This is a Thankless Task but Highly Satisfying. The moderators work with Hunter Benazzi, Sitearm Madonna, and Glenn Linden, AND the Contributors, and keep the pages sorted in usable overall order and content. Moderator efforts will be criticized by Opinionators (see below) either deliberately or inadvertantly. However, Moderators are paid ten times as much as Contributors (ten times nothing).
Moderators work with Orange Planer and Contributors to keep the pages sorted in usable overall order and content.

The User says, "Thank goodness for this material I can use it, or ideas I get from it, imMEdiately in my school / business / self education program etc." and then dOEs use it. Blessed are the Users for they shall Benefit from the SL Certification Project in happy Ignorance of the Bending Over Backward Hard Work of the moderators and contributors. But we love them anyway.

==Conflicts of Interest?==
==Issues==

Is it possible for a Bad School to give Bad Certifications to its students? Yes and No.
The following questions are in discussion by the SL CERT team:

In the short run, since NObody knows yet who to trust for certification, it is a wide open field.
* Will there be a fee to take a certification test?

HowEVer, as with other efforts in Second Life, savvy clients and users know that, "by our actions we are known".
Answered:  yes.

Good Schools can give Good Certifications where "Good" is determined by clients and users. We don't yet have an overseeing body OTHer than the SL Cert Project Team.
* Will tests be written, performance, other?

It is predictable that over time, Linden Lab will take over the SL Certification process using its own staff or a paid disinterested third party. In fact this is arguably a "definition of success" for the SL Cert Project, to get things moved along far enough to make them official. For those who want it to get official sooner, it is recommended that they look at and apply for the Solution Provider Gold Program first.
Answered:  all of the above.

==Disclaimer==
* What is the timeline for hiring the first SL Certifier?

SL Cert Roles is the creation of Fellow Residents And Developers Like You and does NOT reflect the official stance of Linden Lab. They just hope we get something useful done that many will benefit by, within this lifetime.
Answered:  there is no timeline right now; tests need to be created first.
