Open source meeting - Tuesday and Thursday, 2pm PDT

Teleport to the Linden Open Source Project headquarters.

Please try to add your items as early as possible in the week to give Merov a chance to round up any Lindens that may be appropriate to the discussion. Please also bring large or contentious items up on OpenSource-Dev before or concurrently with adding them as agenda items.

Agendas for upcoming meetings

KBnote.png Note: See this page's history for past agendas. Some transcript subpages might include the respective agendas, too.

Agenda Tuesday, 27 July 2010

  1. Weekly Snowglobe update - Merov Linden
  2. Left over topics from Thursday:
  3. VWR-20340 See comments in jira.
  4. Tester needed for SNOW-659 on MacOS: do fast timers work correctly?
  5. Can 1.4 be released this week please?
  6. Your topic here!

If we run out of topics before the end of the meeting, we'll triage Snowglobe or Open Source specific Jira Issues from the list below.

Agenda Thursday, 29 July 2010

  1. Weekly Snowglobe update - Merov Linden
  2. What is the policy on putting new builds (both branch and trunk) on the wiki? I suggest we should put new builds up very often, unless there is are known severe bugs. To find bugs we need users, and the number of people who are following the mailing lists is not big enough. --Thickbrick
    • A sub question is, should we leave doing these updates to Merov, or is this fair game?
  3. Suggestion for prettifying the Snowglobe page and making the right downloads easier to find for non-technical users. Ok to make this change to the page (and included templates)? --Thickbrick
  4. Currently there is not an easy way to tell what commit

applies to what code base. It would be nice to have the 3 trunks identified in some fashion rather than sharing a sequential commit number. Thoughts? --Jonathan Yap

  1. Your topic here!

If we run out of topics before the end of the meeting, we'll triage Snowglobe or Open Source specific Jira Issues from the list below.

Jira Issues

  1. After discussion, r3349 was reverted. Do these still need discussion (e.g. for viewer-external)?:
    1. SNOW-650 Tries to build pulseaudio when pulseaudio not found.
    2. SNOW-658 Notifier Issue Since [sldev-commits] r3349
  2. SNOW-619 (Robin Cornelius)
  3. SNOW-713 Make libllcommon shared for SLPlugin + plugins on 1.4
  4. SNOW-596 Ready to commit (Aleric Inglewood)
  5. SNOW-593 idem
  6. Unscheduled SNOW issues triage: would be good to go with the community through those and decide for some what we should take immediately (2.0 or 1.4) or later.

If you think an issue warrants a deeper discussion, please add it as topic to one of the agendas above.

Test Sprint
