- [2:34] Louise Linden: OK so we'll get started
- [2:34] Louise Linden: first up is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13382
- [2:34] Louise Linden: Vanishing Regions/Sims
- [2:34] Davy Linden: [1]
- [2:35] Davy Linden: this looks like a SV issue to m
- [2:35] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: I ectually reported the same thign to the Doc team back then
- [2:35] Davy Linden: SVC*
- [2:35] Louise Linden: yeah, it doesn't strike me as viewer specific
- [2:36] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: there were attacks according to them, they had called in Zara Linden so far i know to see whats going on
- [2:36] Davy Linden: move to SVC?
- [2:36] Shoopin Viper: thats not viewer related
- [2:36] Ludmilia Zapedzki: yes, I agree
- [2:36] Louise Linden: yes please davy
- [2:36] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: the result was probably DDOS attacks
- [2:36] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: that's what Kate and Torley told me atleast
- [2:37] Qie Niangao: ummm... this reads like the sims are perfectly healthy but the viewer doesn't know
- [2:37] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: the Doc team meeting and Kate's meeting were completely gone thanks to that stuff
- [2:37] Lares Carter: i have seen vanishing sims before
- [2:37] Skills Hak: i think i nnoticed that too
- [2:37] Lares Carter: like a week ago, all neighbouring regions disappeared
- [2:37] Skills Hak: when you would cross a border you have negative coordinates
- [2:37] Louise Linden: OK so we'll move that to Server issue so the right tem can take a look
- [2:38] Lares Carter: and after about an hour they reappearer
- [2:38] Skills Hak: the sim isnt visible but you can cross the border
- [2:38] Skills Hak: you stay in the first region though
- [2:38] Shoopin Viper: thats a handoff problem as well
- [2:39] Louise Linden: ok so moving on to a viewer issue: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13721
- [2:39] Louise Linden: No Shadows rendered in snapshot preview or saved snapshots
- [2:39] Skills Hak: i think i saw another jira about that
- [2:40] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: looks like the JIRA where body parts are partially/whole invisible
- [2:40] Shoopin Viper: that one is viewer related i think
- [2:40] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: Bambers Linden also took that one in, i have a feeling its the same bug issue
- [2:40] Shoopin Viper: i get that one all the time
- [2:40] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: might be worth taking a look at
- [2:40] Louise Linden: shadows are a new feature, i believe this one has already been linked to the shadows mate issue
- [2:41] Davy Linden: I'll look for duplicates and link appropriately if I find one?
- [2:41] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: so far I been told it was a minor bug that was both in the viewer (1.23.1) and the server
- [2:41] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: I can try to dupe
- [2:42] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i get the same result with invisible body parts when I use tattoo's
- [2:42] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i have a feeling it might do the same with shadows
- [2:42] Shoopin Viper: my leg is gone now
- [2:42] Louise Linden: quite possibly, Shadows are still being worked on, and not completely supported yet
- [2:42] Louise Linden: I'm not sure if it's related to body parts though
- [2:42] Davy Linden: I don't think it is
- [2:43] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: rendering more likely
- [2:43] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: but its worth trying
- [2:43] Louise Linden: Davy, take a look at the shadow meta issue and see if there are any dupes if not leave as is
- [2:43] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: better to exclude it by testing then not knowing for sure
- [2:43] Davy Linden: ok
- [2:44] Louise Linden: next up is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13278
- [2:44] Louise Linden: gstreamer - "Stream contains no data." error for videos/movies
- [2:44] Louise Linden: i think this one NMI
- [2:45] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: sounds like drivers need to be updated,
- [2:45] Louise Linden: one reports states 1.22, and the other is missing viewer info
- [2:45] Skills Hak: i believe i saw a related jira with patch
- [2:45] Skills Hak: but nmi
- [2:46] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: think it might help to try on the new RC and see if it occures there aswell, just to be sure.
- [2:46] Davy Linden: ask if it still repros on latest rc / step by step instructions?
- [2:46] Louise Linden: Davy, can you ask them tp update drivers, if they still see it to log thier FULL system info
- [2:46] Davy Linden: ok
- [2:46] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: besides that, would not hurt to install latest drivers
- [2:46] Louise Linden: ta!
- [2:46] Qie Niangao: yeah, I'd suggest finding out whether it's all media streams, or a particular format (plugin)
- [2:46] Ludmilia Zapedzki: A friend had this issue with the latest viewer as well
- [2:47] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: knowing which stream it is might help aswell yeah
- [2:47] Louise Linden: yes agreed
- [2:47] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: could be the stream itself, send the person(s) to Torley's island and let them try there
- [2:47] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: enough vids there to test
- [2:48] Louise Linden: yup
- [2:48] Louise Linden: so next appears to be another shadows issue https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13372
- [2:48] Louise Linden: Alpha textures flicker and vanish with shadows enabled
- [2:48] Louise Linden: we had asked for more infor a few weeks ago, which we now have
- [2:49] Davy Linden: last tim we saw this, I asked for more environment info... we seem to have that
- [2:49] Louise Linden: yes quiet a few of them
- [2:50] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: sounds like graphical issues, driver update may solve it. When i first had this pc i had the same problem
- [2:50] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: update for drivers solved it
- [2:50] Louise Linden: I believe some people have tried updating and are still seeing the issue
- [2:50] Louise Linden: I think we should import this one and go investigate
- [2:51] Davy Linden: ok
- [2:51] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: did they try to empty the cache and a clean install?
