Problem: Resident is stuck logging in, or can't log in.

Possible Solutions:

  1. Delete the files in c:\documents and settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp
    1. Delete the files in c:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\Secondlife\Cache
  2. Uninstall SL through the Add/Remove Programs option in Control Panel.
    1. Reinstall SL using a new copy from www.secondlife.com/.
  3. Make sure you're not being stopped by a firewall.
    1. If you are, change the settings to allow SecondLife.exe (or contact your system admin for corporate connections).
  4. Make sure the grid is up.
