How can I create pages on my wiki? please help!!!!!—The preceding unsigned comment was added on 10:53, 9 June 2008 by Daniel Voyager

Hm... I guess you already found out by creating the subpage User:Daniel Voyager/Example. So all you need to do is: alter the URL in your browser to the pagename you'd like to have (using underscores instead of blanks). Like:
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Daniel_Voyager/This_is_my_awesome_subpage
The Wiki will tell you that a page named like this isn't in existence and it will ask you if you'd like to create it. So that's the way it works... It will not automatically link it somewhere. So you would have to either remember the URL of it, watch it up in your contributions, in the recent changes or link it to your

userpage. So this should be all you need to know =) Happy editing.

TSL Categories

Heyas!
I noticed you wrote several comments on TSL category pages (1, 2, 3 & 4), requesting the removal of certain userpages from the categories. It might be a better solution to write these comments on the userpages of these people instead, so they actually notice the request. Normally, it is a no-go to edit other peoples userpages... but it might be OK to update categories. So you can also browse to the pages and remove either the {{visl/TSL ... etc etc }} code or to remove the [[Category:XYZ]] code (depending on what they used to register themselfs to the categories. But please double-check if they are really not in these grouproles anymore before updating the userpages!

TG > MG Countdown

Heyas =)
You can consider using Template:CountDown for the TG -> MG countdown. Usage could be something like

{{CountDown|19|12|2008|{{#var:a}} Days Left to GO.|It's my 18th BDAY!!|Transferred from the TG {{#expr:(-{{#var:a}})}} days ago.}}

Hope you're having a great party! Greetz, Zai signature.png Lynch (talk|contribs) 16:46, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Culture?

Daniel! I know you've done a LOT of documenting of not just helpful stuff, but aspects unique to Second Life. I began http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Culture and wanted to ask if you have any pages you wanted to add there, or organizational thoughts? Please go ahead and contribute as inspiration strikes you. Thanks. ^_^ - Torley-favicon.png Torley on 2009-02-02 @ 9:12 AM PST

Hey Torley, I love documenting stuff, all things Second Life, ^_^. I've just started to add new page links to the culture page relating to Second Life, I hope that helps. I'll add more ASAP! :) Daniel on 2009-02-02 @ 9:41 AM PST

Is there an official source available to backup these info? *curious*
Not that I don't trust in your integrity, but save is save... Zai signature.png Lynch (talk|contribs) 16:17, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Organizing Music Streams List

Organizing the Music streams list of Internet radio stations seems a useful task. I will begin to work on this soon, and have posted an initial query in the discussion page. Then, I noticed you listed in the page history, thought you might be able to help. BTW, I have created a tool (in world) that will help browse the many stations in the list (hint hint). azwaldo 15:11, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

I agree. I believe the Music streams page still needs abit more work done to it over the next upcoming weeks-months. I like your tool to browse many stations on the list.

Deletion of history

Hi Daniel, Per Talk:Town_Hall, I just want to clarify that AFAIK, we did not delete any town hall or office hour transcripts; not intentionally anyway. If you find any in the deletion log, please let me know and I will restore them. I have checked and double-checked, and though we did delete some old Linden User pages, we did not delete the office hours that were merely linked from those pages. As you know, simply deleting a page that links to another page does not affect the latter.

I am in complete agreement that historical records should not be removed; Our intent was to make the wiki more accurate and up to date, but that does not have to mean removing history. In general, my approach is to use Template:Archive to mark old outdated pages that may have some historical value.

Prokofy Neva appears to be quite confused about this whole matter and although I have tried repeatedly to explain to her, she doesn't seem to get it. If you could help in any way to clear up her misperception, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks! --Rand Linden 10:53, 16 May 2011 (PDT)
