[2017/01/19 14:52] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): what homework?
[2017/01/19 14:52] Mazidox Linden: I did a lot of homework! None of it was appearance related sadly.
[2017/01/19 14:52] NOPE (margithe): Hi Jenna!
[2017/01/19 14:53] NOPE (margithe): No crash course in "this is our main product, this is how it works?"
[2017/01/19 14:54] NOPE (margithe): i guess it's not really relevant :/
[2017/01/19 14:54] Jenna Felton: hello Jonathan
[2017/01/19 14:54] Mazidox Linden: I'm not sure what you mean?
[2017/01/19 14:54] Jonathan Yap: hello everyone
[2017/01/19 14:54] Mazidox Linden: Hi there Jonathan
[2017/01/19 14:55] NOPE (margithe): (i'm not typing but SL thinks i am)
[2017/01/19 14:59] Mazidox Linden: Hi there Lucia
[2017/01/19 14:59] NOPE (margithe): Hi Lucy :)
[2017/01/19 14:59] Lucia Nightfire: hola
[2017/01/19 15:00] Mazidox Linden: And it's 15:00, shall we kick this off?
[2017/01/19 15:00] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): hia
[2017/01/19 15:00] Lucia Nightfire: give it a few more
[2017/01/19 15:00] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): alrighty
[2017/01/19 15:01] NOPE (margithe): When Whirly stops showing up, we can go ahead and declare this thing dead.
[2017/01/19 15:01] Jenna Felton: hello Lucia :)
[2017/01/19 15:01] Lucia Nightfire: what am I? chopped liver?
[2017/01/19 15:01] Lucia Nightfire: heh
[2017/01/19 15:01] NOPE (margithe): nobody will be able to find anything in the Jira anyhow
[2017/01/19 15:01] Mazidox Linden: Not a problem. In the interim, I'm just going to talk briefly about the feedback I got last week.
[2017/01/19 15:01] NOPE (margithe): Well even if you file sec-jiras, who will be able to pull them out!
[2017/01/19 15:02] Mazidox Linden: So, first off, transcripts are a thing again. We've got last week's posted, and we'll post up this week's too.
[2017/01/19 15:02] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): there are some things you can find: in the jira i do "+Searchterm1 +Searchterm2" to narrow down the results
[2017/01/19 15:02] Lucia Nightfire: if only the viewer had partial name search for inventory like FS
[2017/01/19 15:02] Lucia Nightfire: as it is a godsend, imo
[2017/01/19 15:04] Mazidox Linden: Hi there Rex, arton.
[2017/01/19 15:04] NOPE (margithe): Hi Rex, Arton!
[2017/01/19 15:04] arton Rotaru: Gunaaaabend
[2017/01/19 15:04] Lucia Nightfire: smh
[2017/01/19 15:04] NOPE (margithe): /me holds her ears
[2017/01/19 15:04] arton Rotaru: :p
[2017/01/19 15:04] Lucia Nightfire: had the headphones off and still heard it
[2017/01/19 15:04] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): gunaaaabend
[2017/01/19 15:04] Rex Cronon: hi mazidox
[2017/01/19 15:04] Lucia Nightfire: sounded like a wounded cat
[2017/01/19 15:04] Mazidox Linden: Secondly, we're going to put together at least a minimal agenda for each meeting.
[2017/01/19 15:04] Rex Cronon: hi everybody
[2017/01/19 15:05] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): hi rex
[2017/01/19 15:05] Rex Cronon: hi caleb
[2017/01/19 15:05] Mazidox Linden: Today's uh... Went up a few minutes ago. That's not ideal, and I'll have it up "earlier" next week. I don't want to make specific promises until I look at my calendar after this meeting.
[2017/01/19 15:05]  rcdsQueChatLog: State changed.{click me to get the url}
[2017/01/19 15:05] NOPE (margithe): I've been thinking a bit, and i sort of wonder if maybe it would be good to invite more people over? people don't know these things exist.
[2017/01/19 15:05] Jenna Felton: hi Rex :)
[2017/01/19 15:05] Mazidox Linden: Hi there Whirly.
[2017/01/19 15:05] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): yeah!
