[10:57] Jack Linden: hey folks

[10:57] Dytska Vieria: Hi Jack!

[10:57] Equinox Pinion: Hi Jack

[10:57] Cristalle Karami: this isn't a voice meeting is it?

[10:57] xstorm Radek: hi Jack

[10:57] Bushido Contepomi: Howdy Jack

[10:57] Marianne McCann: Hi Jack!

[10:57] Jack Linden: noo, it's a text meeting

[10:58] Timo Daehlie: back & hello people i ve missed

[10:58] Jack Linden: so how are you all.. who has something they'd like to talk about today?

[10:58] Bushido Contepomi: Timo!! Welcome Back:)

[10:58] Rem Nightfire: Hi Jack, Could you tell us what your plans are for dealing with the thousands of high priced small plots - joined or unjoined- that are preventing many of us from being able to rejoin these areas into useful parcels?

[10:58] Elanthius Flagstaff: As if by magic, the shopkeeper appears

[10:58] Timo Daehlie: bush ;)

[10:59] Ciaran Laval: Whose Mr Benn then?

[10:59] xstorm Radek: im good ty :-)

[10:59] Equinox Pinion: The new land cutting policy is not really a change is it, besides that you will talk with the big owners, or did I miss something

[10:59] xstorm Radek: how are you ?

[10:59] Jack Linden: Rem.. now that the land cut/dividing post has gone out we have started to talk to the owners of those 16m parcels

[10:59] Rem Nightfire: and can you tell us the nature of these talks?

[10:59] xstorm Radek: well thats good

[11:00] Elanthius Flagstaff: Have you actually talken to any already? I was kinda expecting a call

[11:00] Jack Linden: We're also pulling a lot of data on who owns them , whether they cut them up originally and so on

[11:00] Drongle McMahon: Awhole week talking?

[11:00] katykiwi Moonflower: Jack, are you any closer to that annoucement concerning bots?

[11:00] Yohan Pintens: Bots Rule http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,496309,00.html

[11:00] Jack Linden: Rem.. mainly just about the no cutting ruling, but also about the high average prices and the volume that are out there. We clearly want to reduce that

[11:01] Rem Nightfire: a while ago, Harry contacted the owners of high priced donut holes and told them the had to come to an agreement with the surrounding landowners will that be a model for the future?

[11:01] Jack Linden: We've started Elanthius, Harmony is doing most of the contact work there

[11:01] Bushido Contepomi: Jack: I am curious as to why these overpriced micro parcels are still up for sale, and new roadside cut's are just sitting there with contact owner for sale "320 SQ Nice Roadside" Why are you letting this continue?

[11:01] Equinox Pinion: but one person could still do a 16sm parcel and sell it for 50.000 under the new policy

[11:02] Drongle McMahon: There don't seem to have been any changes.

[11:02] Jack Linden: Bushido.. we'll be looking at all of that. As with the Ad Farm stuff, it'll take a little while for us to gather all the info. There are a lot of parcels hehe.

[11:02] Equinox Pinion: you need to put price limits on them or nothing will change

[11:02] Jack Linden: Equinox aswe discussed in the blog post, that remains an option

[11:03] Talarus Luan: Well, I have seen *one* change. Mr. "Four Corners" took his 96sqm plot off sale (as if L$29999 for a 96 was a sale price in the first place), and transferred it to another of his alt's groups.

[11:03] Elanthius Flagstaff: There were a lot of ad farmers dumping land. Hundreds maybe thousands of 16s went up for sale at low prices in the last two weeks

[11:03] Jack Linden: From a technical point of view it's not that hard for us to do.. but we're not made that decision yet

[11:03] xstorm Radek: lol

[11:03] Drongle McMahon: None wherte I was watching.

[11:03] xstorm Radek: damn scammer

[11:03] Talarus Luan: But that is all.

[11:04] Rem Nightfire: no change for mr. 4 corners in about 30 of my areas

[11:04] Jack Linden: Yeah, there has a lot of adjustment in the last couple of weeks on small parcels

[11:04] Qie Niangao: Elanthius... that's interesting... must have been the really sad parcels, cuz I've seen no movement at all where I watch

[11:04] Jack Linden: Prices changing etc

[11:04] xstorm Radek: i seen a 16m going for 999999 one time

[11:04] Talarus Luan: Likely, it will take some time for them to get around to "fixing" all the thousands of plots

[11:04] Rem Nightfire: the 1495 s are still there the 777 s are still there in abundance

[11:04] Elanthius Flagstaff: It's specific cutters liquidating everything. So depends who you have around you.

