[2014/10/16 15:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): heya aestro
[2014/10/16 15:00] Jenna Felton: and while the inventar is being load the mesh is not load too
[2014/10/16 15:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): hi guys
[2014/10/16 15:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): /me turns on the lights
[2014/10/16 15:00] Jenna Felton: hello Maestro
[2014/10/16 15:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): gahh
[2014/10/16 15:00] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Maestro.
[2014/10/16 15:00] Jenna Felton: and wb Whirly
[2014/10/16 15:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): now its to bright to sleep
[2014/10/16 15:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): This isn't the sleep floor, this is the dance floor!
[2014/10/16 15:00] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, TankMaster.
[2014/10/16 15:01] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): its a floor
[2014/10/16 15:01] MartinRJ Fayray: hello Maestro
[2014/10/16 15:01] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): floors are ment to be slept on :P
[2014/10/16 15:01] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): howdy
[2014/10/16 15:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Caleb.
[2014/10/16 15:01] Caleb Linden: hallo
[2014/10/16 15:01] Margithe: <--- typical wallflower
[2014/10/16 15:02] Inara Breen: Hi, Maestro, Caleb
[2014/10/16 15:02] Nal (nalates.urriah): Hi all
[2014/10/16 15:03] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Nalates.
[2014/10/16 15:03] Nal (nalates.urriah): Hi Yuzuru
[2014/10/16 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): /me stretches his hands
[2014/10/16 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): let's get started!
[2014/10/16 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group#Agenda
[2014/10/16 15:04] Rex Cronon: hello everybody
[2014/10/16 15:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I mostly have follow-up type news today
[2014/10/16 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): For updates...
[2014/10/16 15:05]  rcdsQueChatLog: State changed.{click me to get the url}
[2014/10/16 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): nothing for the main channel this week, as there was nothing on the main RC channels last week
[2014/10/16 15:05] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): news that you werent working on the RCs yourself this week? :P
[2014/10/16 15:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): BlueSteel joined the CDN project yesterday
[2014/10/16 15:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Heh, yeah, I've personally been working on the central services this past week. Also Monty's viewer.
[2014/10/16 15:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): BlueSteel has a fair number of regions, so we're gradually increasing the usage of the CDN
[2014/10/16 15:06] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): i like monty's work
[2014/10/16 15:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): yeah, it's like free speed!
[2014/10/16 15:06] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): ㋡
[2014/10/16 15:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I expect the CDN project will go to all three RC channels before too long
[2014/10/16 15:07] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): and not the illegal kind! :D
[2014/10/16 15:07] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): hah, yeah.. better be careful about that..
[2014/10/16 15:08] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): LeTigre and Magnum got a new maintenance project
[2014/10/16 15:08] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it fixes a crash mode, and also improves the delivery pipeline for abuse reports
[2014/10/16 15:09] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): heya simon!
[2014/10/16 15:09] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): But there's not much to talk about, there
[2014/10/16 15:09] Simon Linden: Hi everyone :)
[2014/10/16 15:09] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Simon.
[2014/10/16 15:09] Rex Cronon: hi simon
[2014/10/16 15:09] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Finally, I have some viewer update news
[2014/10/16 15:10] Lucia Nightfire: what crash mode? heh
[2014/10/16 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): which we usually don't do here, but since we covered it last week I thought it was worth mentioning,
[2014/10/16 15:10] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): the viewer will get updates.
[2014/10/16 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): an ugly one lucia :)
[2014/10/16 15:10] Lucia Nightfire: do tell
[2014/10/16 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Monty's viewer is on track to being more widely released
[2014/10/16 15:10] Duckie Dickins: the delivery pipeline for abuse reports.....not going to be about expanding them any more right? I think several meetings ago we discussed how some issues don't have a category anymore for abuse reporting.
