to load when a device starts llPlaySound :) that would improve many devices
[2014/08/28 15:40] Rex Cronon: and animations
[2014/08/28 15:40] Duckie Dickins: sensor rotation should be based on the direction your avatar is facing when the script is attached.
[2014/08/28 15:40] Jenna Felton: /me nods
[2014/08/28 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: animations aren't taht huge
[2014/08/28 15:41] Duckie Dickins: well not your avatar but your avatar's agent
[2014/08/28 15:41] Whirly Fizzle: Hmm can't see the image in a web browser http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/map-5-1024-1008-objects.jpg
[2014/08/28 15:41] Nal (nalates.urriah): Still dance animations at clubs can take several second to download and start playing.
[2014/08/28 15:42] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Jenna, it would be possible, but we'd need an interface for HTTP fetching of sound assets first
[2014/08/28 15:42] Jenna Felton: ahh
[2014/08/28 15:42] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/map-1-997-1001-objects.jpg Here's aditi/morris
[2014/08/28 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: Hmm mine spits an error
[2014/08/28 15:42] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Whirly: it's a 404 because that region is offline on Aditi
[2014/08/28 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: Oh!
[2014/08/28 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: serp
[2014/08/28 15:42] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Beaumont
[2014/08/28 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: derp
[2014/08/28 15:43] Whirly Fizzle: lol
[2014/08/28 15:43] Jenna Felton: that makes sence, and i hope it will be one of next shiny for us :)
[2014/08/28 15:43] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Aditi doesn't have too many regions up, so there's no exciting load test to do with a regular viewer
[2014/08/28 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): but for what it's worth, I do see much lower latency when fetching map tiles from the CDN than from Amazon S3
[2014/08/28 15:44] Whirly Fizzle: Hmm the 1 aqnd the 5 in those links, is that the zoom level ?
[2014/08/28 15:44] Whirly Fizzle: *and
[2014/08/28 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): (from my home, about 15ms vs 30-42ms, round trip)
[2014/08/28 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): yes, 1 is the zoom level
[2014/08/28 15:45] Jenna Felton: only the 1 works
[2014/08/28 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): however, the zoom level image only works for 'even' numbers
[2014/08/28 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): so for level 2, it's http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/map-2-996-1000-objects.jpg
[2014/08/28 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): (the morris is in the northeast)
[2014/08/28 15:45] Lucia Nightfire: whats the syntax for no objects, heh
[2014/08/28 15:46] Jenna Felton: i tried 2 and got the 404 error, strange
[2014/08/28 15:46] Jenna Felton: ah, 996 :)
[2014/08/28 15:46] Whirly Fizzle: Hmm 3 works fine too http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/map-3-996-1000-objects.jpg
[2014/08/28 15:46] Jenna Felton: i took http://maps-cdn.dev.lindenlab.com/aditi/map-1-997-1001-objects.jpg and started replacing 1 by higher numbers
[2014/08/28 15:46] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): yeah, because 996 and 1000 are divisible by 4
[2014/08/28 15:46] Whirly Fizzle: Oh right
[2014/08/28 15:47] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): then for 3, they'd have to be divisible by 8.. etc  :)
[2014/08/28 15:47] Jenna Felton: i see
[2014/08/28 15:47] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I'm not sure that the no-objects images are uploaded to that site, Lucia..
[2014/08/28 15:48] Duckie Dickins: how often are the map images updated?
[2014/08/28 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: should be every 3 out of 4 days iirc
[2014/08/28 15:50] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lucia, aren't you one of those people who has a running binary clock on their parcel in giant blocks? :)
[2014/08/28 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: I used to when I was paying for a full region, heh
[2014/08/28 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: a few peopel bought that product though
[2014/08/28 15:51] Lucia Nightfire: one of them the heart map tile guy
[2014/08/28 15:51] Lucia Nightfire: look at Nautilius
[2014/08/28 15:51] Margithe: /me groans at the heart map guy
[2014/08/28 15:51] Duckie Dickins: hate that guy...he's my neighbor
[2014/08/28 15:51] Lucia Nightfire: lol
[2014/08/28 15:51] Whirly Fizzle: I like the map hearts :D
[2014/08/28 15:51] Rex Cronon: "map-1-997-1001-objects.jpg " so what do each set of numbers represent? first one "2" is the lvl. how about the others??
