Using the default avatar to fix clouding can lead to a very time consuming process of AV creation, requiring the selection of many items to create a new AV look perhaps taking hours to complete for some. It seems you have underestimated how long and hard some work to create their AVs. The default AV solution should be only advises as an "if all else fails" suggestion only.
