  1. Go to Edit > Preferences.
  2. Click Graphics tab and check Custom to show additional options.
  3. Uncheck Hardware Skinning.
  4. Click OK" button to confirm, and see if that resolves the issue. You may also need to restart the Second Life Viewer.

If there are still odd stripes, lines, or other glitches on your avatar, try rebaking textures.
