The Second Life Forums are a great way to Communicate with other Residents, and also a way to get support from other residents. To get Linden support go to [1] instead and file a support ticket.

Who can access the Forums?

To access the Forums you must be logged into the Second Life Website, and must have logged into Second Life, InWorld at least once with your account. Free/Basic Accounts can only access the Second Life Forums IF you have Payment info Used or Payment info on File. Premium and Concierge Customers can Access the Forums.

How do I have Payment info Used?

If you're a Basic/Free account holder, then you must have Payment info on File or Payment info Used to access the Forums, to do this;

Log in to http://www.secondlife.com

Click 'My Account' (Top right)

Select 'Update Payment Method'

Enter your Card Details, and select update. If you don't use any functions that require your card to be charged, then no money will be taken from your account.

Why do I have to Log into Second Life at least once to access the Forums?

This is to prevent spam and abuse on the Forums.

Why do I have to have Payment info on File or Payment info Used on my account, if I am a Basic/Free Account Holder?

This is also a way to prevent Spam and Abuse on the Forums, and helps to prevent people from creating Free accounts to spam the Second Life Forums.

What should I do if I can't log in?

Make sure you have Logged into Second Life at least once, and that you are logged into the Second Life Web Site, Make sure you have Valid Payment Info on File (Check by going to My account) Try changing your password, clearing your cookies and cache and Logging into the Second Life Web Site. If this fails, contact support (Premium Users)