[2014/10/16 15:10] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers#Second_Life_Release_Channel it can be fetched from here
[2014/10/16 15:11] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): No, it doesn't affect the categories or what sort of reports you can send, Duckie
[2014/10/16 15:11] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): though you can add your own :P
[2014/10/16 15:12] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): If they were changed, I believe that would require a viewer change to display the extra options in the UI
[2014/10/16 15:13] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): the list is just in the XML for the floater
[2014/10/16 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): About Monty's viewer, the one we linked to with last week's meeting actually had a bug
[2014/10/16 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it wasn't doing HTTP pipelining properly
[2014/10/16 15:13] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): you can edit the xml file to add new ones
[2014/10/16 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): though it was still pretty fast
[2014/10/16 15:13] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): the new build fixed pipelining, and is a bit faster (at least with the CDN)
[2014/10/16 15:14] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): is inventory fetching in the pipeline yet?
[2014/10/16 15:14] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Monty's changes with the big inventory fetching speedup are in that build too, Tank
[2014/10/16 15:15] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): nice
[2014/10/16 15:16] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Oh good, it looks like the wiki is back up: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2014/10/15/post2378/
[2014/10/16 15:17] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): for editing
[2014/10/16 15:17] Jenna Felton: cool
[2014/10/16 15:17] Gibson Firehawk: i have a question about the Snack RC
[2014/10/16 15:17] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): okay
[2014/10/16 15:17] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): omnomnomnom
[2014/10/16 15:17] Gibson Firehawk: for quite a while now i have been frequently seeing really slow parcel information updates when entering into or exiting a region on the Snack RC ...for example, in the status bar...the name of the new parcel can take sometimes up to a full minute to update in the viewer....for names on avatars to show, and for change of music stream etc....doesnt happen on the other server channels....is that something the lab is aware of or should there be a JIRA for it?
[2014/10/16 15:17] Lucia Nightfire: wonder if my CDN bandwidth would speeed up on the http viewer as atm, its non-existant, ie the same speed as through the region server
[2014/10/16 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: what Gibson said, plus
[2014/10/16 15:18] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): We've looked at a few cases like that already, Gibson
[2014/10/16 15:18] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): yes, cdn will help all viewers, not just ones with the updated http pipeline code
[2014/10/16 15:18] Lucia Nightfire: name uri's don't load as fast as in non-Snack regions
[2014/10/16 15:18] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Snack got the biggest baddest regions
[2014/10/16 15:19] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): so there's a bit of resource contention with certain data lookups
[2014/10/16 15:19] Duckie Dickins: The notice about the wiki is incorrect as I still cannot edit....it says resolved however..maybe I need to re-log into the wiki
[2014/10/16 15:19] Whirly Fizzle: The actual text says still in progress though
[2014/10/16 15:19] Simon Linden: That's interesting ... I wonder if the CDN texture requests end up hogging the pipeline adn the other updates get slowed
[2014/10/16 15:20] Duckie Dickins: yeah...still can't edit my own page.
[2014/10/16 15:20] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Hm, I see the same with another account
[2014/10/16 15:21] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I would try the same on a BlueSteel region
[2014/10/16 15:22] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): which is the same version, but doesn't have the same demographics
[2014/10/16 15:23] Lucia Nightfire: got a few popular/busy region names on BS?
[2014/10/16 15:23] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Bluesteel sandbox, perhaps?
[2014/10/16 15:23] Lucia Nightfire: would be nice to see what channels regions are on from teh world map
[2014/10/16 15:23] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Oops, sorry, false alarm on the wiki thing after all - the resolution was 'it's still broken'
[2014/10/16 15:24] Duckie Dickins: lol
[2014/10/16 15:25] Duckie Dickins: Strife must be going out of his mind.
[2014/10/16 15:25] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): How about "Lill Burn Valley", "Milyang", "Badly Moor", Lucia
[2014/10/16 15:26] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): those are BlueSteel mainland regions with a fair number of users
[2014/10/16 15:26] Lucia Nightfire: ok, thanks
[2014/10/16 15:26] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Franks Place 2 is on BlueSteel - I wonder how they're doing
[2014/10/16 15:26] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): it's a very popular club
[2014/10/16 15:27] Lucia Nightfire: if I see better texture load in BS regions, I'll request my current Snack regions be moved to them soon, lol
[2014/10/16 15:27] Lucia Nightfire: as atm its crap
[2014/10/16 15:27] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes I think that's doable through support
[2014/10/16 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: unless the Dallas server is not capable of handlign the workload
[2014/10/16 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: so what are your findings on that dataserver weirdness?
