Problem: Resident is stuck logging in, or can't log in.

Possible Solutions:

  • Make sure the grid is up.
    • It should display "ONLINE", "RESTRICTED", or "OFFLINE" in the upper right part of your main screen.
      • If it says "OFFLINE", you can't access the grid.
      • If it says "RESTRICTED", only accounts that have payment info on file (and have used it at least once) can log on (only for peak activity times).
      • If it says "ONLINE", you should be able to access the grid.

  • Make sure you're not being stopped by a firewall.
    • If you are, change the settings to allow SecondLife.exe (or contact your system admin for corporate connections).

  • Delete the files in Temporary and Cache directories on your hard disk.

Note: If you have changed the location of your cache folder in your settings, replace the path to the cache folder in these instructions with your own setting