[2017/01/19 15:05] Whirly Fizzle: Hiya
[2017/01/19 15:05] Rex Cronon: hi jenna:)
[2017/01/19 15:06] Lucia Nightfire: sounds like you're going to be taking over the group soon, Mazi, heh
[2017/01/19 15:06] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): i joined the SBUG meeting when oskar and maestro already had some guests on. how did you guys hear about it?
[2017/01/19 15:06] Jenna Felton: and hi Whirly :)
[2017/01/19 15:06] NOPE (margithe): agenda, good lord
[2017/01/19 15:06] Jenna Felton: having agenda is also a cool thing
[2017/01/19 15:07] Rex Cronon: hi margithe
[2017/01/19 15:07] Rex Cronon: hi arton
[2017/01/19 15:07] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_Beta_User_Group
[2017/01/19 15:07] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): tada
[2017/01/19 15:07] Whirly Fizzle: Lucia, one for your ban list http://prnt.sc/dxuq7l . On FS gateway trying to crash noobs. Check the complexity.
[2017/01/19 15:07] Lucia Nightfire: I can't remember the last time we went over agendas in this group
[2017/01/19 15:07] NOPE (margithe): I think Duckie brought me here, said there will be Live Lindens
[2017/01/19 15:07] Rex Cronon: hi whirly
[2017/01/19 15:07] Whirly Fizzle: Heya :)
[2017/01/19 15:08] Lucia Nightfire: that complexity is a normal lagger
[2017/01/19 15:08] Mazidox Linden: Lucia, that's 0% the intention. I'm not going to be a full time server QA, I'm just starting here, and saw an opportunity to improve the attendee engagement with a pretty minimal outlay, so I figured why not!
[2017/01/19 15:09] Lucia Nightfire: I finally got ahold of one of those super laggers that yield 110 million ACI, then I revamped it to over 350 million
[2017/01/19 15:09] Mazidox Linden: I don't know if I actually qualify as "live" given I'm actually a synthetic pesticide ;)
[2017/01/19 15:09] Rex Cronon: nice. u guys started the logs again:)
[2017/01/19 15:09] Lucia Nightfire: with my > 256 link exploit
[2017/01/19 15:09] Lucia Nightfire: *hack
[2017/01/19 15:10] NOPE (margithe): Aww, you get all the good hacks.
[2017/01/19 15:10] Lucia Nightfire: not saying anything bad, Mazi, I like seeing high speed LL employees in action
[2017/01/19 15:10] Rex Cronon: but. looks like is only a partial transcript
[2017/01/19 15:10] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): Straight from the SBUG wiki.
[2017/01/19 15:10] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): Promoting RC (17.01.12.322824) to Main Channel on Tuesday.
     Pile On Testing Time
We'll be testing texture fetch times and texture uploading
Each participant should create objects and then texture them
Please note results in SBUG Core Group group
[2017/01/19 15:10] Mazidox Linden: Third, we're going to try and have at least occasional audience participation days (like today!). We want you to enjoy coming here and feel like it's time well spent. And it just so happens that we get valuable testing in the bargain :)
[2017/01/19 15:11] Rex Cronon: "audience participation"?
[2017/01/19 15:11] NOPE (margithe): I think i'm gonna fall off mah chair.
[2017/01/19 15:11] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): bench
[2017/01/19 15:11] Whirly Fizzle: hehe
[2017/01/19 15:11] Lucia Nightfire: @Rex, it looks like it's partial because it's one page compared to your 2, heh
[2017/01/19 15:11] arton Rotaru: fuck, now we have to work even :p
[2017/01/19 15:11] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): just partaking
[2017/01/19 15:12] Lucia Nightfire: wordy dirds
[2017/01/19 15:12] Rex Cronon: lucy. looks partial because it starts at 12:15
[2017/01/19 15:12] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): i see
[2017/01/19 15:12] Mazidox Linden: Alright, so as mentioned in the agenda, we're promoting RC 17.01.12.322824 to main channel.
[2017/01/19 15:13] Lucia Nightfire: I notice no new version on aditi, so nothing going out next week?
[2017/01/19 15:13] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): That's correct
[2017/01/19 15:13] Lucia Nightfire: wah
[2017/01/19 15:14] Mazidox Linden: There's not much to say about this. From what I understand (which is not tons so far, I think, remember, only my second week) it's a pretty standard promotion cycle.