[2014/08/28 15:51] Duckie Dickins: or at least one of his sims is. :)
[2014/08/28 15:51] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): there's some delay in how quickly images update, but they should update daily or so
[2014/08/28 15:52] Duckie Dickins: if you enter one of the heart map sims without the group title you get promply ejected....aweful for flying and boating
[2014/08/28 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: I designed the curves on those hearts btw
[2014/08/28 15:52] Margithe: /me throws mud at Lucia
[2014/08/28 15:52] Whirly Fizzle: lol
[2014/08/28 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: cause I was tired at looking at his three point cylinder prim curves he was using
[2014/08/28 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: cylinders don't capture good for map images
[2014/08/28 15:53] Lucia Nightfire: because it captures at 0 LOD
[2014/08/28 15:53] Margithe: Well, that guy is the blight of mainland
[2014/08/28 15:53] Lucia Nightfire: so it you use multiple increasing path cuts you can bypass taht
[2014/08/28 15:53] Lucia Nightfire: but not with cylinders
[2014/08/28 15:54] Lucia Nightfire: you'd have to use torii
[2014/08/28 15:54] Lucia Nightfire: or rings or tubes
[2014/08/28 15:54] Margithe: you don't even know what the land curvature underneath looks like. Nothing. it's like nothingness swallowing fantasia
[2014/08/28 15:54] Duckie Dickins: so any more shines slated on the to-do list after CDNs come into play?
[2014/08/28 15:55] Lucia Nightfire: sim surrounds mess up map tiles too
[2014/08/28 15:55] Whirly Fizzle: Yeah
[2014/08/28 15:55] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I don't know of anything coming immediately aside from this CDN stuff, Duckie
[2014/08/28 15:55] Duckie Dickins: like the sound pitch LSL stuff we keep talking about. :D
[2014/08/28 15:55] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Map_API_Introduction << in case any of you want to play with the map some more
[2014/08/28 15:55] Lucia Nightfire: WOT FTW
[2014/08/28 15:56] Nal (nalates.urriah): Thx
[2014/08/28 15:56] Whirly Fizzle: Look at "Veil of Shadows" region here. Thats ugly fugly map tile because of the sim surround.
[2014/08/28 15:56] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yeah, sculpties unfortunately get rendered as hexagons
[2014/08/28 15:57] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and if they're huge, they get cropped to just cover the whole region.
[2014/08/28 15:57] Margithe: who needs the map anyways, now that it's being swallowed by ugly hearts :(
[2014/08/28 15:57] Rex Cronon: can the map show only the land without objects?
[2014/08/28 15:57] Duckie Dickins: don't forget the FOR RENT signs too. :)
[2014/08/28 15:57] Lucia Nightfire: yes Rex
[2014/08/28 15:58] Lucia Nightfire: you need a legacy viewer to do it though, lol
[2014/08/28 15:58] Rex Cronon: i mean using CDN
[2014/08/28 15:58] Whirly Fizzle: But you can be inventive! Like roller-test18 :P
[2014/08/28 15:58] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): So the "no objects" images wouldn't be on S3 or the CDN
[2014/08/28 15:59] Margithe: i'd love to have a map without specific blacklisted objects, by object or owner.
[2014/08/28 15:59] Lucia Nightfire: lol
[2014/08/28 15:59] Rex Cronon: it would be more useful to have 1 map without objects and another with objects only
[2014/08/28 16:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Okay, we're just about out of time... any last minute questions or comments?
