Second Life is an International Community- it's a virtual world accessible by anyone with a computer that meets the minimum system requirements and has a relatively decent internet connection. As such, the ranges of languages spoken by Residents is quite large, and it can be difficult for a non-english speaker to find like-minded people to speak to.

If you would like to let everyone know what languages you speak (or at the very best, can type), please edit your User page- which can be found via the link at the top of the page that matches your name after you've logged in- and indicate this by using the Languages Spoken template.