[2017/01/19 15:14] Lucia Nightfire: yes, no shineys is standard, heh
[2017/01/19 15:14] Rex Cronon: i know how u can increase attendance here:)
[2017/01/19 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: have Caleb doa strip tease?
[2017/01/19 15:15] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): plenty of other projects to work on
[2017/01/19 15:15] Whirly Fizzle: So what's changed in 17.01.12.322824 that needs texture fetch times tested?
[2017/01/19 15:15] Mazidox Linden: I'm all ears Rex.
[2017/01/19 15:15] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): lucia, you wanna see this avatar undress?
[2017/01/19 15:15] Rex Cronon: have the ceo make a public announcement that he will come here a week before he does:)
[2017/01/19 15:15] Lucia Nightfire: it was a joke, get over yourself, smh
[2017/01/19 15:15] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): hehe
[2017/01/19 15:15] Mazidox Linden: The texture fetch is actually decoupled from simulator changes.
[2017/01/19 15:16] Mazidox Linden: So it's something... Uh... Handwave internal gabbledegook... I don't know, I just work here!
[2017/01/19 15:16] Lucia Nightfire: "I'm just a hamster stuck in a wheel all day, gimme a break"
[2017/01/19 15:16] Whirly Fizzle: I thought it was already decoupled since CDN...
[2017/01/19 15:16] Rex Cronon: lucy. u put bad ideas in calebs head. lol
[2017/01/19 15:16] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): changing hardware from what i understand
[2017/01/19 15:16] Mazidox Linden: Anyway, the upshot is, we might see changes in texture load time (not like, stopwatch precise changes, but human noticeable changes)
[2017/01/19 15:16] Whirly Fizzle: Ahh ok
[2017/01/19 15:17] Whirly Fizzle: Oh is it the Linux upodate stuffs?
[2017/01/19 15:17] Mazidox Linden: So we want to have you be the humans who notice!
[2017/01/19 15:17] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): the ops team gave us a go on aditi to check it out
[2017/01/19 15:17] Lucia Nightfire: "I'll allow it!"
[2017/01/19 15:17] NOPE (margithe): Alright. The guinneapigs are a go.
[2017/01/19 15:17] Mazidox Linden: Everyone clear on what we're doing?
[2017/01/19 15:17] Mazidox Linden: Oh!
[2017/01/19 15:17] Mazidox Linden: Hang on!
[2017/01/19 15:18] Mazidox Linden: There's a part I missed.
[2017/01/19 15:18] Whirly Fizzle: So what actually changed?
[2017/01/19 15:18] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): nothing customer facing
[2017/01/19 15:18] NOPE (margithe): Step by step for the dum-dum, yes?
[2017/01/19 15:18] Rex Cronon: until u r having a test run maxidox there is very likely there will be questions:)
[2017/01/19 15:19] Mazidox Linden: whispers: 1) Create an object
[2017/01/19 15:19] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): let's say if you see something gray, after clearing the viewer cache, let us know
[2017/01/19 15:19] Mazidox Linden: Bah
[2017/01/19 15:19] Whirly Fizzle: Ok well, Im uploading textures lol
[2017/01/19 15:19] Lucia Nightfire: "it all starts with a cube"
[2017/01/19 15:19] Mazidox Linden: I keep forgetting that I can't do multiline with shift+enter
[2017/01/19 15:20] Rex Cronon: is like in programming. u have an idea, u make a prototype and u test it:)
[2017/01/19 15:21] Mazidox Linden: Does anyone want to bring up issues that they have found and think need attention, that got missed by standard triage, or that merits discussion?
[2017/01/19 15:21] Mazidox Linden: *Server issues
[2017/01/19 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: ya
[2017/01/19 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: a clac issue
[2017/01/19 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: *calc
[2017/01/19 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: easy fix
[2017/01/19 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: beena bug for years...
