There have been these things called "Groups" in Second Life for many years now. People reading the phrase "Simulator User Group" are likely to try to find an inworld group with that name. I would expect there to be such a group. It seems quite a poor job of communication to use this long standing term "group" when there is not only not such an inworld group, there's not a group at all, just a time and place for public meetings.
