- [12:05] Aric Linden: let's get started, since Gigs has set us up for another possible record setting run
- [12:05] Aric Linden: first up is SVC-1073
- [12:06] Aric Linden: interesting problem
- [12:06] Aric Linden: I definitely think we should grab this one
- [12:06] Soft Linden: Sure, that function seems pointless if that's the case!
- [12:06] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:06] Aric Linden: Alexa, you can assign that one right to triage
- [12:06] Soft Linden: Or does it work after the rez callback completes?
- [12:06] Gigs Taggart: the function has two parts
- [12:06] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:06] Gigs Taggart: it's supposed to return the on_rez if there's no remoteload startup param
- [12:07] Gigs Taggart: it's not doing that
- [12:07] Gigs Taggart: I don't know if anyone has tested to see if it works with remoteload or not
- [12:07] Squirrel Wood: Ha. I know why I store the startup parameter in the objects desc before resetting the script
- [12:07] Aric Linden: why's that Squirrel?
- [12:08] Soft Linden: Anyway, yeah - that's an import, clear repro, everything you could want
- [12:08] Squirrel Wood: because of that bug
- [12:08] Aric Linden: agreed Soft
- [12:08] Squirrel Wood: though
- [12:08] Aric Linden: svc-1253
- [12:08] Squirrel Wood: I prefer to use the decs storage method
- [12:08] Aric Linden: let's simply grab this one and assign it directly to Sidewinder Linden please
- [12:08] Squirrel Wood: 1253 was mentioned in a blog post about h4
- [12:08] Soft Linden: SVC-1253 is definitely a regression. That'd kill combat sims
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:08] Squirrel Wood: I think
- [12:09] Gigs Taggart: 1253 may be fixed internally
- [12:09] Gigs Taggart: I remember reading about it too
- [12:09] Aric Linden: vwr-3282
- [12:09] Squirrel Wood: SVC-1189: Damage now affects sitting avatars (and a related rare case where the position of a damaging object was in a damage-enabled parcel but the avatar was not - in this case damage is no longer applied)
- [12:09] Squirrel Wood: that's from the blog post
- [12:09] Aric Linden: Gigs, I don't know if it's fixed yet or just acknowledged
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: 3282 happens every so often
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: I have pics of it on my friends avatar
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: not sure how or why
- [12:10] Squirrel Wood: 3282 I have actually witnessed
- [12:10] Squirrel Wood: along with some other people
- [12:11] Aric Linden: nice repro
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: we all saw the active speakers window as a cloth texture (shirt)
- [12:11] Raoul Lomu: i think it looks good. lol
- [12:11] Aric Linden: let's grab it for triage please
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: And yes! The texture on the shirt DID update
- [12:11] Aric Linden: vwr-2950
- [12:11] Soft Linden: 3282 has a repro in the first comment
- [12:12] Squirrel Wood: so I would assume a pointer pointing somewhere that it should not point to
- [12:12] Soft Linden: Didn't 2950 come up last week?
- [12:12] Gigs Taggart: a couple weeks ago, apparently
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: not that I recall specifically
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: ya
- [12:12] Soft Linden: At any rate, it was especially bad this weekend a while, while we were around peak concurrency
- [12:13] Soft Linden: I had one group triple-repeating, which was a new one for me.
- [12:13] Aric Linden: nice
- [12:13] Gigs Taggart: I had doubling
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: :O
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: same
- [12:13] Aric Linden: this one is actively being worked on internally right now
- [12:13] Gigs Taggart: associate with internal issue?
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: I usually can't start group chat sessions and...
- [12:13] Soft Linden: Ideally, yeah. Then at least we won't triage it again.
- [12:13] Aric Linden: ok
- [12:13] Aric Linden: thanks
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: I get error messages that messages could not be delivered AFTER those exact messages show up in chat
- [12:14] Aric Linden: vwr-3749 is next
- [12:14] Bridie Linden: out of order chat
- [12:14] Gigs Taggart: Squirrel I think you get that if it fails to deliver to even one agent in the group
- [12:14] Aric Linden: is jamming today
- [12:14] Squirrel Wood: ^^
- [12:14] Squirrel Wood: keep jamming .)
- [12:14] Aric Linden: is aiming to break the record and go way beyond
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: oh geesh!
