OTHER PROJECTS

  • Turkish community translation: CT-88 and VWR-2710. Thank you to Vixen Heron for leadership here!
  • Polish community translation projects: see here. We appreciate all the hard work by maciek marksman, Magnus Balczo and Malwina Dollinger for great contribution here!
  • Hungarian community translation: CT-85 and VWR-5733. Many thanks to Princess Niven for leadership with this language!
  • You will also see in JIRA that we have opened Simplified Chinese and Czech translations. Geneko Nemeth and Jarek Dejavu lead these efforts, respectively, and have been working on strings offline on the entire viewer xml.
  • Russian and Ukrainian have also been added since the full viewer xml was submitted by Ian Kas and his Second Life Team. Here is the first JIRA for the project: VWR-8780. We had to fix issues that were causing that font not be displayed properly. The translation is now submitted to the translation branch and we look forward to having it live with 1.23.
  • Viewer internationalization test plan compiling JIRA is CT-81. The test is still open for contributions. Please, feel free to contribute!!! (the JIRA was started with the French community but I urge anyone with knowledge of the Japanese, German, Chinese, Spanish viewer or languages like: Polish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Hungarian, Turkish, to help us!!! Thank you in advance!!!
  • Thank you to all who helped localize Linden Prize pages into German CT-90 and French CT-92

  • We are constantly collecting ad-hoc translations for Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Dutch from our wonderful residents. So far, we got great support localizing login screen strings, Registration strings, the new viewer browser tutorial. If you speak these languages and want to do some translation work, please, contact us: Danica Linden and Lexie Linden would love to hear from you. :)