- [2:51] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: hi DMC
- [2:52] DMC Zsigmond: hi a little late
- [2:52] Louise Linden: no worries
- [2:52] Louise Linden: moving on we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12985
- [2:52] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: your welcome here anyways :) no worries :)
- [2:52] Louise Linden: You can open IM window to objects
- [2:53] Skills Hak: thats silly haha
- [2:53] Louise Linden: looks like we've all just repro's that one!
- [2:54] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: lmao, its funny
- [2:54] Davy Linden: import for triage?
- [2:54] Louise Linden: not sure that the most 'useful' feature...
- [2:54] Louise Linden: yes please davy!
- [2:54] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: thing that needs to be checked out
- [2:54] Skills Hak: indeed :)
- [2:54] Skills Hak: lindens in god mode shouldnt show up there either
- [2:54] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [2:55] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i can not dupe it
- [2:55] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: im on the latest nightly
- [2:56] Louise Linden: ok so next is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8438
- [2:56] Louise Linden: while opening a few purchases the folders went above the "my inventory" line and they cant be moved, when I try I crash
- [2:56] Louise Linden: This is an old bug :(
- [2:56] Skills Hak: yes happened to me many times
- [2:57] Louise Linden: I believe I;ve seen this in our interbal jira recently
- [2:57] Skills Hak: inventory is a very nasty piece of code
- [2:57] Louise Linden: *internal
- [2:57] Louise Linden: Davy can we track that down and link them up so people know we're working on it?
- [2:57] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: this person needs to get the latest RC and try it again, if it still happens, we got more info about it
- [2:57] Davy Linden: kk
- [2:57] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: 1.20 is obsolete now :(
- [2:57] Skills Hak: it happened on 1.23 too
- [2:58] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: which 1.23?
- [2:58] Ludmilia Zapedzki: can be related with the empty folder you can't delete, in the inventory
- [2:58] Louise Linden: yeah, we're aware this one still keeps popping up, it's already being looked into, so we'll mark it as such
- [2:58] Ludmilia Zapedzki: ?
- [2:59] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: agreed Louise
- [3:00] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: ow, look at first comment, i quote "Typically clearing cache will fix this, "
- [3:00] Skills Hak: yes it does
- [3:00] Louise Linden: next is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10690
- [3:00] Louise Linden: shouts: Windowed SL. maximizing window lets HUD objects go partially offscreen
- [3:01] Skills Hak: i think thats related to the ratio
- [3:01] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: I noticed the same with 1.23 (any), snowglobe and any nightly
- [3:01] Louise Linden: hmm didn't mean to 'shout' that!
- [3:02] Louise Linden: youri, could you add a comment to that to say you're having the same issue and add your system info please?
- [3:02] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: I did not think much of it tho, i dont use full screen besides testing purpuses
- [3:02] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: ill do that right away
- [3:02] Qie Niangao: well, this isn't full-screen mode, right? it's maximized window?
- [3:03] Skills Hak: happens on both modes
- [3:03] Skills Hak: i have another screen rotated by 90
- [3:03] Skills Hak: and when the window is higher than wide the huds are stretched in an odd way
- [3:03] Qie Niangao: I'm liking the suggestion that it may be related to the aspect ratio of the window (or screen, I guess)
- [3:04] Skills Hak: but their positions dont move so i would almost say this is expected behaviour
- [3:04] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: posted
- [3:05] Louise Linden: thanks
- [3:05] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: np
- [3:05] Louise Linden: I think this one should be imported to QA so we can go and take a look
- [3:05] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: good idea
- [3:05] Davy Linden: ok
- [3:05] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: we all could use a lot more info on that one
- [3:06] Louise Linden: yup we'll go and investigate and see if that's intentional or a legit bug
- [3:06] Louise Linden: so next we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12905
- [3:06] Louise Linden: shouts: Simulator's Type isn't visible in the "My land" section
- [3:06] Louise Linden: hmm I think I tested the fix for that, it should be in RC3 I think
- [3:06] Skills Hak: yes
- [3:07] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: server bug?
- [3:07] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: could be as simple as that
- [3:07] Louise Linden: server and viewer, but it's been fixed already
- [3:07] Davy Linden: if it's fixed already, I can link to the existing bug
- [3:07] Louise Linden: please, then mark as fixed
- [3:08] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: clear cache, then it should be all done then.
