My Second Life

Every person has the right to lead their Second Life (subject to terms of service) as they choose. We all manage our lifestyles differently. To make my own Second Life as enjoyable as possible, these are the things I do:

I thoroughly enjoy and seek out the company of calm, pleasant, amusing and interesting people. Empty vessels make the most noise, and I avoid people who key-up their microphones and waffle for 20 minutes without pausing for breath.

I don't accept friendship requests from people I have never spoken to.

I give less personal attention to accounts that are thousands of days old without payment info.

I un-friend or is it de-friend? those who send random Teleports so that I don't get bombarded with them.

I mute those who put me on a mailing lists, so I don't receive the mailings.

It is your right to embellish a story as much as you like, but it is also my right to call out obvious BS.

I go off and do something else when someone asks for help and then tells me to wait or goes AFK.

If someone won't let you play with your blocks, please AR them, I won't rough them up for you or get involved in other people's arguments.

I don't tend to keep friends with unstable people, they tend to turn on you.

My 2 cents

Don't apply for a job if a refusal is going to send you insane.

Don't say "I quit" as a threat. I always accept resignations.

Say it in a sentence, I won't read War and Peace.

Having a disclaimer on your profile, does not change the Terms of Service. Like saying you're a bank robber, does not change the law and make it okay to do a bank job.

Golden Nugget: The company you keep defines you. Choose your friends wisely.