[2017/01/19 15:21] Lucia Nightfire: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-40870
[2017/01/19 15:22] Mazidox Linden: Whenever someone says "Easy fix" I get nervous D:
[2017/01/19 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: it is the last of the object ratio based calc bugs, all the viewer ones were recently fixed
[2017/01/19 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: it is easy
[2017/01/19 15:22] Lucia Nightfire: it is nothing more than a formula fix
[2017/01/19 15:22] NOPE (margithe): ok, i can say that the bulk 10 random textures upload is being slow for me
[2017/01/19 15:22] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-40870 is still open in the backlog. simon didn't look at it yet
[2017/01/19 15:23] Rex Cronon: land impact?
[2017/01/19 15:23] Lucia Nightfire: it's annoying
[2017/01/19 15:23] Lucia Nightfire: it affects scripts
[2017/01/19 15:23] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): i'll bring it to his attention
[2017/01/19 15:23] Lucia Nightfire: it doesn't impact rezzing though at least
[2017/01/19 15:23] Mazidox Linden: Okay, I'll add that to our open items list
[2017/01/19 15:24] Lucia Nightfire: but the fact that it affects scripts and the viewer is annoying
[2017/01/19 15:24] Lucia Nightfire: afaik, it is the last land impact calc bug left to fix
[2017/01/19 15:24] Mazidox Linden: Great, thanks Lucia. Anyone else have anything they want to raise before we get to testing?
[2017/01/19 15:25] Lucia Nightfire: there are more bugs I can cry about if you want, heh
[2017/01/19 15:26] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): i am sure we heard of them
[2017/01/19 15:26] Lucia Nightfire: Caleb, what is the proposed block list limit with SL-448
[2017/01/19 15:27] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): It looks like it is going through the viewer release. please, defer to the viewer dev or qa
[2017/01/19 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: Mazi, what is the block list limit with SL-448
[2017/01/19 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: heh
[2017/01/19 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: lol
[2017/01/19 15:28] NOPE (margithe): /me laughs
[2017/01/19 15:28] Rex Cronon: what lindens do QA?
[2017/01/19 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: Mazi afaik
[2017/01/19 15:28] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): lol
[2017/01/19 15:28] Whirly Fizzle: 1000 isn't it?
[2017/01/19 15:28] Mazidox Linden: I do QA, but I'm focused on server side for now, as I mentioned
[2017/01/19 15:28] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): *curl to ball AO activated*
[2017/01/19 15:28] Whirly Fizzle: Well, its limited to 1k atm
[2017/01/19 15:28] Lucia Nightfire: since when is it limited?
[2017/01/19 15:28] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): thanks whirly
[2017/01/19 15:29] Rex Cronon: ok. thank u
[2017/01/19 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: I thought it allowed unlimited
[2017/01/19 15:29] Whirly Fizzle: Since that dud blocked 10k people & his block list exploded
[2017/01/19 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: isn't that why that fix was made?
[2017/01/19 15:29] Whirly Fizzle: *dude
[2017/01/19 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: where does it day 1k though?
[2017/01/19 15:29] Lucia Nightfire: I'm mainly concerned because I last had 700 on my list
[2017/01/19 15:30] Lucia Nightfire: because I'm special and have many "idiot fans"
[2017/01/19 15:30] Whirly Fizzle: I can't remember if that 1k block was server or viewer side tbh
[2017/01/19 15:30] Rex Cronon: lol lucy
[2017/01/19 15:30] NOPE (margithe): it would be helpful if your list would get pruned vs the LL banlist
[2017/01/19 15:30] Mazidox Linden: The short answer is I don't know. I could follow up with someone etc etc, but you really would be better served talking directly to someone who works on viewer, you'll have a shorter feedback loop to get you what you want to know and it's more likely to be accurate.
[2017/01/19 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: what is Grump's email? heh
[2017/01/19 15:31] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): currently i don't see any server component linked to SL-448
[2017/01/19 15:31] Whirly Fizzle: It's doc'd on the JIRA issue I think. hang on
[2017/01/19 15:31] Rex Cronon: i don't think that lucy can prune her block list. lots of geniuses at swt:)
[2017/01/19 15:31] Lucia Nightfire: well, it doesn't help that there is no defense against idiots distroing IM spammers
[2017/01/19 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: ie, script UUID or creator UUID sent with the IM data
[2017/01/19 15:32] Whirly Fizzle: Bulk upload of 32 textures worked fine btw
[2017/01/19 15:32] Lucia Nightfire: ie, something else other than owner to block
[2017/01/19 15:32] NOPE (margithe): lets test?
