I deleted the GPLV3 modification, i don't know what i was thinking it was silly and unenforceable. Plus it wasn't in the spirit of why i made the LockMeister protocol definition, so here it goes away. Kyrah Abattoir 08:07, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

I'm thinking that now that we get more and more functions to set things into child prims from a root script maybe Lockmeister should be updated too to reflect this? Anybody has a suggestion on how the ping commands could be modified so that they can now be sent from the root prim for example on behalf of an unscripted anchor prim? I don't believe this is possible with out making an incompatible version of the protocol. The current changes as suggested by LL includes no way to send a message from a child prim's key. WhiteFire Sondergaard 11:00, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Proposed Additions

I would like to propose a few additions to the protocol that are aimed at Furries (and related creatures):

  • For wings...
    • lwingarm / rwingarm - Upper wing "arm".
    • lwingwrist / rwingwrist - Just before the "hand", the point it branches out into the spars or "fingers".
  • For tails...
    • tailbase - Right where it joins the body
    • tailmid - middle of tail
    • tailtip - end of tail

Lockmeister V2 implementation.

I added a draft of the new commands, if this change is accepted by most designers, it should make the need for scripts in child prims that lockmeister v1 used to require redundant. ( the new commands are final, but the page could use a more clear presentation, i'm not that good with this wiki. ) --Kyrah Abattoir 00:29, 10 May 2012 (PDT)