[11:05] Drongle McMahon: What do you call low price, Elanthius?

[11:05] Jack Linden: I expect that it'll happen in waves as we contact each of them in turn

[11:05] Elanthius Flagstaff: L$50 per 16

[11:05] Melodie Darwin: ha

[11:05] Talarus Luan: I imagine the Torus Frog -esque 16s will never be handled, as it appears to be part of the "business model"; ie, throwaway accounts.

[11:05] Rem Nightfire: is it useful to AR high priced donut holes at this point jack?

[11:05] Elanthius Flagstaff: I've bought I think a hundred or so at that price

[11:05] Bushido Contepomi: Elanthius, what about your new cut's, and 16Sq m, are you still trading them , or are you dumping as well?

[11:06] Jack Linden: Rem, doughnut holes if it appears to be deliberate.. sure

[11:06] Alexxa Despres: Hi everyone ;))

[11:06] Cristalle Karami: Elanthius doesn't cut.

[11:06] Rem Nightfire: delibarate in that the price is 9999L?

[11:06] Bushido Contepomi: Have you been to Cheetoh Cristalle?

[11:06] Cristalle Karami: Elanthius is the bot runer that picks up the abandoned 16s

[11:06] Jack Linden: If you think what they are doing is a governance issue Rem, then report it and the team will look at them

[11:07] Cristalle Karami: runner*

[11:07] Rem Nightfire: ok thanks jack

[11:08] Jack Linden: now, last week I bravely said the new blog would go out this week and of course that has bitten me.. as it hasn't. so apologies for that.

[11:08] katykiwi Moonflower: Jack, any update on the bot issue?

[11:08] Jack Linden: some technical hitch stopped it launching

[11:08] Alexxa Despres: hmmmm...quiet bunch or am i just not getting chat?

[11:08] Brie Janick: can i ask a ??

[11:08] Jack Linden: i'm told next week it'll launch

[11:08] Drongle McMahon: Jack. Will you reconsider a financial incentive for rejoining, when the talking fails?

[11:09] Ciaran Laval: lol never mind Jack it's best to have it right before launch.

[11:09] Rem Nightfire: or a "forced" negotiation?

[11:09] Jack Linden: Katykiwi (that took me about five attempts to type).. the landbot/traffic discussion will start once the new blog goes up as i'd like to use it's better discussion features

[11:09] Elanthius Flagstaff: ETA on the new fancy blog?

[11:09] Talarus Luan: Next week

[11:09] Elanthius Flagstaff: You mean "next week"

[11:09] Alexxa Despres: Jack..I am still going to ask... when will LAND be added to new webpage? *smiles sweetly*

[11:09] Jack Linden: Drongle, it's very unikely we would financially reward rejoining

[11:10] Talarus Luan: Apparently. :D

[11:10] Equinox Pinion: Are there any news on the new product front?

[11:10] Jack Linden: Alexxa.. lol.. I passed on the comments. It's down tothe web folks now

[11:10] Elanthius Flagstaff: WTF is going on with the stats page. RAAAWWWWRR!!

[11:10] xstorm Radek: it be nice to see Bot only stay on the owners land and not endup at a place like Korea1

[11:10] Drongle McMahon: I'm afraid you will never see it happen then.

[11:10] Alexxa Despres: Hmmmm...can you give me their address...i can smile sweetly at them too ;)))

[11:11] Jack Linden: No new news on Products, we've no changes planned there at all.

[11:11] Rem Nightfire: the relocation of extortion plots seems like it would work well jack

[11:11] xstorm Radek: Korea1 is not a place for bots when its a telehub

[11:11] Cristalle Karami: Jack, are there plans to deploy the google search app for land sales any time this year?

[11:11] Rem Nightfire: put them together somewhere or along a road

[11:11] Jack Linden: Rem, that is an option, that we swap out problem 16m parcels and replace with a Linden owned one set for the owner to buy.

[11:12] Jack Linden: But we're starting off by talking it through with the big micro-barons.

