:I hate to be a curmudgeon, but I'm not going to have the time right now to go through what you wrote with a fine-toothed comb. I'll make an effort to incorporate the non-controversial parts of what you wrote this coming week, and have a discussion about the controversial parts. The gist: let's not make ''this page'' yet another venue to flog Linden Lab for what you think we're doing wrong. -- [[User:Rob Linden|Rob Linden]] 19:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC) |

Writing credits
This document, as of this writing, represents a merge of some work started at Mm Alder at User:Mm Alder/SLDev Open Source Viewer, Q Linden at SLDev Open Source Viewer, and various authors (in the history) at HTTP Texture Development. -- Rob Linden 19:02, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
commit privileges
That's the process for folks with commit privileges. Need to clarify what people without those privileges need to do to submit a patch. Merov Linden 01:06, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Mm's version
Note to Mm Alder: your version has a long narrative that isn't exactly necessary for newcomers, and certainly is not putting our best foot forward in building a community. More after the weekend. -- Rob Linden 19:14, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
