The Linden Memorial Park is designed to be a permanent place for inworld memorials to disasters outside of Second Life that affect our Residents. If you would like to hold a memorial event, we have four Regions available (Highgate/Monument/Derran Moor/Winterspire) within the Linden Memorial Park.

Requesting a memorial event

Guidelines

Memorial events in Linden Memorial Park:

  • Must be open to all.
  • Must be Parcel lght G.png General rated.
  • Must not be religiously or polictially sensitive.
  • Last no longer than one day.

In addition, you must:

  • Make reservations in advance; space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Include a full description of the event when applying.
  • Not terraform the land in Linden Memorial Park.
  • Not own the land or transfer the land during the event.

Process

To request a memorial event, submit a support case.

Process

To request a memorial placement, submit a support ticket using the Support Portal. Important fields to fill in are as follows:

  1. In the Summary field, enter Memorial request.
  2. From the Ticket Type dropdown, select Land & Region Issue.
  3. From the Region Request dropdown, select Memorial Request.
  4. Fill in any important Details.
  5. Click Finish.

Include the following:

  • The name of Resident or details of real life event to be commemorated.
  • Confirmation that you have transfer rights to the object to be placed.
  • A brief description of the memorial object to be placed.
