Why can't I log into the Second Life Forums?
The Second Life Forums require you to have logged in to Second Life at least once with your account.
The reason why this is done is to deter abuse such as spam.
If you come across another problem, such as being repeatedly redirected to the login screen, please:
- Log out of your account.
- Clear your web browser cookies and cache. If that still doesn't work...
- Try a different browser to see if the problem is browser-specific. For example, if you're using Internet Explorer, try Firefox.
If those steps don't resolve the problem and you're a Premium or Concierge Resident, you can contact Support. Make sure to specify the following details so we can help you best:
- What you've already tried to resolve the problem.
- The exact error message you get, if it's not the "You must log in to view..." one.
- The version of your web browser (usually under Help menu > About...)
- If to the best of your knowledge, your account has ever been suspended or put on hold before for inaccurate account info. (This results in forum access being disabled too.)
- Details relevant to if you've otherwise ever been able to access the SL Forums before, but now find you can't.
