SL Mentor Buddies is short for Second Life Mentor Buddies. (Plural) As due to the limitation of the Projected Group Tag above the Avatar, it is written in this short way.

Second Life Mentor Buddies, are people that are subscribed, and approved to the group of special people within the Second Lifer Mentor group. A single person of this group is a "SL Mentor Buddy"

They are here for both the Mentoring capabileties, as for helping Apprentice Mentors, Newly graduated Mentors, and seasoned Mentors with all kinds of questions.
