I dislike having to enable that every time I go to the website, and it seems to me that adult content will not be seen by shoppers who forget to do that... our preference should be sticky from visit to visit

Currently the nearly-default portal is showing supposedly "Popular Items." This is a key detraction from purchasing Homepage Featured listings. If these were moved to their proper place I'd invest heavily in homepage featured enhancements again.