- [12:14] Soft Linden: 3749 is already imported/pending
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: no warning???
- [12:14] Bridie Linden: I sense a challenge...
- [12:15] Aric Linden: grins at bridie
- [12:15] Gigs Taggart: soft no one tagged it with a linden id
- [12:15] Soft Linden: Ah!
- [12:15] Gigs Taggart: that's why it came up
- [12:15] Aric Linden: no way, I'm not a competitive triager
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: I'll check into this one
- [12:15] Aric Linden: well, mostly not
- [12:15] Aric Linden: thanks Alexa
- [12:16] Aric Linden: svc-1241
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Looks like Tofu didn't give it an internal ID, but it's checked into windlight12 at r75438 internally
- [12:16] Aric Linden: besides, we need beer to be competitive, right?
- [12:16] Gigs Taggart: heh import 1241, it was not only dead code but it had a bug in it too
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Alexa, you could put "windlight12" in for the issue ID
- [12:16] Gigs Taggart: it will be good to get rid of so no one uses it
- [12:16] Soft Linden: ...on VWR-3749
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:17] Aric Linden: Wow, I wonder how Strife really feels about the lscript_execute.cpp?
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:17] Aric Linden: it'd be really hardly to tell from comments here
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: a mystery!
- [12:17] Aric Linden: It looks as though Don Linden is working this one already.
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: I can import and assign to him
- [12:18] Soft Linden: It looks like Strife is creating these and assigning them directly to Don
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:18] Gigs Taggart: CASTRATION!
- [12:18] Soft Linden: I don't see a change where Don was assigned later.
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: that's what I was going to say
- [12:18] Aric Linden: for Strife?
- [12:18] Aric Linden: that's harsh, don't you think?
- [12:18] Gigs Taggart: well we are under threat of castration if we assign bugs :P
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: I quit!
- [12:18] Gigs Taggart: hehe
- [12:19] Soft Linden: At the very least - maybe a note for Strife that assigning them to a Linden himself is a good way to see the JIRA get lost
- [12:19] Gigs Taggart: that only applies to residents with assign powers :)
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:19] Aric Linden: wow. I had no idea.
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: do we still want to import?
- [12:19] Gigs Taggart: yeah
- [12:19] Aric Linden: nods
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:19] Aric Linden: sharpens his pocket knife
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: adding note then importing
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: O.o
- [12:19] Aric Linden: vwr-2859
- [12:19] Gigs Taggart: VWR-2859 is a feature request that he added himself to the triage.. up to you all whether to look at it.
- [12:19] Gigs Taggart: we normally don't do features here
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Yeah. Really, that should get a lot more votes as a feature request
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Before it's looked at
- [12:20] Aric Linden: Can we change it from bug to request?
- [12:20] Gigs Taggart: it is already feature request
- [12:20] Gigs Taggart: he just put it on the traige agenda manually
- [12:20] Aric Linden: yeah, I wonder how it got into the triage queue
- [12:20] Aric Linden: glances at Gigs
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: skip?
- [12:21] Gigs Taggart: it was already there when I started
- [12:21] Gigs Taggart: so I didn't get rid of it
- [12:21] Aric Linden: grins
- [12:21] Aric Linden: skip
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:22] tx Oh: ehoh
- [12:22] Aric Linden: and gigs, np. I really appeciate that you create the agenda
- [12:22] Gigs Taggart: well we do do features when they have patches
- [12:22] Aric Linden: I was just kidding around
- [12:22] Torrid Luna: hey^^ tx
- [12:22] Aric Linden: vwr-4195 is up next
- [12:23] Aric Linden: looks like a keeper.
- [12:23] Aric Linden: just perfect for triage, eh?
- [12:23] Soft Linden: Yup - 3rd comment down has the goods on that. It can really just be clearer wording in the dialog/settings.
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: as you wish
- [12:23] Soft Linden: Would take that in!
- [12:23] Aric Linden: web-473
- [12:23] Gigs Taggart: the web map API sucks all over
- [12:23] Aric Linden: man, we're cruising today
- [12:24] Gigs Taggart: I don't know how much you want to invest in fixing it
- [12:24] Aric Linden: Gigs, you think?
