Greeting people: Recognize people,  show them that you know they're there.
I'm from Denmark.
I've been a residence in Second Life since September 15 2006.


Chatting people. Keep the conversation fluent and entertaining/inmteresting to people.
Pretty much since january 2007 I've beeen working as a hostess in Dublin SL as well as various other venues or events. Now I'm also a senior manager of Dublin and in charge of training the staff to host events on different levels there and responsible for host certification.
 
Watch out for griefers or disturbers of the good energy in the room
 
Collecting people to group. Unless your group gives people special powers on your land, it's a great way to reach more people if the host ads all new visitors.
 
Hosting should fit the venue meaning if the venue goal is to have realistic surroundings it might not be a good idea to be a flying hosting.

Hello

I'm from Denmark. I've been a residence in Second Life since September 15 2006.

Pretty much since january 2007 I've beeen working as a hostess in Dublin SL as well as various other venues or events. Now I'm also a senior manager of Dublin and in charge of training the staff to host events on different levels there and responsible for host certification.
