Template:KB Getting Started The Second Life® Viewer is available in Windows, Mac and Linux (Beta) versions. Get the newest supported Viewer and test versions from the Downloads page.

Follow these steps to download and install the Second Life Viewer on your Mac computer:

  1. Go to the Viewer download page. It will automatically recognize that you're on a Mac.
  2. Click DOWNLOAD NOW. You'll be prompted to to save the file. The Mac default (in Safari and Firefox) will automatically mount the disk image (.dmg) after it's downloaded. If that doesn't happen, find the disk image, then double-click it.
  3. As shown below, drag Second Life to the Applications folder shortcut.
  4. Double-click the Applications folder.
  5. Double-click Second Life to enter your Second Life name and login.

Optionally, you can eject "Second Life Installer" and delete the disk image when you're done.