[11:12] Rem Nightfire: thank you thats a great plan

[11:12] Jack Linden: It would be much better if people will work with us to improve things

[11:12] xstorm Radek: thats good

[11:12] xstorm Radek: about time they get clean up

[11:12] Elanthius Flagstaff: I think the swapping thing will be great as well, hard to complain about that for both sides

[11:13] Drongle McMahon: Arbor has been working with you on this for years.

[11:13] Rem Nightfire: yes and some have started doing that, but there are some real die hards out there

[11:13] Talarus Luan: Yup. Unfortunately, the extortionist business model playbook does not have a "cooperation" page. :-/

[11:13] Jack Linden: Cristalle, we've a few things lined up for search that will help. We're looking at whether abusing the land listings might also become something we have to consider a governance issue

[11:13] Elanthius Flagstaff: Woah, what counts as abuse?

[11:13] Bushido Contepomi: Jack: You can always use the extra space along the roadside's for extra lanes of traffic in your new city developments;)

[11:13] Elanthius Flagstaff: Like, estate rentals for sale for L$1? Does that count?

[11:13] Jack Linden: A lot of adverts and stuff in the land sales that are not genuine for example

[11:14] Jack Linden: hehe Bushido

[11:14] Bushido Contepomi: -))

[11:14] Jack Linden: Drongle: agreed Arbor has done some good work

[11:14] Elanthius Flagstaff: Man, I secretly hate those people chasing the bottom of the market so they can advertise their estate. it's a double whammy for the mainland, they treat land sales list like a joke and they cut up mainland to ruin it and make it less attractive

[11:15] Brie Janick: Jack

[11:15] Brie Janick: id like to ask something

[11:15] Jack Linden: hey Brie

[11:15] Brie Janick: Are the any plans that would enable us to ban groups from our land not just individuals? Without having to buy grid wide security systems etcc. This should be an estate tool also.

[11:15] Jack Linden: go for it!

[11:15] Brie Janick: we are having big problems on our Oi and sims

[11:15] Equinox Pinion: good idea brie

[11:15] Jack Linden: hmm, you know there isn't anything on the slate right now for access/ban improvements, at least nothing short erm

[11:15] Jack Linden: *term

[11:15] Elanthius Flagstaff: Wouldn't they just change their group, or not bother joining it?

[11:16] Jack Linden: sorry. I agree it would be good if we could improve that

[11:16] Equinox Pinion: there are some known griefer groups

[11:16] Brie Janick: yes

[11:16] Brie Janick: and they seem to taget us lately

[11:16] Jack Linden: as elanthius says, it's a very easy restriction to get around too

[11:16] Brie Janick: target*

[11:16] Ciaran Laval: Surely known griefer groups should be banned full stop

[11:16] Talarus Luan: Actually, an oft-requested feature.. *checks JIRA*

[11:16] Qie Niangao: but... if they were banned by group, wouldn't they just change groups? they don't now, because there's no reason to.

[11:16] xstorm Radek: Jack bring back the cornfield

[11:17] Seany1235 Blinker: we getting a lot of the griefer groups coming to london at the moment

[11:17] Equinox Pinion: Qie...they would go for another estate...they give up fast

[11:17] Brie Janick: yes one nearly crashed the sim we had to retart with 51 people

[11:17] Bushido Contepomi: Elanthius: Why did you chop up the roadside in Cheetoh?

[11:17] Dirk Talamasca: Simply allowing residents to select land within a specific price range will go a long way toward eliminating the land sales abuse.. An option in only one direction is custom tailored for gaming.. You should be able to choose the price and size of a parcel more precisely.

[11:17] Elanthius Flagstaff: Bushido, I didn't, but I'm happy to prove it to you outside the meeting

[11:17] katykiwi Moonflower: i agree dirk

[11:17] Bushido Contepomi: Was it your bot's?

[11:18] Jack Linden: Dirk, agreed

[11:18] Dennis Lagan: the signifanctly reduced landmass in the past quarters drives more people to the for now still existing regions as well.

[11:18] Seany1235 Blinker: would be great to be able to ban the group not just the one person

[11:18] Elanthius Flagstaff: No, it wasn't me or my bots or my friends or my relatives or anyone related to me at all. Actually, I honestly don't know yet since I don't recognise the sim

[11:18] Talarus Luan: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2864

[11:18] Bushido Contepomi: See this is important, so that we can combat further cutting, I am just looking for clarification.

