Shows your current position on a map in realtime, a simplified version of the World Map.

  • A yellow dot and a wedge of light indicate your current position and field of view.
  • Zoom in or out by hovering your cursor over the Mini-Map and using your mouse's scroll wheel.

Legend

Some objects and areas are color-coded:

Cyan areas   Objects you own.
Fuchsia areas   Objects your groups own.
o   A Resident at about the same height as your camera position.
^   A Resident above your camera position, for example one flying or in a tall building.
v   A Resident below your camera position.
Green arrows   Residents above your camera's altitude show as up arrows, and Residents below your camera's altitude show as down arrows.
o   Nearby friends. To see and edit your Friends list, choose Communicate > My Friends.
Dark gray blocks   Objects owned by others. In a region with lots of buildings, you see lots of these.
Tiled dark blue   Areas beyond your vision. You can see them by moving closer, or by increasing your draw distance: go to Me > Preferences > Graphics and iadjust the Draw Distance slider.
Red areas   Offline regions

More options

Right-click to display these options:

Zoom Close   Zooms in the maximum level.
Zoom Medium   Zooms to a moderate level.
Zoom Far   Zooms out the maximum level.
Rotate Map   Makes the Mini-Map rotate with your field of view. Unchecking this option orients the Mini-Map north at all times.
Stop Tracking   Stops tracking any target defined on the World Map and removes the associated beacon from view.
World Map   Opens the World Map. You can also open the World Map by double-clicking the Mini-Map.
