When you right-click the ground and select About Land, you'll see the About Land window. Under the Options tab, if you own the land as an individual or part of a group, you'll notice there are two checkboxes under the Allow other residents to header that say Run Scripts: All Residents or Group.
Here is a detailed list of rules showing exactly which scripts will run when those checkboxes are checked or unchecked:
If the land parcel is owned by one person
If the All Residents box is checked:
- All scripts run normally.
If only the Group box is checked:
- Scripts in attachments run only if their owner is in the same group as the land.
- Objects rezzed inworld only run if they are set to the same group as the land.
If no boxes are checked:
- As a general rule, only expect scripts belonging to the parcel's owner to run.
- Scripts inside attachments belonging to group members may work, but scripts inside inworld objects (non-attachments) do not run, regardless of the group settings on the object.
If the land parcel is deeded to a group
If the All Residents box is checked:
- All scripts run normally.
If only the Group box is checked:
- Attachments belonging to group members run normally.
- Scripts inside objects set to the group or deeded to the group run normally.
If no boxes are checked:
- Attachments belonging to group members run normally.
- Objects deeded to the group run normally.
