Select Enable machine translation while chatting to automatically translate chat text to the language specified in the Translate chat into field. See STORM-1577

To use chat translation, you must set up an account with Bing or Google.

Using Bing

To use the Microsoft Bing Translator service, you must get a Microsoft Application ID as follows:

  1. Go to the Bing webmaster center. You must sign in with your Windows Live ID.
  2. Enter the required information in the form and click Save to get an Application ID.
  3. Copy and paste your Application ID into the text field.
  4. Click Verify.

Once you have verified your Application ID, the Viewer will use the Bing Translator

Using Google

To us the Google Translate API, you must get a Google API key, as follows:

  • Go to the Google API console. You must sign in with your Google account.
  • Set up a new API project.
  • Enable the Translate API.
  • Click on Billing to set up billing for the project.
  1. Copy and paste your API key into the text field.
  2. Click Verify.

Once you have verified your Application ID, the Viewer will use Google Translate API.