- [12:24] Gigs Taggart: I believe there's a project to replace it
- [12:24] Aric Linden: nods
- [12:24] Soft Linden: It looks like this may not be a bug though. As Yoz says, there really are many regions with that name
- [12:24] Aric Linden: and it looks as though Yoz is on top of this one
- [12:24] tx Oh: yes, the aw groupies work on a new map api, afaik
- [12:25] Soft Linden: Probably should be imported and assigned to Yoz though, just for tracking?
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: mark with last Triaged date?
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:25] Aric Linden: yes to both please
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: noted
- [12:25] Aric Linden: is on track to break the land speed record today
- [12:25] Gigs Taggart: I'll add more bugs to the agenda
- [12:25] Aric Linden: vwr-43-45
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: goof
- [12:26] Aric Linden: whoops
- [12:26] Bridie Linden: I think we should slow down, Aric...
- [12:26] Soft Linden: This one - there's also a problem when you're resizing window. The correct behavior is probably to always scroll to the bottom on resizing an output window
- [12:26] Bridie Linden: struggles for breath...
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: ya Bridie.... my head's spinning with this speed
- [12:26] Soft Linden: This could go to Rx, and I can add that as a comment
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: thanks Soft
- [12:27] Aric Linden: vwr-4345
- [12:27] Aric Linden: bacl
- [12:27] Aric Linden: back
- [12:27] Aric Linden: was stuck for a moment
- [12:27] Gigs Taggart: hmm
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: broke the spped record and see what happens???
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: speed*
- [12:27] Gigs Taggart: VWR-4344 picture looks valid
- [12:27] Aric Linden: nods sadly
- [12:27] Gigs Taggart: but Harleen can't reproduce
- [12:28] Gigs Taggart: I wonder if his XUI is corrupted somehow
- [12:28] Aric Linden: I use this all the time and have never seen this problem
- [12:28] Gigs Taggart: like wrong version
- [12:28] Soft Linden: I'd try clearing the cache on VWR-4344 and checking again. I wonder if we're not shipping the X graphic, and it needs to download once connected as a result.
- [12:28] Aric Linden: I bounce back and forth between shown and hidden names list constantly
- [12:28] Aric Linden: hmms
- [12:28] Gigs Taggart: lets put can't repro then
- [12:28] Gigs Taggart: and tell him to reinstall
- [12:29] Aric Linden: and add Softs suggestion as well, I think
- [12:29] Aric Linden: yeah?
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:29] Gigs Taggart: well it could be wrong XUI version
- [12:29] Gigs Taggart: only reinstall would fix that
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: to all of the above suggestions
- [12:29] Soft Linden: Could be multiple XUI widgets. Or as Gigs says
- [12:29] Soft Linden: Whee!
- [12:29] Aric Linden: hoorahs
- [12:29] Aric Linden: feedback rulez
- [12:29] Enus Linden: soft's note is accurate wrt manual resize, and i'm seeing it too now...
- [12:29] Aric Linden: vwr-4344 is next
- [12:30] Soft Linden: I thought we'd just done that
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: me too
- [12:30] Aric Linden: nope I thought we were doing 4345 last
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: vwr-4345 goes to Rx
- [12:31] Aric Linden: ok
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: that's what we had
- [12:31] Aric Linden: works for me. I must've been frozen
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: vwr-4344 reinstall and clear cashe and notes
- [12:31] Aric Linden: let's move along then
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: cashe*
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: cache**
- [12:31] Gigs Taggart: I'm sad the snapshot system is so broken now, my patch that enhanced it is surely rotten and will need to be rewritten :(
- [12:31] Aric Linden: vwr-4323?
- [12:31] Gigs Taggart: yes
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: ya I saw this kind of problem this weekend
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: tried to take a postcard pic in windlight
- [12:32] Soft Linden: I haven't seen this myself in some time. Is it only happening to Mac people?
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: if it's the cropping bug, no
- [12:33] Soft Linden: Naw, the missing/blackened polys in the background
- [12:33] Aric Linden: Let's take this one and assign it to Pastrami
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:33] Soft Linden: Open both pictures in tabs and cycle back and forth between them to see. It's subtle
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: noted
- [12:34] Soft Linden: It's mostly in the viewer's upper left
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: ahhh ok
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: see it
- [12:34] Aric Linden: vwr-4304 is next
- [12:35] Soft Linden: This is on a Pentium 4. The problem is almost certainly bad radio tubes.
