You may find that you need to select every object you own on a parcel of land; you may be moving your home, searching for something you lost, or deleting a massive distributed build. This process is relatively easy, and need not be limited to a single land parcel!

To select only your own objects:

# Go into Edit Mode by clicking the Build button or by pressing Ctrl + 3.
# Make sure Tools > Select Only My Objects is checked.
# (Optional) Disable camera constraints and limited select distance in order to increase the range of your selection
#* Activate the Advanced menu by pressing Ctrl+Alt+D
#* Enable Advanced > Disable Camera Constraints
#* Disable Advanced > Limit Select Distance
#*
# Zoom out until you can see the entire area you would like to select. You should probably increase your draw distance in the Preferences window to make sure you can see far-away objects.
# Click and drag on your screen to select an area. Because you have Select Only My Objects enabled, this action selects only the objects that you own inside your selection area.

If you are using this method to take a copy of your objects, all of your selected objects must be copyable.

{{KBhint| Tip: Make sure you uncheck Tools > Select Only My Objects after you're done. If you leave it checked, you won't be able to select any objects you don't own!

Suggestions when using this feature:
# Test this feature to become comfortable with how it works before collecting your complete build.
# Maximize your draw distance to be able to select as many objects as possible. (Reminder: Set your draw distance back to your preferred setting when you are finished.)
# Objects selected and taken into inventory appear as a coalesced object. The objects retain their coordinate relationship to each other, so be sure to have enough sqm of land to rez the file again.
# This article explains 'how to' select and drag content. Limits regarding coalesced objects still apply. Staying current with reports on our Issue Tracker for any feature used with important content is good practice.