[2017/01/19 15:32] Mazidox Linden: Whirly, I thought you said 10 was taking a while?
[2017/01/19 15:32] Jenna Felton: how does the test actually?
[2017/01/19 15:32] Rex Cronon: it would be good if we had llBlock(uuid who2block)
[2017/01/19 15:33] Jenna Felton: rez a cube, relog by cleaning cache and then?
[2017/01/19 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: whispers: Rex, that can be abuse if it isn't tied to explicit permissions
[2017/01/19 15:33] Whirly Fizzle: Hmm this was the JIRA that caused the block list limit to be added https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-37664
[2017/01/19 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: *Rex, that can be abuse if it isn't tied to explicit permissions
[2017/01/19 15:33] Mazidox Linden: Also, looking at the BUG attached to that SL the answer is "less than 10k"
[2017/01/19 15:33] Mazidox Linden: How much less, I don't know
[2017/01/19 15:33] Lucia Nightfire: Whirls you have better connections, can you find out? heh
[2017/01/19 15:33] Whirly Fizzle: Hang on
[2017/01/19 15:34] NOPE (margithe): HA.
[2017/01/19 15:34] Lucia Nightfire: it would help if the block list had a tally and the limit on the same page
[2017/01/19 15:34] Lucia Nightfire: in my case, 752/1000 for example
[2017/01/19 15:34] Whirly Fizzle: Yeah that would be a good change
[2017/01/19 15:35] Rex Cronon: i think we need 2 block lists. one 4 objects and one 4 avatars:)
[2017/01/19 15:35] Mazidox Linden: For testing: Please go ahead and create some objects, put textures on them. Create more objects, upload textures, put those new textures on the objects in question. Bulk upload textures. Put those textures on objects. Change regions. Create more objects, put fresh textures on those. Etc. If at any point you see gray instead of a texture please let us know when and where.
[2017/01/19 15:35] Mazidox Linden: We'd also like a brief summary of your testing overall, put into the group SBUG Core Group chat.
[2017/01/19 15:36] Lucia Nightfire: why won't going to texture test2a with a cleared cache work better?
[2017/01/19 15:36] Mazidox Linden: Nothing too strenuous, just "Hey, I uploaded some textures, everything looked okay" or "I was in Morris and nothing would load for 2 minutes at around 3:36 SLT"
[2017/01/19 15:36] Jenna Felton: this all should happen today or due the next days?
[2017/01/19 15:36] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): you can play in the next few days too
[2017/01/19 15:37] Mazidox Linden: Do as much or as little as you like, but if you keep testing beyond 16:00 SLT today, please send me a note card instead.
[2017/01/19 15:37] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): is texture test 2a accessible to you?
[2017/01/19 15:37] Lucia Nightfire: idk
[2017/01/19 15:37] Lucia Nightfire: but it has liek 10k unique textures there, right?
[2017/01/19 15:37] Rex Cronon: what is the min/max bulk size list upload?
[2017/01/19 15:37] Jenna Felton: and the test is bound to any server version or any regions?
[2017/01/19 15:38] Mazidox Linden: Nope, because it's decoupled from simulator version, you can test anywhere.
[2017/01/19 15:38] Lucia Nightfire: can't access either 2a or 2h
[2017/01/19 15:38] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): oh ok, let me check
[2017/01/19 15:38] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): brb
[2017/01/19 15:38] Rex Cronon: on what grid do u want us to do it?
[2017/01/19 15:39] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): aditi
[2017/01/19 15:39] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): anywhere you like
[2017/01/19 15:39] Object: Hello, Avatar!
[2017/01/19 15:39] Lucia Nightfire: "The bars are temples but their pearls ain't free"
[2017/01/19 15:39] Object: Hello, Avatar!
[2017/01/19 15:39] Mazidox Linden: Anyone else have questions?
[2017/01/19 15:40] Lucia Nightfire: so whats the focus areas?
[2017/01/19 15:40] Lucia Nightfire: uploading or first time rendering?
[2017/01/19 15:40] Jenna Felton: Texturetest2a is not accessible
[2017/01/19 15:40] Lucia Nightfire: or caching?