- [12:35] Aric Linden: Is this windlight?
- [12:35] Harleen Gretzky: lmao
- [12:36] Gigs Taggart: this looks valid anyway
- [12:36] Harleen Gretzky: says 1.18.5(3)
- [12:37] Aric Linden: I think windlight handles this differently thank does the main branch
- [12:37] Soft Linden: At the very least, someone in Windlight should see the forum discussion linked
- [12:37] Aric Linden: yes, I agree
- [12:37] Soft Linden: Just in case that should be on their radar
- [12:37] Aric Linden: runitai would be interested in this
- [12:38] Aric Linden: I think we should import it and assign it to him as an FYI
- [12:38] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:38] Aric Linden: vwr-3362
- [12:39] Soft Linden: The confirmations on this are all old. The last comment says its fixed
- [12:39] Aric Linden: I'm pretty sure this one IS fixed, as noted in the final comment
- [12:39] Aric Linden: jinx
- [12:39] Squirrel Wood: 3362 - invisible avatars are easy to repro at skyboxes that are above 700m
- [12:39] Soft Linden: Can't repro, ask for someone to reopen if it's still happening?
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:40] Aric Linden: Squirrel, 700m is above the supported limit
- [12:40] Gigs Taggart: what?
- [12:40] Aric Linden: We just had this conversation in a meeting earlier today, Because Havok4 wants to change the limit boundaries
- [12:41] Gigs Taggart: the limit in havok 4 is 1024!
- [12:41] Aric Linden: yes
- [12:41] Squirrel Wood: 768m is the current limit methinks
- [12:41] Raoul Lomu: wasnt it 768
- [12:41] Raoul Lomu: yes. it is
- [12:41] Aric Linden: that's what they're proposing
- [12:41] Gigs Taggart: it's 768/4096 now
- [12:41] Aric Linden: ahh, the person in the meeting said 700
- [12:41] Aric Linden: sorry
- [12:41] Gigs Taggart: 768 for building and 4096 for physical objects now
- [12:41] Gigs Taggart: in havok4 there's only one limit
- [12:42] tx Oh: yepp
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: I get invisible avatars all the time in that skybox.... whether I fly up or TP there doesn't matter
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: some people are visible, others not. untill they sit down.
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: is someone's mic open?
- [12:43] Aric Linden: shall we go on?
- [12:43] Chilli Cao: its seems its me but lol im not doign anything
- [12:43] Enus Linden: raoul is on
- [12:43] Gigs Taggart: SVC-1248 I reproduced with the targetomega objects on bug island on the beta grid.
- [12:43] Gigs Taggart: the rotating flexi carosel in the corner
- [12:43] Aric Linden: Gigs: do you have steps for that?
- [12:43] Gigs Taggart: right clicking them slows or reverses their rotation
- [12:44] Gigs Taggart: just right click the spinning circle of flexi prims to see it
- [12:44] Aric Linden: did the steps in the bug repro?
- [12:44] Gigs Taggart: I haven't done those steps, I just noticed it myself separately on bug island
- [12:44] Aric Linden: ahh
- [12:44] Aric Linden: as Soft points out, the script would be nice
- [12:44] Squirrel Wood: wb Alexa
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: thanks
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: what I miss?
- [12:45] Aric Linden: Alexa: you missed me speaking blather
- [12:45] Aric Linden: it was pretty exciting I think
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: yay!
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: we on 1248?
- [12:45] Gigs Taggart: I posted a tip on how to see it on bug island
- [12:45] Aric Linden: ok
- [12:45] Aric Linden: Soft, if we need a script for it, I can have one of the QA'ers write it
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: votes for importing...
- [12:46] Aric Linden: Let's take it in
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: triage?
- [12:46] Gigs Taggart: well like I said whatever script is in the circle thing on bug island works fine
- [12:46] Gigs Taggart: those tests on bug islands need signs for names :P
- [12:46] Aric Linden: vwr-4351 is next
- [12:47] Soft Linden: This looks like it'd go straight to Windlight
- [12:48] Squirrel Wood: could it be that this particular card slipped into the wrong part of the compatibility list ?