[11:18] Cristalle Karami: how many times do you have to hear that he doesn't cut, his bots just pick up the land when it's cheap.

[11:19] Elanthius Flagstaff: We'll put it back together after the meeting

[11:19] Drongle McMahon: Need to program the bots not to buy 16s...

[11:19] Ardy Lay: I'd like to ban objects bu their owner and/or creator. I wonder if anybody else would?

[11:19] Elanthius Flagstaff: Uh, why Drongle?

[11:19] xstorm Radek: no there is some people now running bots with out showing a paid account on them

[11:19] Rem Nightfire: lets stay with the convo with jack folks

[11:19] Drongle McMahon: To encourgae the cutters

[11:19] Elanthius Flagstaff: Do I even own land in Cheetoh?

[11:19] Equinox Pinion: why would you want to do that ardy

[11:20] xstorm Radek: some sort of group looks like

[11:20] Jack Linden: have you guys seenthe new meeting area to the NE of here?

[11:20] Talarus Luan: Saw it on the map

[11:20] xstorm Radek: yes

[11:20] Ardy Lay: Equi, same reason people would want to ban a group from a parce.

[11:20] Talarus Luan: Didn't know what it was yet

[11:20] xstorm Radek: great looking and less lag

[11:20] Jack Linden: once the new blog has gone out, and we start the bot/traffic discussions, i'm going to hold a couple of townhall type events there

[11:20] Talarus Luan: Looks rather "Pooley-Stage-like" :D

[11:20] Qie Niangao: must be some big scary announcement ahead, to need all that meeting space. ;)

[11:20] Jack Linden: try to get more people to come along to talk

[11:20] Elanthius Flagstaff: Uh, across four sim corners? Those things are a nightmare

[11:21] Talarus Luan: Yep

[11:21] xstorm Radek: please do not say Pooley

[11:21] Jack Linden: haha nothing sinister Qie

[11:21] Fontte Newbold: Mm... town halls.

[11:21] Elanthius Flagstaff: Why don't you just make special super powered Linden sims or something

[11:21] Qie Niangao: :)

[11:21] xstorm Radek: there has been bugs all arouns Pooly

[11:21] Fontte Newbold: Does this mean we get to fill four sims again without looking at PowerPoint presentations?

[11:21] xstorm Radek: people getting stuck AV's

[11:22] Jack Linden: hehe fontte

[11:22] Elanthius Flagstaff: Do you know what the future plans are for info hubs? I just found I have some land near one and I'm wondering if it's worth a billion L$/sqm

[11:22] Jack Linden: i'd like to be able to have some bigger discussions, so yeah.. 4 corners is better

[11:22] Rem Nightfire: sounds good

[11:22] Elanthius Flagstaff: Is it really that hard to just move that avatar limit over to 400?

[11:23] xstorm Radek: Ghost AV's getting stuck at log off is not fun for people paying to be in SL working

[11:23] Talarus Luan: Yeah, it probably is that hard, unfortunately. :-/

[11:23] Equinox Pinion: during the last restart some of our sims where offline for more than 2 hours...happends lately often....do you plant to avoid that in future

[11:23] Jack Linden: Infohubs, at least for a while, are now going to be looked after by my group. Before they were handled by a different part of the Lab

[11:23] Fontte Newbold: It worked well enough during the OS sim colluseum event.

[11:23] Dennis Lagan: probapply yes, since the tier had to be increased combined witha lower avi limit for certain sim types before.

[11:23] Jack Linden: That change is very recent. So now we're going to look into what we can do easily that can make them better

[11:23] Alexxa Despres: <,was amused at teh choice of a colliseum for the O/s event :-P

[11:23] Elanthius Flagstaff: So, would you say they're getting more attention now? Or is it going to be more or less business as usual?

[11:23] Jack Linden: DPW may do some more work for example

[11:23] Elanthius Flagstaff: I know a lot of people think they are being phased out

[11:24] Jack Linden: more attention. yes

[11:24] Marianne McCann: In what way are they being "looked after?" I know some existing ones need maintenance (the box is gone mising from many), and they are a perpetual governance headache

[11:24] xstorm Radek: Jack how will you take care of info hubs when there are a number of problems now with the TeleHubs in SL ?