[2017/01/19 15:41] Mazidox Linden: First time rendering, caching, and does it render at all.
[2017/01/19 15:41] Rex Cronon: what is the min/max bulk size list upload?
[2017/01/19 15:41] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): first time rendering
[2017/01/19 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: aren't the texture test sims a good test bed for that though?
[2017/01/19 15:41] Lucia Nightfire: as they contain thousands of unique textures all together
[2017/01/19 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: Ok so block list limit is 1k by default, viewer change only (though we know the server gets angry with 10k on the block list...). Change is in Maint-RC only and controlled by debug setting MuteListLimit
[2017/01/19 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: That do? lol
[2017/01/19 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: I griffed Kyle
[2017/01/19 15:42] Lucia Nightfire: so it can be exceeded in the viewer via debug change?
[2017/01/19 15:42] Whirly Fizzle: Ya
[2017/01/19 15:42] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): lucia, what tis the texturetest region you were able to access? on aditi?
[2017/01/19 15:42] Rex Cronon: u can make a mute list over 9000;)
[2017/01/19 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: so I should file a feature request to get the tally and reference that debug for total to be displayed on the list, heh
[2017/01/19 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: secondlife://util.aditi.lindenlab.com/secondlife/TextureTest2H/128/128/2
[2017/01/19 15:43] Jenna Felton: oh, should it be a linden viewer for the test?
[2017/01/19 15:43] Mazidox Linden: Rex, I don't know what the max is. Anyone have an idea?
[2017/01/19 15:43] Whirly Fizzle: Sounds like a good idea.
[2017/01/19 15:43] Lucia Nightfire: secondlife://util.aditi.lindenlab.com/secondlife/TextureTest2A/128/128/2
[2017/01/19 15:43] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): ok
[2017/01/19 15:44] Lucia Nightfire: please think of the kittens, Mazi
[2017/01/19 15:44] Jenna Felton: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers
[2017/01/19 15:44] Whirly Fizzle: Buuut you want people to test TPVs too because if you push to agni & break a TPV there will be screams  ;)
[2017/01/19 15:44] NOPE (margithe): maybe it's me lagging, but i have quite a few prims where the texture change didn't take
[2017/01/19 15:44] Jenna Felton: one of these or the official one?
[2017/01/19 15:44] NOPE (margithe): and some got just one face changed, despite changing by object
[2017/01/19 15:44] Whirly Fizzle: Everything ok for me so far on FS.
[2017/01/19 15:45] Mazidox Linden: I'll defer to Caleb on this one :)
[2017/01/19 15:45] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): whats the question?
[2017/01/19 15:45] Rex Cronon: and u want a different texture on each object side? do u want us to use a 256 linked object?
[2017/01/19 15:45] NOPE (margithe): hold on
[2017/01/19 15:45] Mazidox Linden: "Any kind of viewer will do"
[2017/01/19 15:45] Lucia Nightfire: this is new server code driven though right?
[2017/01/19 15:45] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): no new server code
[2017/01/19 15:45] Whirly Fizzle: A 256 link will always fail to apply the texture to some faces though
[2017/01/19 15:46] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): just the hardware serving up the textures
[2017/01/19 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: whispers: what does that depend on?
[2017/01/19 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: stupid shift
[2017/01/19 15:46] NOPE (margithe): yeah but it looks like it semi-fails. Screenshotting it
[2017/01/19 15:46] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): thanks
[2017/01/19 15:46] Rex Cronon: lol lucy that happens to me 2:)
[2017/01/19 15:46] Lucia Nightfire: so Caleb did you give us access to those sims?
[2017/01/19 15:47] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): TextureTest2H, allowed to Group Chat Test
[2017/01/19 15:47] Jonathan Yap: I think the test is to try to see textures that have never been put on a CDN yet
[2017/01/19 15:47] Lucia Nightfire: trying to render 10k unique textures would be a better test than me nickel and diming my own textures
[2017/01/19 15:47] NOPE (margithe): http://i.imgur.com/vmIXYsm.jpg
[2017/01/19 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: clear cache then go to those sims
[2017/01/19 15:48] NOPE (margithe): note the texture in the texture picker window
[2017/01/19 15:48] NOPE (margithe): and the actual texture on the box
[2017/01/19 15:48] Lucia Nightfire: what viewer is that?