- [12:48] Soft Linden: Sure sounds like the x1950 got incorrectly reclassified as a less-capable card.
- [12:48] Aric Linden: yes. I think so too
- [12:48] Soft Linden: Yeah.
- [12:48] Aric Linden: point it at pastrami please
- [12:48] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:48] Aric Linden: vwr-4240
- [12:49] Squirrel Wood: mac bug
- [12:49] Aric Linden: Yes. I'd like to know what OSX version was being run
- [12:49] Aric Linden: got it
- [12:49] WendyOfNeverland Fussbudget: gave you Trees - Strawberry's World, prodigiosus II (179, 21, 20).
- [12:49] Aric Linden: 10.4.11
- [12:50] Aric Linden: I think that's panther. I'll have to check
- [12:50] Soft Linden: 10.4 is Tiger.
- [12:50] Enus Linden: rawr
- [12:50] Squirrel Wood: OMy
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:51] Aric Linden: hmmm
- [12:51] Aric Linden: interesting
- [12:51] Soft Linden: Something with a G4/G5 and a 64mb graphics card. Ouch :(
- [12:51] Aric Linden: yeah, it's ppc
- [12:51] Soft Linden: Should be supported.
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Maybe this should go to support so they can walk through a full reinstall
- [12:52] Aric Linden: hmm. I've done this on my mac at home and not had a problem.
- [12:52] Raoul Lomu: hmm
- [12:52] Soft Linden: You'd expect a bunch of me-too comments if this were happening to everyone with a similar machine.
- [12:52] Aric Linden: is running a g5
- [12:53] Squirrel Wood: I found a nice "bug" regarding camera and zoom in the windlight client though I have yet to reproduce it... [1]
- [12:53] Aric Linden: nods at Soft
- [12:53] Squirrel Wood: eep
- [12:53] Soft Linden: Support for this one?
- [12:53] Aric Linden: I guess so.
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:54] Aric Linden: are they set up for this?
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: I'll put support info/link
- [12:54] Aric Linden: Alexa, please let them know they can ping me if need be
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:54] Soft Linden: I think they'd walk through a reinstall, pulling out all the preference files, cache, etc
- [12:54] Aric Linden: Soft, does it appear that memory is getting stepped on?
- [12:54] Aric Linden: is that what the EXC_BAD_ACCESS is?
- [12:55] Soft Linden: It can mean an attempt to stomp data, or to send execution to a bogus location
- [12:55] Soft Linden: Uuuuusually that means something stepped on memory on the stack. Not always, though.
- [12:56] Aric Linden: I see
- [12:56] Aric Linden: I wonder if something went wonky in the initial quicktime update
- [12:56] Aric Linden: and that caused badness to remain on the machine?
- [12:56] Soft Linden: But again - something like 1% of SL is using this configuration. More than one person would be complaining if this were the norm for quicktime with Tiger on a G4/G5.
- [12:57] Aric Linden: Exactly. i'm on this config and I did this update
- [12:57] Aric Linden: and recently updated SL on said machine
- [12:57] Aric Linden: and haven't had a problem
- [12:57] Soft Linden: With Windlight, Aric?
- [12:57] Aric Linden: But sometimes the apple updater doesn't finish updating properly. it leaves install turds floating around
- [12:58] Aric Linden: I don't remember if it was WL or the RC
- [12:58] Aric Linden: I KNOW i just installed WL onto my Mac PB at work though
- [12:58] Aric Linden: without an issue
- [12:58] Aric Linden: I'd put money on the update got stalled and left turds in the punchbowl
- [12:59] Aric Linden: and something is wonky in memory.
- [12:59] Aric Linden: but that's just me...
- [12:59] Soft Linden: I have to jet for 1pm!
- [12:59] Aric Linden: moi aussi
- [12:59] Aric Linden: Let's just give the last one to Pastrami
- [12:59] Alexa Linden: bridie can you send me trascripts?
- [12:59] Aric Linden: vwr-4354
- [12:59] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:59] Aric Linden: I'll mention it to him as well.
- [13:00] Bridie Linden: nods
- [13:00] tx Oh: may i ask a off topic?