[2014/10/16 15:31] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): With the slowness? In the cases I've seen so far, the slowness was due to a rapid rate of requests from all the users logged into the regions. If the sim were serving all the texture and mesh requests as it traditionally would, the regions would have 'fallen over' before becoming that populated, it looks like..
[2014/10/16 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: talking about the DATA_BORN thing
[2014/10/16 15:32] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Ah sorry
[2014/10/16 15:32] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lucia, would you mind opening that issue up?
[2014/10/16 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: not atm
[2014/10/16 15:33] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): okay..
[2014/10/16 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: I'd have to remove certain info
[2014/10/16 15:33] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Let's give them a summary..
[2014/10/16 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: unless you have another dedicated account to target
[2014/10/16 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: a LL account preferably, heh
[2014/10/16 15:33] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lucia found a cool bug:
[2014/10/16 15:34] Lucia Nightfire: maybe you can create one tonight after 23:00
[2014/10/16 15:34] Jenna Felton: /me will keep any secret info in secret
[2014/10/16 15:34] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): there's an LSL function which returns the date an avatar was 'born' https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/DATA_BORN
[2014/10/16 15:34] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Lucia found that for a certain account, you get inconsistent DATA_BORN results
[2014/10/16 15:34] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): sometimes, it will be off by a day
[2014/10/16 15:34] Jenna Felton: this is a constant but this one does http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlRequestAgentData
[2014/10/16 15:34] Lucia Nightfire: still doesn't explain why one region can return a different value for the same account than another
[2014/10/16 15:35] Rex Cronon: due to clock differences?
[2014/10/16 15:35] Simon Linden: how close in time were those two checks done?
[2014/10/16 15:35] Lucia Nightfire: all time functions in the region are working correctly
[2014/10/16 15:35] Lucia Nightfire: theres only one check
[2014/10/16 15:35] Lucia Nightfire: but I get where you're going
[2014/10/16 15:36] Lucia Nightfire: I think theres multi function calc somewhere in the backend
[2014/10/16 15:36] Lucia Nightfire: and it snot compensatign for a time change in the next called functions
[2014/10/16 15:36] Simon Linden: I looked at the code and couldn't figure out where that comes in ... I expected some timezone shift or something to kick in, but I couldn't see anything
[2014/10/16 15:36] Lucia Nightfire: but that would mean the calc is not optimal
[2014/10/16 15:37] Simon Linden: So I built a version that checks every hour and emails me the result ... I want to see how it looks over 24 hours
[2014/10/16 15:37] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I did some checks pretty closely in time, Simon. Run the query in regionA. get resultA. TP to regionB, get result B. TP back to regionA, get resultA again
[2014/10/16 15:37] Duckie Dickins: I think my account was created after 23:00
[2014/10/16 15:37] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Then I wrote a script similar to yours, simon. It checked the DATA_BORN of the same user every 15min
[2014/10/16 15:38] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): the results were... resultA, resultA, resultA, resultA, resultB, resultB, resultB
[2014/10/16 15:38] Lucia Nightfire: I suspect you won't see this weirdness after Nov 2
[2014/10/16 15:38] Simon Linden: what was different when it changed?
[2014/10/16 15:39] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): It was one of those bug reports where the repro is "do nothing and stand in a sim"  :-)
[2014/10/16 15:40] Simon Linden: how about time of day between the change from result A to B ?
[2014/10/16 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): in my script's case, it changed between 14:02 and 14:17 PDT
[2014/10/16 15:40] Rex Cronon: it could be that there is a division done and the result is not rounded up/down correctly?
[2014/10/16 15:40] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): not even on the hour, which is curious
[2014/10/16 15:40] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): it is REGION!!!!
