Eligibility

Any accredited educational institution or organization with a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit tax status is eligible for a discount. In order to confirm eligibility, you must send the following to education@lindenlab.com or nonprofit@lindenlab.com (whichever is applicable):

  • Proof of educational accreditation, 501(c)(3) status or similar document; and
  • Government-issued photo ID


Organizations with verified eligibility will receive a discount subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein (each a “Participating Organization”). In the event that any conduct in violation of these terms and conditions (whether by you or someone else on the Discounted Regions, as defined below) is discovered or reported, the Discount (as defined below) shall be forfeited and you shall be required to remit payment to Linden Lab in the amount of the difference between the then-current applicable fees and the fees actually paid.

Pricing

50% off discount on private region set-up costs and private region maintenance costs. This applies to full regions, homesteads and open spaces

Invoicing

Education & non-profits are also eligible for invoicing of the private region costs. Invoices must include a minimum of 6 months of maintenance. Additional details can be found at http://specialorders.secondlife.com/

Budget Cycles

Linden Lab appreciates that educational and nonprofit organizations' budget cycles may be different from other customers', and we are happy to work with participating organizations to arrange for invoicing within these parameters.
