Lag can refer to several distinct types of problems affecting your Second Life experience. Fortunately, the Lag Meter helps you determine what type of lag you're experiencing. Client, Network, and Server status are shown with green, yellow, and red lights, similar to traffic lights. Green is good! Possible causes are also shown when appropriate.

Client   Lag on your Viewer-side end.
Network   Lag with the network connection between your Viewer and Linden Lab's servers.
Server   Lag from Linden Lab's servers.
> >   Toggle window size. The collapsed window doesn't show lag descriptions.
