Tid, I don't think we've talked before, but I was looking at the [[User:Torley_Linden/Snapshot_tips&action=history|page revision history]], and thanks for your corrections. I appreciate the open editing that comes with this wiki, and graciously appreciate the time you spent bettering the guide to be more ''correct'' and useful to Residents at large.

== Age Play does not equate to Child Porn ==
I reverted[https://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=Help%3ASecond_Life_FAQ&diff=53195&oldid=53174] your poorly worded edit to [[Help:Second Life FAQ]].
Age Play does not equate to child porn, Residents whose avatars appear child-like do not all engage in child porn-related activities, to claim on behalf of all Second Life Residents that child-like avatars are not tolerated is in of itself intolerant and prejudicial.

Can I ask anyone else leaving comments on my wiki page to observe a few simple courtesies please? (1) if it is not to do with this wiki page then it doesn't really belong here, and you should IM me inworld or drop me a notecard and (2) to speak to me with some measure of respect and friendliness. I'm sure I don't really need to say this to most people, I'm just rather shocked by the previous contribution, is all.
== re: Request for civility and courtesy befitting Mentor status ==
While the wording of my comments may seem a little harsh I can apologise for that, but I will not apologise for making them, nor for making them on your wiki talk page.
Since there was no existing talk thread on the wiki article regarding the "age play" topic, and you were the sole contributor to the article with reference to "age play" within the second life FAQ, the most appropriate avenue for communication is your talk page, where you at least have the authority to delete messages you deem irrelevant or offensive.

== category ==
Heya Tid! =) Ok, you added your page to the category with the link I gave ya but it is not that kind of link like normal links are. So what it does is:
*It lists your page at [[:Category:Userpages_With_Helpful_Resources_For_Volunteers|this category]]
*It creates a link all down at the bottom of your users page
So in case you would like to actuaclly place a link to the category at same place in your article, you would have to use one of the following codes
<nowiki>[[:Category:Userpages_With_Helpful_Resources_For_Volunteers]]</nowiki>
or
<nowiki>[[:Category:Userpages_With_Helpful_Resources_For_Volunteers|some alternative text]]</nowiki>
These would ''only'' link to the direction. They would ''not'' register you there. To register, the following would be the right one:
<nowiki>[[Category:Userpages_With_Helpful_Resources_For_Volunteers|{{PAGENAME}}]]</nowiki>
Furthermore, you can also register your site to other categories like the second life mentors or the buddys or what ever. We got some special templates for it to make their use easier. So you can simply copy and paste the following code and place an asterisk * behind every equal = symbol if you are in that specific role. So i guess you are an english speaking mentor and are in the buddy role. So this would be the code you would have to paste:
:<nowiki>{{ISO 639-3/cat-speaking/Volunteers|eng}}</nowiki><br>
:<nowiki>{{visl</nowiki>
:|Greeters=
:|Mentors=*
:|Helpers=
:|Instructors=
:|Scribe=
:|Linguist=
:|Buddy=*
:<nowiki>|}}</nowiki>
Lum explained it more detailed in the [[Quickie_Wiki_Intro]] but this code should be fine. I hope this was helpful. If not, just poke me inworld or place a comment beneath this one =) Greetings, --[[User:Zai Lynch|Zai Lynch]] 00:19, 31 March 2008 (PDT)
Thank you Zai, that was useful. I had a question for you, but we met inworld so I don't need to ask it here any more! [[User:Tid Kidd|Tid Kidd]] 12:46, 1 April 2008 (PDT)

Thank-you for improving the Snapshot tips page!

Tid, I don't think we've talked before, but I was looking at the page revision history, and thanks for your corrections. Age Play does not equate to Child Porn

I reverted[1] your poorly worded edit to Help:Second Life FAQ.

Age Play does not equate to child porn, Residents whose avatars appear child-like do not all engage in child porn-related activities, to claim on behalf of all Second Life Residents that child-like avatars are not tolerated is in of itself intolerant and prejudicial.
