You can change the fabric, color and style of your clothing and body parts by moving the sliders for each parameter.

Shirt, Pants, Shoes, Socks, Jacket, Gloves, Undershirt, Underpants, Skirt, Alpha, Tattoo, or Physics

  Shows the name of the clothing or wearable item you're editing. If you're creating a new item, enter a new name before saving.

Editing Clothing

Move the sliders to customize each parameter for your clothing item.

Texture

  Click to open the Pick Texture window, and select a texture for your item.
Color/Tint

  Click to open the Color Picker window, and select a color for your item.

Editing Physics

Bounce, Cleavage and Sway refer respectively to the X, Y and Z axes, each with a set of sliders that adjusts movement in one dimension. Move the sliders to customize parameters for your avatar's breast, belly, and butt physics. Note: If your avatar is male, you can customize only your belly and butt.

Max effect

  Controls the maximum range of movement. If set to 0, the feature is off.
Spring

  Controls the speed of vibration. A higher number means your body part will vibrate more quickly.
Gain

  Controls the force of the effect when movement is triggered. A higher number causes a the effect to be faster and more significant in comparison with other forces (such as gravity).
Damping

  Controls how long it takes for movement to stop after it's triggered. A higher number causes the movement to stop sooner.

Advanced Parameters

Breast / Belly / Butt Mass

  Controls the modeled mass of the body part. A higher number makes the body part look heavier. This parameter affects all the other parameters.
Breast / Belly / Butt Gravity

  Controls the strength of the pull toward the ground. A higher number means the pull is stronger.
Breast / Belly / Butt Drag

  Controls the effect of air resistance. A higher number increases the air resistance.

Editing Shape

Right-click your avatar and select Edit My Shape from the dropdown to open the shape editor. Use this window to edit your avatar's body shape and gender. The avatar shape parameters are separated into categories based on areas of your avatar's body.

Shape

  Shows the name of the shape worn by your avatar.
Gender selection

  Select the Male Male or Female Female radio button to designate your avatar's gender.
Height

  Shows the height of your avatar in Meters or Feet.


Body, Head, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth, Chin, Torso, Legs

  Each avatar body area is shown in its own section. Click Collapse Collapse and Expand Expand to show or hide each section. Adjust the parameters of your avatar's shape by moving the sliders. Thumbnail images show a preview of your avatar at each parameter's extreme settings. Click a thumbnail image to move the associated slider ten points toward that extreme.

Options

Save As

  Saves a renamed copy of the item you're editing.
Undo Changes

  Reverts all unsaved changes back to original settings.