[11:24] Jack Linden: they are very important places as a first experience. we need more signage etc, better explanation for people about why they have landed there etc

[11:24] Marianne McCann was just documenting ones missing their "infohub box" for a JIRA later today

[11:25] Alexxa Despres: To go off subject a bit....how is Linden Labs 'policing'...for lack of a better word.....that o/s sims are NOT being used as homesteads?

[11:25] Marianne McCann: I hope plans, such as they are, remain for the BC and NC infohubs

[11:25] Marianne McCann: I certainly know what I'd love to see in a BC 'hub

[11:25] Dennis Lagan: i do think that all this differnet kind of things like infohubs, help islands and more are confusing.

[11:26] Jack Linden: Marianne.. do throw that my way please

[11:26] Talarus Luan: They are bothering to "police" OS sims? O.o 750 prims, 10 avatars.. what would be the point in policing?

[11:26] Ciaran Laval: Are you going to look to third parties to run them Jack?

[11:26] Marianne McCann: Can do, Jack. Notecard or e-mail?

[11:26] Jack Linden: Marianne.. absolutely. I've already let the DPW know to move ahead with the bay city one

[11:26] Jack Linden: Ciaran.. that's interesting, not sure. ur land tools don't make that easy at all

[11:27] Jack Linden: As we're learning with blake sea.. there are some key features we need to make those sorts of arrangements safer

[11:27] Marianne McCann: Excellent. It makes the Bay Citizens very happy (Happy enough to hear my draft guidelines)

[11:27] Elanthius Flagstaff: I thought third parties already did run many of them. Like Ross is practically run by Prok

[11:27] Jack Linden: email please Marianne

[11:27] Jack Linden: I get so many notecards now it takes me a while to log in

[11:27] Jack Linden: hehe

[11:27] Seany1235 Blinker: lol

[11:27] Marianne McCann grins

[11:27] Talarus Luan: You need a suggestion drop box :P

[11:27] Dennis Lagan: Why is one of the SIm's in the blake sea owned bya group where USS managers are owner in?

[11:27] Jack Linden: Elanthius, there are residents involved in quite a few hubs yes

[11:28] xstorm Radek: Jack why not do what Blue Linden did ?

[11:28] Marianne McCann: Nova Albion is like the City Slickers, Elan

[11:28] Jack Linden: Dennis.. is that the start/finish one?

[11:28] Jack Linden: xstorm. what do you mean?

[11:28] Dennis Lagan: yes, there are many mainland sailing clubs, and they didn't get this benefit

[11:29] xstorm Radek: get a message board jack

[11:29] Jack Linden: Dennis, they are totally free to apply to become a part of blake sea if they wish to

[11:29] Dennis Lagan: i do think you should develop a system whee everyone can subscribe to such things in a transparent way

[11:29] xstorm Radek: Blue Linden has a message board web link on his profile

[11:29] Dennis Lagan: and what the procedure for requesting this?

[11:29] Dennis Lagan: *whats

[11:29] Cristalle Karami: what are the guidelines for getting attached to the Blake Sea? Full sim ownership plus what?

[11:30] Elanthius Flagstaff: Oh come on, no-one else is going to get added to Blake Sea. The sailing mafia will go crazy

[11:30] Equinox Pinion: jack...many did and got no answer

[11:30] Jack Linden: Dennis. this is transparent. If other sailing groups would like to be involved, they can ask. But it comes down to what they will add to the mainland, so it's a give and take, not just a place to move an estate to

[11:30] Marianne McCann: The sailing mafia will leave a seahorse head in your bed

[11:30] Jack Linden: Not all groups run organised events for new residents for example

[11:30] Marianne McCann giggles

[11:30] Dennis Lagan: whom should they contact? can a KB page be setup for this?

[11:30] Dennis Lagan: which explains this procedure

[11:31] Jack Linden: For blake sea they should contact the USS first of all. We'll be putting out a more general article explaining how other such projects can be suggested and what the likely criteria will be

[11:31] Jack Linden: We want to do more of these kinds of projects

[11:31] Elanthius Flagstaff: Exactly, why would the cartel ever let anyone else in on their scam?

