Mentor Apprentices: Please scroll to the bottom of this wiki page to view a list of official Orientation sessions that you may take to transfer into the official Mentor group. Feel free to check out the other classes offered by Mentor Coaches as well!

Class Title: Basic Building for Mentors

Start Time: Sunday, January 27th 12:00(noon) SLT

Length: 60 Minutes

Location: SLVEC Sandbox

Description: As a Mentor you don't need to be a master builder, but you should have some basic building skills. I'll show you how to : Edit prims, link and unlink prims, texture, build simple items like notecard or landmark givers or a simple vendor.

Class Title: Scripting inside out.

Class Title: Learn Basic Scripting for very beginners

Start Time: Tuesday, Jan 29 13:00 (1:00 pm) SLT Length: 60 Minutes

Location: SLVEC Sandbox (select sandbox on the TP machine when you arrive)

Description: Always wanted to learn about scripting but been to scared to try? Don't be scared come along and see what it's all about, but don't blame me if u get addicted :P

This class is a fun and open explanaiton the workings of a basic script so that you have some understanding of what's really going on in there.

We will then make basic changes to our script to turn it into a notecard / landmark giver.

No experience necessary, this class is pain free.

Class Title: Basic Scripting - Why do we sit on things strange?

Start Time: Wednesday, Jan 30 13:00 (1:00 pm) SLT

Length: 60 Minutes

Location: SLVEC Sandbox (select sandbox on the TP machine when you arrive)

Description: This class is aimed at people who want to script but been too scared or put off by the jargon! Be scared no more!! (I've taught this to ppl that can't rez a box before).

The class involves exploring how avatars sit on objects by default, and ways to make them sit on things a bit nicer. We also learn how to make many people sit on the same object in a uniform way. Great for people making furniture or for people who want to learn more about basic scripting.

Description: Always wanted to learn about scripting but been to scared to try? Don't be scared come along and see what it's all about, but don't blame me if u get addicted :P

Animated textures in SL form the basis of things like running water, awesome artwork and cool dance floors.

Come along and see the scripting behind animated textures to see how they work, so in the future you can make some of your own :D
