Shows all Residents within 100m. Filter the list by typing into the search field at the top of the sidebar.
Double-click a Resident's name in the list to start an IM conversation with them.

Each entry includes a thumbnail image of that Resident's profile image if they have uploaded one. To hide these images, click  then uncheck View People Icons.

Changes to  Voice On to indicate that a nearby Resident is speaking using voice communication.

Actions
Mouse over a Resident's entry to display these icons:

Opens a small information window where you can adjust that person's speaking volume, send them a friend request, view their profile, or click for additional options.

Right click on a Resident's entry to display the following options (some are also available as buttons at the bottom of the sidebar when you select a Resident in the list):
- View Profile: Opens the Resident's profile.
- Add Friend: Sends a friend request to the Resident.
- IM: Opens an instant messaging session with the Resident.
- Call: Initiates a private voice call to the Resident.
- Teleport: Offer a teleport.
- Invite to Group: Invite the Resident to join a group to which you belong.
- Block/Unblock: Blocks or unblocks the Resident.
- Report: Report Abuse by the Resident.
- Zoom In: Zoom in your camera view.
- Pay: Opens the Pay Resident window that enables you to pay Linden Dollars to the Resident.
- Share: Give an inventory items to the Resident.
Options
Click Gear to choose these options:
| Sort by Recent Speakers | Sorts the list of nearby Residents by latest voice communication. |
| Sort by Name | Sorts the list of nearby Residents alphabetically by name. |
| Sort by Distance | Sorts the list of nearby Residents by distance from your avatar. |
| View People Icons | Shows or hides thumbnail images of each nearby Resident's profile picture. |
| View Map | Show map of the nearby area in the People window. |
| Show Blocked Residents & Objects | Opens your Blocked List, showing the objects and Residents you have chosen to block. |