[11:32] Ciaran Laval: That's handing USS an awful lot of power

[11:32] Elanthius Flagstaff: What's the benefit to them? If we have to contact them first every request will be filed in the bin

[11:32] Bahar Aya: Hello

[11:32] Talarus Luan: CC it to Concierge

[11:32] Equinox Pinion: why..is USS deciding who is joining the black sea

[11:32] Talarus Luan: If they are indeed 86ing requests, then it will be obvious

[11:33] Jack Linden: Ciaran, no it shouldn't be. It's a partnership and it needs to be inclusive as best we can manage.

[11:33] Jack Linden: And there wil be other watery spaces too, seas and so on.

[11:33] Dennis Lagan: yes, they can decide wether a resident falls or stand. they concider some sailing goeroes as "concurents" and therefore i think lindenlab should be the one to contact.

[11:33] Jack Linden: As i said, we want to do more like Blake sea

[11:34] Elanthius Flagstaff: Who else has been approved to join the mainland?

[11:34] Talarus Luan: I would normally presume that USS will evaluate all requests WITH Linden Lab Concierge oversight. That's just my presumption, though.

[11:34] Jack Linden: Well Dennis, if you have no luck then by all means let me know

[11:34] Marianne McCann: I wish there was a "united flying sims" out there,, or united riving in order to get the vehicle sims maintained

[11:34] Dennis Lagan: ok, thanx.

[11:34] Elanthius Flagstaff: Hey, you should get one of those train groups in on this thing. Everyone loves trains

[11:34] Jack Linden: Elanthius, no-one else yet but then we've only had maybe 5 people ask and 3 of those were sailing related

[11:35] Jack Linden: michael is busy making some plans for the SL RR Elanthius.. as you say, people seem to love trains

[11:35] Elanthius Flagstaff: But you could give all those strips of land to a residential group and they'd build it out. It would be extremely awesome

[11:35] Marianne McCann: Love what I've seen so far on SLRR work, and clid to se the sinica trade happened

[11:35] Cristalle Karami: Jack, I am very positive about the Blake Sea project and I'd like to thank LL for taking that step. Are there plans to put more water sims around the mainland continents, so that there can be more unrestricted travel?

[11:36] Jack Linden: the sinica trade rocks. really helps with the route for SLRR

[11:36] Elanthius Flagstaff: You should move the eastern continents closer to the western ones and then join them up with Homesteads

[11:36] Marianne McCann: By far. What are the plans with the rest of that area?

[11:36] xstorm Radek: it be nice to see the water sims get open up a path around some of the mainland sim as a path to link sims that way

[11:37] Jack Linden: cristalle.. definitely. we want to keep adding new spaces to the Mainland

[11:37] Drongle McMahon: Jack. What's happening on Linden Remembrance/Memorial Memorial island?

[11:37] Qie Niangao: yeah, the problem with the Blake Sea is that it starts in the East and goes East. :P

[11:37] Marianne McCann is looking forward to some finish to the edgs of Bay City nd upper Shermerville some day in the distant future

[11:38] Talarus Luan: Just make sure it is more than a single OS sim bridging continents.. would hate to see a griefer use camping bots to fill up the av slots and block all traffic. :-/

[11:38] Jack Linden: Drongle: this was an idea we had some time ago but have only just come to doing. Basically we want a space where we can have permanent monuments etc for world disasters and SL residents that we have sadly lost.

[11:38] Jack Linden: Somewhere quiet and where people can spend time to remember

[11:38] Ewan Mureaux: policies that went astray etc

[11:38] Rem Nightfire: that would be wonderful jack

[11:38] Marianne McCann: Would this replace the work done by volunteers in Biloxi and Big Easy? Hate to see the "remembrance garden" go away

[11:38] Alexxa Despres: Ewan :-P

[11:38] Cristalle Karami: that's a very lovely gesture.

[11:39] Jack Linden: it's always very sad when we hear of residents that have passed, and it felt as if we needed somewhere to remember them

[11:39] Rem Nightfire: yes if you want assistance from residents for that, count me in

[11:39] xstorm Radek: that be great

[11:39] Seany1235 Blinker: great idea

[11:39] Jack Linden: Marianne.. i think those places are great.. and if they'd like to contribute something to the Linden space then even better

[11:40] Marianne McCann: Jack - I was one of the resident builders and do have a backup of that garden

[11:40] Jack Linden: We'll probably have to steer clear of things that are overtly religious or political though. As you'd probably expect

[11:40] Marianne McCann nods

[11:40] Jack Linden: Marianne.. let Michael or Brent know. they are watching over the building there

[11:41] Marianne McCann: Can do. They seem to mostly just want it to be mole controlled, so I'm not sure what the plan is on that

[11:41] Fontte Newbold: That is, until you realize how lucrative lobbying can be. Oh, wait.

