The community tools user group exists to discuss and facilitate Resident involvement with:

  • The Second Life Wiki
  • Knowledge Base
  • Blogs
  • Forums
  • Second Life Answers

We'll answer any questions and try to address any concerns with these resources.

Schedule

Every Thursday at 1pm PT at CTUG meeting spot in Beaumont.

Also see the calendar of public user group meetings.

Agenda

Agenda for the next user group meeting is:

  • Linden Updates:
    • Update on Forums/Blogs (Raymond/Lexie/Amanda)
    • Update on SL Answers (Lexie)
    • Update on Knowledge Base (Rand/Jeremy)
  • Resi Adds:
    • "to block 'buy/sell land and commerce threads' from appearing in 'Recently Created Threads', a forum is a place to discuss topics not to be used for SPAM" (wildcat furse)
    • When not logged in on secondlife.com, the link for Help->Resources For New Users should probably point to a more useful page than http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/bg-p/blog_feature_news (When logged in it points to a different page. (Thanks Peewee for pointing that out.)) (Luc Starsider)
    • Where is the preferred place for putting bug reports and/or feature requests for the community? User group, community forum, jira or what? (Sorry if this has been talked about before.) (Luc Starsider)
    • Forum consolidation ideas from residents (Venus and anyone else who wishes to contribute) Link to OP here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Forums-Blogs-Answers-and/Forum-Consolidation/m-p/876807#M3978
    • Other Suggestions? Add 'em here.
  • General Discussion/Brainstorm:
    • Poll suggestions (fun!)
    • Continued discussion: What is desirable in a hub?