- [3:08] Louise Linden: Youri, this was am actual bug
- [3:08] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i know, dont worry :)
- [3:09] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: been marked as fixed in last comment aswell
- [3:09] Louise Linden: next up: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12976
- [3:09] Louise Linden: 1.23 search wont save adult settings on any tab but events
- [3:09] Louise Linden: looks like Dessie linden has tried and failed to repro this one already
- [3:10] Louise Linden: Ask the reported to check against latest build?
- [3:11] Davy Linden: ok
- [3:11] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: trying to dupe it
- [3:11] Louise Linden: it was reported against RC0 so might not still be an issue
- [3:11] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: ill try to dupe it after this meeting
- [3:11] Qie Niangao: that "still happens" as of 20 May might be a newer version
- [3:11] Louise Linden: ok, if you manage can you add to the report please?
- [3:12] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i got about 4 different official viewers
- [3:12] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i will
- [3:12] Ludmilia Zapedzki: I'll try too
- [3:13] Louise Linden: Youri, the ones we're really looking for a repro in are the official RC (RC3) the most recent PN or the official release 1.22.11
- [3:13] Louise Linden: don't worry about others for now
- [3:13] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: okay, ill get the 1.21 updated to 1.23RC
- [3:14] Louise Linden: cool
- [3:14] Louise Linden: next we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13070
- [3:14] Louise Linden: Communicate window
- [3:15] Louise Linden: I'm not sure what the issue is here. If they don't have voice enabled then they won't see anyone in that window
- [3:15] Skills Hak: expected behaviour i guess?
- [3:15] Louise Linden: yes i think so
- [3:15] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: should be espected
- [3:15] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: should not play up by default
- [3:16] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i like to know the question about the double soundcards aswell tho
- [3:16] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: in that case, no wonder
- [3:17] Qie Niangao: oh hmmm... I'm not sure that's the problem. Seems they may be saying that they don't see just their own name in the list?
- [3:18] Skills Hak: my name shows with voice off too
- [3:18] Louise Linden: yeah, the bug report isn;t very clear as to the specific issue
- [3:18] Skills Hak: even when im alone
- [3:18] Davy Linden: that's how I read it, Qie
- [3:18] Skills Hak: i think the actual bug is, that sometimes there doesnt show any name at all
- [3:18] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: ah okay, then i misunderstood in that case
- [3:19] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: still... 2 soundcards may be a problem
- [3:19] Louise Linden: maybe NMI, and ask for clarification as to what exactly they are reporting
- [3:19] Davy Linden: ok
- [3:19] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: agreed
- [3:20] Louise Linden: next up is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13090
- [3:20] Louise Linden: Viewer occasionally switches texture and sculpt map info
- [3:20] Louise Linden: looks like the reported hasn't seen this in a while
- [3:21] Davy Linden: NMI / try RC3?
- [3:21] Skills Hak: could be corrupted cache
- [3:21] Louise Linden: I'm not sure it even needs that
- [3:21] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: clear cache and try RC3
- [3:21] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: save to say i guess
- [3:22] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: perhaps even clean install
- [3:22] Louise Linden: she hasn't been able to see it since she reported it, so i think maybe close it, but leave a comment to repopen if it's seen in RC3+
- [3:22] Davy Linden: ok I'll mark as CNR
- [3:22] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: Q&A just in case for RC3
- [3:23] Louise Linden: next is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13174
- [3:23] Louise Linden: Unable to Open a Conference Chat to my Calling Card Folder
- [3:23] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: perhaps there are more peopel that seen it happen
- [3:24] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i just duped that one, happens to me aswell
- [3:24] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: unable to get group converance window
- [3:25] Skills Hak: well if you select offline CCs you cant
- [3:25] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: second try just now with 2 persons, does work now
- [3:25] Skills Hak: if all the selected items are online you should be able to start it
- [3:25] Skills Hak: they must have had an offline one in the selection maybe
- [3:25] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: 3th try also no fail
- [3:26] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i know what can and can not be done Skills ;)
- [3:26] Louise Linden: I think the issue being reported it that you can't right click on the top level of your calling cards folder and start a conference call,
- [3:26] Louise Linden: but that you can only do it to sub folders
- [3:27] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: i think however Skills has a point, this person might have tried on all people instead of only the online ones
- [3:27] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: think asking this could help out
- [3:28] Louise Linden: I don't think thats the issue they are reporting
- [3:28] Louise Linden: teh option to start a conference call from the calling cards top level folder has gone in 1.23 (from 1,22)
- [3:29] Louise Linden: I'm unsure if that's an intentional change though
- [3:29] Qie Niangao: Right: this seems like an error, unless somebody wants to explain why it's a feature.
- [3:29] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: any suggestions then?
- [3:29] Louise Linden: Davy can we go and take a look at the release note and investigate
- [3:29] Davy Linden: will do
- [3:30] Louise Linden: it's either a bug, or a change that wasn't documented in the knowledge base yet
- [3:30] Louise Linden: right guys and girls (and robots!) times up!
- [3:30] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: lol
- [3:30] Davy Linden: thanks all
- [3:30] Tree Kyomoonri: Ashton: awws, too bad
- [3:30] Louise Linden: Thanks so much for turning up
