Script Triage?

I think script triage sessions would be useful. With other bugs, issues & feature requests people are directly affected but with script related issues/features they only affect the writers of the scripts directly. People who buy scripted products won't be aware of the lengths scripters have gone to to find work arounds to problems and the inefficiencies they may be forced to introduce. --Helena Lycia

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. There aren't many scripting bugs just many caveats. Many script related issues LL has already issued statements upon. For example scripts writing notecards, LL has several valid reasons for not implementing it but the community continues to ask for it. My issue is that there won't be enough to talk about; people will just bring up the same stale issues. -- Strife Onizuka 18:13, 13 August 2007 (PDT)
If there aren't that many then maybe only do a script bug triage once a month. I've only raise 10 bugs/feature requests in Jira but 3 of them are script related. --Helena Lycia 11:04, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

A bit earlier?

3pm PST is so darn late for europeans, midnight in the middle of the week is quite bad. Any possibility to move that back to maybe 2pm? Tillie Ariantho 12:13, 26 September 2007 (PDT)

About the table

I tried to put the meeting times, etc. in a table, but it looks rather kludgy because I couldn't use the prettytable (or wikitable) CSS class, which should be at MediaWiki:Common.css. A sample one can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css . Celierra Darling 16:58, 6 January 2008 (PST)

chapter vs. category

Heyas!
I'm wondering: can the chapter Bug triage#Notes from previous triages be replaced with a link to Category:Bug triage? It's listing all the meetings and might be less lengthy.
I slightly edited Template:Triage Template in order to keep this page here up to date more easily. I don't yet have an idea on how to automatically find the "prev triage" without a loop function... Might be able to just take the next scheduled triage and substract seven days, but I'm not sure if they happen so regularly that it always works out.
@changes in Template:Triage Template: please specify date and place in the variable definitions now, so the Bug triage page can access them.

An interesting idea and it may work if the automatic alphebetizing system works well with numbering. For example 12-22-08 should be before 12-29-08, I know that alphabetizing works incredibly well (used to do a lot of bio work back at enwiki) but have never tried it with numbers. I had a look at the sorting and the reason why some weren't sorted the right way was, that there were differences in the spelling of the article titles. Sorting is influenced by upper and lower case. So some had Bug Triage as a titlepart and the majority used Bug triage. I moved the few pages with capital T and the sorting should be right now. And 2008-12-22 is before 2008-12-29. Category:Bug triage lists the agendas and most of the transcripts. Transcripts can be tagged with {{Bug triage}} on top in order to be listet. Would be nicer to have them listet in a reverse sort, but I don't think that it's possible... So this seems to be the best we can get with an automatted process.

I need to correct myself: It is possible to trick it to revert the sorting for the agendas. So now it's only about what we prefer. Newest on bottom or top?

done :-) this page should be fully automatted now (maybe besides a null edit to purge the cache). Category displays latest bug triage on top, since these might be of biggest interest for a reader.

History Notice

The edit history of this file couldn't be preserved. For the previous history, please look at the old backup. It is located at Project:Flagged Revs Backup/Bug triage. --Khepri Contractor 02:16, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

It should be possible to merge the old and new history of the page. See MediaWiki Administrator Handbook on "Edit History" and Wikipedia's How to fix cut-and-paste moves > Repair process (for admins). Whether it's worth the hassle (and risks), I cannot tell.