[2014/08/28 16:00] Lucia Nightfire: use grid survey then
[2014/08/28 16:00] Lucia Nightfire: can I have my BUG feature requests changed to feature request types and reevaled? heh
[2014/08/28 16:00] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): About CDN test, Whom should I report about it?
[2014/08/28 16:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): (I'm not sure when this map tile thing will go to agni; I think it's a matter of the ops team setting up an agni-pointing CDN)
[2014/08/28 16:01] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Ah, about the test regions, Yuzuru?
[2014/08/28 16:01] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): you can tell me
[2014/08/28 16:01] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and I'll note it in the Jira
[2014/08/28 16:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): yes
[2014/08/28 16:01] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): seeing a data point from Japan would be interesting
[2014/08/28 16:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Ok I will send it to you. Thank you.
[2014/08/28 16:01] Whirly Fizzle: Heres my test results https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mn4o59z4B0QGqBaOOH9VrEFYUZZPi0pFAv1ZYJQiHRs/edit
[2014/08/28 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lucia: ah, you can't change the visibility yourself?
[2014/08/28 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): to "public"?
[2014/08/28 16:02] Lucia Nightfire: not that
[2014/08/28 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Thanks, Yuzuru
[2014/08/28 16:02] Lucia Nightfire: I noticed you changed someone's feature request prior the Feature Request type
[2014/08/28 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, I can do that, but it's a little time consuming
[2014/08/28 16:02] Lucia Nightfire: back when you were closing feature requests as Not Applicable
[2014/08/28 16:03] Lucia Nightfire: lol
[2014/08/28 16:03] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you Whirly. It seems little different from mine..
[2014/08/28 16:03] Lucia Nightfire: all my feature requests have "Feature Request in the summary
[2014/08/28 16:04] Whirly Fizzle: Make a filter of them all Lucia then they can all be changed with a bulk change
[2014/08/28 16:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): project = BUG and reporter="Lucia Nightfire" and type="Bug" and summary ~ feature and summary ~ request
[2014/08/28 16:04] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): It is interest to access from different country.
[2014/08/28 16:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): definitely
[2014/08/28 16:04] Lucia Nightfire: https://jira.secondlife.com/issues/?filter=-2&jql=project%20in%20(BUG%2C%20STORM%2C%20WEB%2C%20SVC%2C%20SUN%2C%20SCR%2C%20VWR)%20AND%20reporter%20in%20(%22lucia.nightfire%22)%20ORDER%20BY%20created
[2014/08/28 16:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I preferred my query with only 26 issues :)
[2014/08/28 16:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I think we just need to worry about BUG type=Bug ones?
[2014/08/28 16:05] Whirly Fizzle: Resis can't use bulk change in BUG *sniffle*
[2014/08/28 16:05] Lucia Nightfire: yeah, BUG will do
[2014/08/28 16:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Anyway Lucia, I'll try to get around to that
[2014/08/28 16:05] Lucia Nightfire: although there are plenty in SCR, heh
[2014/08/28 16:05] Lucia Nightfire: tyvm
[2014/08/28 16:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): SCR should be publicly visible, usually
[2014/08/28 16:06]  rcdsQueChatLog: State changed.{click me to get the url}
[2014/08/28 16:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): well, that's it for this week - thanks for coming everybody!
[2014/08/28 16:06] Lucia Nightfire: BUG them
[2014/08/28 16:06] Rex Cronon: time 4 me to go
[2014/08/28 16:06] Lucia Nightfire: thanks
[2014/08/28 16:06] Rex Cronon: tc maestro
[2014/08/28 16:06] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you, Maestro.
[2014/08/28 16:06] Rex Cronon: tc everybody and have a nice day:)
[2014/08/28 16:06] Caleb Linden: thanks
[2014/08/28 16:06] Whirly Fizzle: Ty Lindens
[2014/08/28 16:06] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you, Caleb.
[2014/08/28 16:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): that might be trickier, but I can look into what the SCR feature request -> BUG feature request looks like
[2014/08/28 16:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): bye guys!