[11:41] Cristalle Karami: lol Fontte

[11:41] Jack Linden: :)

[11:41] Equinox Pinion: lol

[11:42] xstorm Radek: Jack i seen on Xstreet that we can no longer get terminals any more unless its linden land ? If some one abbandon land to have a Xstreet put on then can that be done ?

[11:42] Jack Linden: xstorm, I'm really not sure. I think abandoned land would just get recycled as normal, we're not going to preserve it as protected land

[11:43] Equinox Pinion: xstorm...soon you will not use them anymore

[11:43] Cristalle Karami: Jack, how close do you think we are to having full sims of mainland back on auction?

[11:43] Dennis Lagan: slx and sl accounts will be merged

[11:43] Elanthius Flagstaff: And when are we getting the economic stats page back?

[11:43] xstorm Radek: I do not wish to see that done

[11:44] Jack Linden: Cristalle. I expect the market could probably absorb some at this point, but not the constant flow that we had previously. We've not made any decisions to put more out rigth now though

[11:44] Ciaran Laval: Well we're going to have a unified login so it's bound to happen

[11:44] Drongle McMahon: After the recession, Elanthius? :-)

[11:44] xstorm Radek: the TOS do not permit that unless some one will redefine the TOS again to let xstreet do that

[11:44] Ciaran Laval: Xstreet are LL now

[11:44] Dennis Lagan: xstreet is lindenlab

[11:44] Jack Linden: Elanthius.. once we have a set of good data to push out there really.

[11:44] Equinox Pinion: lol

[11:45] Elanthius Flagstaff: Oh, how high do you rate the chances that paypal will ban SL transactions because of all the adult activity?

[11:45] Cristalle Karami: even if the sim was abandoned? i saw one that apparently was abandoned, and it's purple with an assigned number.... will that go into limbo?

[11:45] xstorm Radek: it do not matter Xstreet is still setup under 3rd party software thats not part of LL

[11:45] Talarus Luan: Yes, it is taking a while to get out those stubborn bad data points :P

[11:45] Elanthius Flagstaff: Man, someone abandoned a full sim?

[11:45] Equinox Pinion: where do you have that rumor from

[11:45] Dennis Lagan: lindenlab bought it all.

[11:45] Jack Linden: I've no info on that Elanthius, but itwould seem extremely unlikely

[11:45] Dennis Lagan: lindenlab outsources stuff too, so i do"nt see the problem

[11:46] Dennis Lagan: and who says it wil lstill be when the accounts gets merged?

[11:46] Jack Linden: Cristalle.. if it has an auction id then at some point it will be auctioned

[11:46] xstorm Radek: unless LL takes down Xstreet and puts it on the SecondLife web site it will not be in the TOS rules

[11:47] Equinox Pinion: but in the xstreets TOS

[11:47] Talarus Luan: O.o that doesn't have anything to do with it, xstorm. It can be whatever LL wants it to be, and I am sure it will have either its own ToS, or link to the existing one.

[11:47] xstorm Radek: pluss Xstreet has not one Vending system at all

[11:47] Talarus Luan: That's a good thing. :)

[11:47] Bushido Contepomi: Jack: What should we do about the existing donut holes in/on our properties at this time?

[11:47] Equinox Pinion: but they wrote they are thinking about making one

[11:48] xstorm Radek: then why bother with Xstreet any more just close it and start over

[11:48] Talarus Luan: Personally, I would prefer a standard API and let vendor makers make vendors which integrate with that API

[11:48] xstorm Radek: that souns better

[11:48] Jack Linden: Bushido.. I would hang on while we address the micro parcels more generally. you may find the price droppingon them etc

[11:48] xstorm Radek: Talarus that will work

[11:49] Dennis Lagan: prolly because xstreet was a danger. many many secondlife users have an account there. when xstreet would start to offer services to a different virtual world, many sl users would eventually give it a try.

