====What are Themed Private Regions?====
 
Each Themed Private Region contains a readymade build which has been optimized to get you started on your new land in minutes, and which can be modified further to your liking. All themes are available as Full Regions, most of them as Homesteads, and none of them as Openspaces due to the number of objects they contain. Here's a chart showing the features of each theme:

====Why is Linden Lab selling Themed Regions?====
 
Our research has shown that many of our Residents don't fully understand how owning land can enhance their Second Life experience. In addition, potential owners are daunted by the prospect of learning the tools and skills required to shape the land to their vision. With that in mind, we wanted to create a basic series of islands with existing content in order to make it easy and simple to get started with land in Second Life. We also wanted to create more business opportunity for estates, merchants, and communities in Second Life.
 
====Aren't you now competing with builders and estate owners?====
 
No, we're not. Think of this Linden content as a test case that we used to make sure the [https://land.secondlife.com/ Land Store] could enable the sales of third-party content. Also, by expanding the market for land, there's more opportunity for everyone, including:
 
* Estate owners who rent
* Builders who create more content for these Regions
* Solution providers who offer theatre or conference centers for their corporate clients
 
====When will you offer us the opportunity to participate?====
 
We don't have a date available at this time. But we won't be rolling out further Linden themes until our community can participate. More information will be made available once the program is fully designed.
 
====What does "Developed Mainland" mean?====
 
Just as in real life you can buy land that is an empty lot or land that has a building on it, the same is true inworld. As part of our plan to make it easier for buyers to find land, we'd like to show them the parcels you've set for sale inworld. We don't have a launch date for this yet, but in the meantime, if you have mainland with content ready to sell, mark it for sale with the '''Sell with content''' box checked. Once we release that feature, you'll be all set!
