: Currently there is no way to revert these behaviors to 'default'... that is there's no setting that tells the viewer to use "Blend" when a texture has an alpha mask, and "None" when it doesn't. I've created a Jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-7306 requesting the creation of a PRIM_ALPHA_MODE_DEFAULT flag that would revert the affected faces to the classic behavior, but I can't figure out how to add this information to the caveats or section of this page.