[2014/10/16 15:40] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): :P
[2014/10/16 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: I would hope theres no rounding at all anywhere
[2014/10/16 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: only div or mod
[2014/10/16 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: maybe *
[2014/10/16 15:41] Simon Linden: geeze, that is an odd one ... yeah, I was expecting something that makes sense near midnight, maybe PST or UTC or such
[2014/10/16 15:42] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Well, I think we (Lindens) need to investigate how that lookup works. I thought it would just fetch a string from the database, but it seems to be doing something stranger.
[2014/10/16 15:42] Margithe: i have a question about group notices.. Very often i get notices where the group says (none). sometimes it loads, sometimes it stays that way forever and i have to figure out what group the notice comes from by it's content. Is it lag on my side, or group?
[2014/10/16 15:42] Rex Cronon: its a backdoor;)
[2014/10/16 15:42] Simon Linden: from what i can tell in the code, it just reads the info from the database and returns it. There's some caching so you can't hammer the database, but it's not like there's a lot of (or any) calculations going on
[2014/10/16 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: group uri's sometimes don't load in notices
[2014/10/16 15:43] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Hm Margithe, that's an interesting question
[2014/10/16 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: as well as deeded dialog's
[2014/10/16 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I feel like the viewer should know the names of all the groups you belong to, and should cache that
[2014/10/16 15:44] Jenna Felton: can the database deliver different result in respect from what server the request came?
[2014/10/16 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and if you got a notice, you're in the group
[2014/10/16 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): only in the case of demonic possession, Jenna
[2014/10/16 15:44] Margithe: some groups are affected more than others. Almost to the point that i know which group the message could be from
[2014/10/16 15:44] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): so hopefully not :)
[2014/10/16 15:44] Jenna Felton: you never know...
[2014/10/16 15:45] Simon Linden: It shouldn't, Jenna
[2014/10/16 15:45] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): if the data were rapidly changing, there could be some differences based on the caching state of which sim you asked it on,
[2014/10/16 15:46] Margithe: the (none) is also a link to the group the notice came from, but clicking it doesn't open the group either, like it normally would do
[2014/10/16 15:46] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): but birth date shouldn't change ever
[2014/10/16 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: ^
[2014/10/16 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: weird how any calc is involved, heh
[2014/10/16 15:46] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): There may be some details in the viewer log about what's going wrong, Margithe
[2014/10/16 15:46] Margithe: where should i look?
[2014/10/16 15:46] Simon Linden: I'm not sure what's going on with that group info ... I'd have to see what's inside a notice and what group info it then fetches to display that correct. It sounds like a request for information is getting stalled
[2014/10/16 15:47] Rex Cronon: u have birthday and today, so u need to calculate how much time has passed
[2014/10/16 15:47] Jenna Felton: i was thinking about a bug caused in the database code that deliver result, caused by some byte in the request that is different in requests sent by different regions.. but that would probably cause more bugs than in DATA_BORN
[2014/10/16 15:47] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I would first look for messages in SecondLife.log with the groups' group_id (you definitely can't look for the group name here, since the viewer apparently forgot)
[2014/10/16 15:48] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I guess the group name resolution issue could also be caused by a malformed notice message, which doesn't present the group_id properly
[2014/10/16 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: the closest guess I have is that there is a time change after one function calls a time and a second calls a different one, such as the gmt2PST/PDT or getdate2pst/pdt date calculators on the wiki, which surprising don't have provisions for if theres a time change, esp inbetween midnight
[2014/10/16 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: theres a slight chance it can occur
[2014/10/16 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: even if calling two functionds in the same line
[2014/10/16 15:50] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yes, there have been a few bugs like that. Where a data source is using UTC but the other end is PDT, or vice-versa
[2014/10/16 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: I demo'd that in a test yesterday, although it took hundreds of them running at 0.01 sec timers to finally show it, heh
[2014/10/16 15:50] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and you'll see the 'wrong' date for 7 hours a day (the timezone difference)
[2014/10/16 15:50] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): thats silly
[2014/10/16 15:51] Lucia Nightfire: anyway I hope someone can crack the case, heh
[2014/10/16 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: it affects legacy profile dates as well for those lucky to use them, heh
[2014/10/16 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: means once the bug is fixed I have to go back and run a validation check on a thousands of agents I have in my banlists, heh
[2014/10/16 15:52] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): If you can provide some other agent_ids that show the issue, maybe we can identify the trend..