[2017/01/19 15:49] NOPE (margithe): Thats firestorm, legacy skin
[2017/01/19 15:49] NOPE (margithe): and it *just* reverted
[2017/01/19 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: I don't recall seeing a "synch materials " checkbox anywhere before
[2017/01/19 15:49] Rex Cronon: imo this "test" could have been much better if u made a "little" script in the root prim of a 256 linked set and that would randomly put a texture on each side of every object each time u clicked on it:)
[2017/01/19 15:49] Whirly Fizzle: sync mats has been in the viewer right from the start of materials
[2017/01/19 15:49] Lucia Nightfire: then I'm blind, heh
[2017/01/19 15:49] Jonathan Yap: Caleb, are you wanting people to test new textures being sent out to CDNs?
[2017/01/19 15:50] Lucia Nightfire: lol, yup blind
[2017/01/19 15:50] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): that would be good, Jon
[2017/01/19 15:50] Jonathan Yap: So viewing existing textures is not the test?
[2017/01/19 15:50] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): it is too

[2017/01/19 15:51] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): we want to make sure that it is working as expected
[2017/01/19 15:51] Lucia Nightfire: texture organizers would be a good test object
[2017/01/19 15:51] Lucia Nightfire: for cycling textures
[2017/01/19 15:51] ShareBox: Textures being loading... Please standby. Do not add or share more just yet.
[2017/01/19 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: but still, texture test sim has thousands
[2017/01/19 15:52] Lucia Nightfire: I understand the part about uploading new textures though
[2017/01/19 15:54] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): who wants to be teleported to texturetest2h?
[2017/01/19 15:54] Duckie Dickins: me me
[2017/01/19 15:54] Whirly Fizzle: Yes please
[2017/01/19 15:56] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): you too margithe?
[2017/01/19 15:56] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): i can send you to texturetest2h
[2017/01/19 15:56] NOPE (margithe): i went there, it populated fine. But this cube still looks bugged
[2017/01/19 15:56] Caleb the Cable Guy (caleb.linden): oh ok
[2017/01/19 15:57] arton Rotaru: I see the cube textured correctly
[2017/01/19 15:57] arton Rotaru: at least it's another texture than the one below
[2017/01/19 15:58] Rex Cronon: does it make a difference if u change/set textures to things that are attached to u?
[2017/01/19 15:58] NOPE (margithe): Just before i teleported away, it changed in the edit window (reverted) and was the same both in edit window and on the cube. Now i came back, edited the cube- and i got a different texture on, and in edit

[2017/01/19 16:00] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): I was late..
[2017/01/19 16:00] Rex Cronon: hi yuzuru

[2017/01/19 16:00] Rex Cronon: np. u can read the log:)
[2017/01/19 16:01] Rex Cronon: and now the lindens have also started to provide the logs again:)
[2017/01/19 16:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Thank you, Rex.
[2017/01/19 16:01] Rex Cronon: u r welcome:)
[2017/01/19 16:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Caleb, I have one question.
[2017/01/19 16:01] NOPE (margithe): These two aren't loading
[2017/01/19 16:01] Rex Cronon: i g2g folks. tc and have fun:)
[2017/01/19 16:01] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): see you, Rex.
[2017/01/19 16:01] arton Rotaru: bye Rex
[2017/01/19 16:02] arton Rotaru: the 2 wooden cubes are still wodden to me
[2017/01/19 16:02] NOPE (margithe): they are just markers
[2017/01/19 16:02] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Mesh and Prim car bumps on prim road. they hops on the joint of it.
[2017/01/19 16:02] Yuzuru (yuzuru.jewell): Hello, Jenna..
[2017/01/19 16:02] Jenna Felton: yes for me also two boxes are off wood
[2017/01/19 16:03] NOPE (margithe): Copying them didn't force an update either
[2017/01/19 16:03] NOPE (margithe): lost cat is still not the texture it says it is
[2017/01/19 16:04] Jenna Felton: i have to go also. wish you good end of the week and see you in the next meeting :)
[2017/01/19 16:04] arton Rotaru: bye jenna
[2017/01/19 16:04] NOPE (margithe): lets see if it gets any better if i take it to inventory
