The community tools user group exists to discuss and facilitate Resident involvement with:

  • The Second Life Wiki
  • Knowledge Base
  • Blogs
  • Forums
  • Second Life Answers

We'll answer any questions and try to address any concerns with these resources.

Every Thursday at 1pm PT at CTUG meeting spot in Beaumont.

Agenda

Agenda for the next user group meeting is:

  • Update on Forums/Blogs (Raymond/Lexie)
  • Update on SL Answers (Lexie)
  • Update on Knowledge Base (Rand)
  • Update on Adult and LGBT Private Forums (Amanda for Venus/Dogwomble)
  • Update on evening mods (Raymond/Amanda)
  • Community Adds:
    • Can links be added on the community platform for "global" new threads, new posts, etc.? Right now, residents need to know about off-the-path places like Community hidden links to find them. (Dresden Ceriano, in this forum post)
  • Addition of New Products forum as per http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Community-Feedback/New-Products-Forum/m-p/813779 (Peewee)
  • "When a community tool that's a new feature request for the SL viewer, where should one go to? " (Marianne)

Community tools team

Several Lindens are involved in facilitating community information tools:

Documentation team

The documentation team is Rand Linden, Jeremy Linden, and Bea Linden. The doc team's focus is on the Knowledge Base, wiki, and Viewer context-sensitive help.