[2014/10/16 15:53] Lucia Nightfire: Maestro, stay after work and create a test account after 23:00, heh
[2014/10/16 15:53] Lucia Nightfire: let me know the agent name and key, heh
[2014/10/16 15:53] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I'll stick with my script that uses a timer to check automatically, thanks :)
[2014/10/16 15:53] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): lol
[2014/10/16 15:53] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): slacker :D
[2014/10/16 15:54] Jenna Felton: when the bug is fixed those residents who are banned because too young, they are old enough to be unbanned, so i think you can simply flush the ban list Lucia :)
[2014/10/16 15:54] Lucia Nightfire: ok I'll create an account, heh
[2014/10/16 15:54] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): We have a few minutes left.. any other last minute topics?
[2014/10/16 15:54] Lucia Nightfire: no, not an age thingh, I just want accurate records
[2014/10/16 15:54] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): give Monty a big thank you for his awesome work!
[2014/10/16 15:54] Jenna Felton: ok
[2014/10/16 15:54] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Sure thing Tank!
[2014/10/16 15:55] Jenna Felton: i wish there was a way to suppress the inventory offer message when i am offline and allow the message when i am online
[2014/10/16 15:55] Jenna Felton: so that when i am offline my mail box is not overfilled by inventory delivery messages but when i am online i can se who has given me something
[2014/10/16 15:56] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): /me sens jenna his mega prim collection one prim at a time when jenna is offline
[2014/10/16 15:56] Lucia Nightfire: don't be so popular
[2014/10/16 15:56] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): :P
[2014/10/16 15:56] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): and in this case, you still want to see normal IMs from friends and such?
[2014/10/16 15:56] Jenna Felton: yes
[2014/10/16 15:57] Jenna Felton: dont be popular a god suggestion but no more possible
[2014/10/16 15:57] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): oh! maestro, have you had any chance to look into my request to have the ability for intra-region TP when a landing point exists?
[2014/10/16 15:57] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yeah, that would be neat.
[2014/10/16 15:58] Duckie Dickins: I still only got one last thing... BUG-1786 again. :P
[2014/10/16 15:58] Lucia Nightfire: experience based teleporting overrides landing points, like a boss, heh
[2014/10/16 15:58] Margithe: it would be nice if that bug was actually assigned to someone
[2014/10/16 15:58] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Tank: so when you first arrive at the region/estate, you go to the landing point, but then you can tp freely as long as your source position is in the same region/estate?
[2014/10/16 15:59] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): yes
[2014/10/16 15:59] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): like with double click to tp
[2014/10/16 15:59] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): (I'm using '/' because I could see the feature being implemented at region or estate level..)
[2014/10/16 15:59] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): i set my request jira for both, yeah
[2014/10/16 15:59] Margithe: Thats a great idea Tank.
[2014/10/16 15:59] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Yeha that would be cool
[2014/10/16 15:59] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Simon is the guy to bug about that :)
[2014/10/16 15:59] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): im sure whirly could find the jira faster than me :P
[2014/10/16 16:00] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I think it would have to be a new option though, because I think some regions wouldn't want to allow that
[2014/10/16 16:00] Whirly Fizzle: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-5222
[2014/10/16 16:00]  rcdsQueChatLog: State changed.{click me to get the url}
[2014/10/16 16:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): right, it would be optional
[2014/10/16 16:00] Rex Cronon: i g2g. tc everybody and have a nice day:)
[2014/10/16 16:00] Lucia Nightfire: she is a little under the weather today, notice it took longer than 30 sec
[2014/10/16 16:00] Whirly Fizzle: Double click TP should be exempt from landing pints >.<
[2014/10/16 16:00] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): cus role play wouldnt want people TPing, but some shops wouldnt care
[2014/10/16 16:00] Whirly Fizzle: *points
[2014/10/16 16:00] Jenna Felton: what also would be cool if the viewer would not load the same texture or sound over and over because it is out of too small cache. but that is probably too much work :) https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-7474?