[11:49] Ewan Mureaux: when will they be adressed and when will see an actual policy?

[11:49] Talarus Luan: I don't see much point in LL making the only "standard" vendors.

[11:49] Equinox Pinion: agree talarus

[11:49] xstorm Radek: having inworld venders as long as they stay on the secondlife servers stays with in the TOS

[11:50] Talarus Luan: I certainly wouldn't use them.

[11:50] Marianne McCann: Time f'r me to scoot - have fun all!

[11:50] Talarus Luan: Take care, Mari :)

[11:50] Jack Linden: byeee

[11:50] Equinox Pinion: take cae marianne

[11:50] Marianne McCann: Bye Bye!!

[11:51] Dennis Lagan: bye!

[11:51] Talarus Luan: OK, so a few more weeks before we start flooding the AR channels, then?

[11:51] Cristalle Karami: tc Mari

[11:51] Talarus Luan: (for the microparcel issues, that is)

[11:51] xstorm Radek: yep

[11:51] Jack Linden: Ewan, i doubt there will be a specific policy just for doughnut parcels, but we will generally be pushing to get the number of 16m parcels down and the prices more reasonable

[11:52] Drongle McMahon: How?

[11:52] Cuddlebug Clowes: will the owners of the land that have these donuts in them have first option to buy?

[11:52] Talarus Luan: I just want to see the harassment and extortion end, regardless of the microparcel configuration.

[11:52] Elanthius Flagstaff gets busy cutting mobius strips out of land.

[11:53] Ewan Mureaux: ok because some people are sort of "mooning" you over the policy like the new cuts in jubata

[11:53] Talarus Luan: Though, sometimes, the microparcel configuration, by itself, represents the harassment and extortion.

[11:53] Drongle McMahon: The only push that will work is a financial incentive. It doesn't need to be punitive.

[11:53] Rem Nightfire: its long long overdue these extortion plots have been in place for over a year in many cases

[11:53] xstorm Radek: but i have a lot of work to do with no longer having any Onrez venders inworld any place i may have to use a german site that says they can do what Xstreet no longer and do any more

[11:53] Jack Linden: I think we have to see how it goes. If the big owners of micro parcels are not prepared to work with us to improve the mainland, then we mayhave to take other steps. But fundamentally, we are going to improve things as any estate owner would

[11:53] Cristalle Karami: there is a commerce office hours this afternoon... i think it's with Grant Linden. it's on the wiki

[11:53] Dennis Lagan: well, if that gets to big, they will eventually buy it too

[11:54] Ciaran Laval: When?

[11:54] Cristalle Karami: 2pm SLT

[11:54] Ciaran Laval: Ah interesting

[11:54] Seany1235 Blinker: ok i have to run work calls bye all take care

[11:54] Equinox Pinion: there are still people who use these 16sm parcels in the correct way

[11:54] Talarus Luan: I hope so, Jack. :) I can say finally that it is about time.

[11:55] Ciaran Laval: How's the work on the new roads going Jack?

[11:55] Jack Linden: :) okay i have to dash in a moment, have another inworld meeting to get to and I need a hot drink.

[11:56] Cristalle Karami: thanks Jack

[11:56] Jack Linden: new rods keep going! we'll probably run out of roads to complete in a couple of months time

[11:56] Rem Nightfire: thanks jack keep plugging

[11:56] Jack Linden: *roads

[11:56] Equinox Pinion: take care ajck

[11:56] Equinox Pinion: ooops

[11:56] Brie Janick: Ty Jack

[11:56] Qie Niangao: thanks for hosting Jack

[11:56] Bushido Contepomi: Thanks for the meeting , and update Jack:)

[11:56] xstorm Radek: Jack why did not LL just convert the Onrez venders to Xstreet venders and make the Xstreet system all inworld ?

[11:56] Jean Swashbuckler: ty Jack

[11:56] Ciaran Laval: Cheers Jack

[11:56] Jack Linden: thanks all! take care!

[11:56] Cristalle Karami: ask Grant at the commerce office hours, xstorm

[11:56] Melodie Darwin: thanks Jack

[11:56] Cristalle Karami: this is an estate meeting

[11:56] Jack Linden: xstorm.. not my area i'm afraid so I'm really not sure
