Tess Chu's areas of expertise include software engineering and architecture, puppies, distributed systems and development, the cello, computer games, Web 2.0, Mozart, and virtual worlds. She studied computer architecture, operating systems, compilers, algorithms, machine structure, and artificial intelligence at U.C. Berkeley where she received a B.A. in Computer Science. At Synopsys she lead, managed, and implemented a worldwide locations Intranet site, reported high level statistics, and developed processes for vendor management and internal software deployment. Tess currently leads a talented globally distributed development team at Linden Lab that focuses on architectural changes supporting Second Life's growing infrastructure.