[2014/10/16 16:00] Duckie Dickins: lol
[2014/10/16 16:01] Gibson Firehawk: why not parcel level to accompany the usual land owner options for landing point and routing?
[2014/10/16 16:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): See you, Rex. Thank you for the log system.
[2014/10/16 16:01] Gibson Firehawk: more people could benefit that way instead of just EMs and region owners
[2014/10/16 16:01] Nal (nalates.urriah): Thanks all
[2014/10/16 16:01] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): I guess that would be possible, Gibson
[2014/10/16 16:02] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): though I'm a little worried by peopel getting confused if we go all out with complicated TP routing rules :)
[2014/10/16 16:02] Jenna Felton: would they notice that?
[2014/10/16 16:02] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): i was invisioning a seconday option of allowing intra-region TP when the user had set a landing point of some sort, defalted to not allow to keep behior the same as it is now
[2014/10/16 16:03] Margithe: i don't think it's theoretiacally comples. " this is the first place you arrive to on sim" and then go as you wish
[2014/10/16 16:03] Gibson Firehawk: im leery though about a simwide option..that could be a turn off for individual parcel owners...and what about mainland?
[2014/10/16 16:04] Margithe: i mean, considering how Sl residents have managed to juggle frankenavatars with limbs put together and a gazillion emerging mesh avatar systems, that TP idea is a logical breeze
[2014/10/16 16:04] Jenna Felton: what if simply to allow to TP simwide when you TP from the landing point
[2014/10/16 16:04] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Heh, I guess so. Perhaps the traditional landing point behavior would be more confusing, when they do encounter that
[2014/10/16 16:04] Jenna Felton: this way you arrive at landing point and can go as you wish then
[2014/10/16 16:04] Lucia Nightfire: it is confusin
[2014/10/16 16:05] Lucia Nightfire: I've seen peopel accustomed to dctp getting sent back to a landing point
[2014/10/16 16:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): /me nods
[2014/10/16 16:05] Whirly Fizzle: I so hate that Lucia
[2014/10/16 16:05] Margithe: dctp?
[2014/10/16 16:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Okay, I'm out of time!
[2014/10/16 16:05] Margithe: oh
[2014/10/16 16:05] Lucia Nightfire: dctp = double click teleporting
[2014/10/16 16:05] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): double click to tp
[2014/10/16 16:05] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): you guys can stay if you like, though :)
[2014/10/16 16:06] Duckie Dickins: Thanks Maestro
[2014/10/16 16:06] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you, Maestro.
[2014/10/16 16:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): Thanks for coming, everybody!
[2014/10/16 16:06] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): tc maestro!
[2014/10/16 16:06] Margithe: right. It was messing me up in the roleplay sim i'm in, so i had to disable it
[2014/10/16 16:06] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): thx for your time
[2014/10/16 16:06] Whirly Fizzle: Ty Lindens
[2014/10/16 16:06] Simon Linden: Thanks everyone for coming today -- see you next time
[2014/10/16 16:06] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you, Simon and Caleb.
[2014/10/16 16:06] Margithe: nothing like teleporting back to the start, in the middle of two posts...
[2014/10/16 16:06] And all I got was this lousy DN (tankmaster.finesmith): thanks for coming, simon and caleb
[2014/10/16 16:06] Lucia Nightfire: later
[2014/10/16 16:06] Jenna Felton: have a good rest of the week Maestor and Simon
[2014/10/16 16:06] Duckie Dickins: Yeah Margithe keeps accidently double clicking her way back to the landing point. :D
[2014/10/16 16:06] Mæstro Linden (maestro.linden): you too Jenna
[2014/10/16 16:06] Margithe: Thanks Lindens!
