Hi there!
Don't think I really need a wiki page ... lol ...
but well, maybe _you_ need to know a little bit more about me. ok. I am a RL behavioral scientist from Germany. Behavioral scientist are psychologists who are not therapists, but interested in what average, "normal" persons behavior is. For average, normal persons usually™ think: psychologist == therapist it was necessary to make up a new word. My special scientific interests are in -surprise- virtual reality and human-computer interfaces. I wrote my "Diplom"-thesis (German equivalent of master of science) about psychology of personality, focusing on gender differences in autobiographic/episodic memory; not exactly VR and HCI but also an scientific interest of mine :D
My computer and programming background goes back to the 80s, first program written on an Apple ][ at the age of 10 (or so); later C64 Basic V2 and 6510 Assembler; then several Basic dialects and MC68000 Assembler on Atari ST; then Turbo Pascal and (a little) C on a 8088 machine.
Since 90s until 2008 not much(a little bash here, some LaTeX there and R for the "masters" thesis); but SL re-addicted me to programming. So contributing now VWR-8436 to (at the time writing future version of) the Second Life client, and a few patches to the Imprudence client ( https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers#Imprudence ).
My vision about viewer development is bringing viewer projects together to have more synergy for the most user friendly viewer possible, a viewer that as well provides help for beginners as it provides expert features for experts. Without the experts spammed by absolute beginner informations, and without beginners asked to activate expert features.
Enough?
