This feature can be useful to Second Life business owners, socialites, or anyone else who needs to be able to respond to IMs when they wouldn't otherwise be able to login.

If you reply via email to an IM, it sends an IM back to the original sender. You'll still receive the forwarded IMs inworld (up to 25 because of a technical limit) the next time you login, but you won't see any replies you've made via email.
