the "self promotion" business was more a reference to the other guy who added his picture.  so far, i've been keeping the images on the front page to myself (i know, i know, wiki pages aren't a dictatorship, perhaps i shouldn't try) they've been images i particularly like.  the head (was it your head?) was technically interesting, i ALMOST posted it - but we already had a head... :)  --[[User:Qarl Linden|Qarl Linden]] 13:54, 12 June 2007 (PDT)

{{Jira Reporter}}

hi Ina. Consider putting a {{Jira Reporter}} on your user page to link to jira issues reported by you. --Boroondas Gupte 16:10, 22 May 2007 (PDT)

I would, except I don't expect my JIRA request to be fixed anytime soon, although to users who chat a decent amount on SL, it's a crippling/urgent prob. (Ina Centaur 21:22, 23 May 2007 (PDT))
That can be a self-fulfilling prophecy if you don't make more of a case for your reports. I looked up this issue you filed (VWR-753) and imported it into our internal tracker. That's the good news. The bad news is that it doesn't appear to have any votes after weeks of being in the system. Are you sure this is a problem for everyone, or is this just a problem you're seeing? Note, the more you participate (e.g. in bug triage meetings, or bringing it up on the sldev mailing list) the more likely your issue is to get addressed. -- Rob Linden 16:40, 14 June 2007 (PDT)
i will try to duplicate the error later when i am ready to crash. ;-) i think the easiest way to duplicate the error would be to fill chat.txt up with a lot of text (maybe 10 or 20MB) and another group chat/IM .txt in the logged chats folder. curious, have you tried that yet? not entirely sure this is how one sends messages with wiki... but hopefully it'll get to you:

the "self promotion" business was more a reference to the other guy who added his picture. so far, i've been keeping the images on the front page to myself (i know, i know, wiki pages aren't a dictatorship, perhaps i shouldn't try) they've been images i particularly like. the head (was it your head?) was technically interesting, i ALMOST posted it - but we already had a head... :) --Qarl Linden 13:54, 12 June 2007 (PDT)
