About

This skin is designed to give more choice, and hopefully improve the usability and promote usage of Second Life Viewer 2.0.
It consists of a number of previously published viewer tweaks - produced by various residents (see credits in the downloaded 'Read Me' file) and added to, together with a slight reskinning to give the interface a lighter feel. It should hopefully benefit those people who have no wish to edit the XML code themselves, yet wish to benefit from a number of tweaks made by other residents, without using a third-party viewer.

Major Changes to the Standard Skin

  • Sidebar now sliding over view of the world and reduced in size
  • Extended Chat Bar and Chat History
  • Better formatting of tabbed IM window
  • Several UI components made semi-transparent
  • "About Land" Button added to Navigation Bar
  • "Build" option added to the rightclick on object menu
  • "Grid Status", "Sky Editor" and "XStreet" options added to menu
  • "Map", "Mini-Map" and "Inventory" Buttons added to bottom bar
  • Generally lighter look and graphical/colour changes to fit in with it's Black and Orange look

Known Bugs and Issues

  • Only working fully with English language version of the interface

Changes to 2.0.5 from 2.0.4

  • Maximum size of nearby chat field doubled to 1024 as in v1.23
  • Hover tips settings now enabled under Advanced->Highlighting and Visibility (they were commented out in the Viewer 2 xml code so use with care)
  • 'My Upload' added under 'Me' menu
  • 'My Useful Features' added initially with 'Stop all Animations', 'Rebake', 'Statistics Bar' and 'Lag Meter' - but with the intention of making it easily customisable in later versions
  • A number of formatting and cosmetic changes

Changes to 2.0.4 from 2.0.3

  • Fixed bug affecting UI resizing
  • Changed overflow buttons on specific profiles and places to be a '+' consistent with other windows

Changes to 2.0.3 from 2.0.2

  • Works with Viewer 2.0.0.203055 (and also with release 202934)
  • Sidebar now goes behind other floaters
  • Build icons and progress bars now fit with colour scheme
  • Text that was light grey is now brighter.
  • Most scrollbars doubled in brightness
  • Added 'Sky Editor' to 'World' Menu (saves two extra clicks)
  • 'Home' icons change reverted to Linden icons

Changes to 2.0.2 from 2.0.1

  • Works with release 202934 of Viewer 2.0 (available March 26th 2010)
  • Chat bar shortened slightly so that it doesn't suppress chiclets too much on lower resolution screens
  • Problem with Texture picker resolved
  • Viewer keeps traditional 'home' icons rather than new ones introduced in most recent release of Viewer 2.0
